Hi Guys,
We are trying to increase our rankings for the term "natural beauty products" for our home page....
I have created an article all about natural beauty products with the url as...
domain/natural-beauty-products.html
what I am worried about is this... because this page has more information all about the key word phrase & the url is the keyword phrase, will it out do my root domain ranking?
I created the page to try and give the home page some weight for that key phrase, now I am wondering if I should have had the url as something like "why we love natural beauty products"
then in that page included the keyword phrase link back to the home page!
Hope this makes sense.

We do have a blog, I just tried the link and it worked fine?
The only link is from the about us menu. Is that ok?

In the footer your got a link going to blog, this is a broken link, remove it until there is actually a blog for it to go to.
Do you have a link on your site somewhere leading to that article you wrote?

They have created a inner page, optimised for the keyword they are going after on the homepage, so title tag, url, h1, content on article page all optimised towards "natural beauty products".
Then running an anchor text link out of the content to the root.

When writing articles you are always get strong article pages that come up before your home page on curtain terms. If it is a major topic as you have mentioned then just make sure you link to your home page and also make sure the home page contains the main topic keyword. You must make sure that all your article pages have very strong and clear call-to-actions otherwise it defeats the point of them ranking well and acting like valuable entry pages (which they should)

I cant see it out ranking your homepage to be honest, maybe change your title tag to 'Why we Love Natural Beauty Products' so it fits in with your h1 tag.

Good day. I am fairy new to SEO and a lot of things about how google ranking works is very confusing to me. For example i do not understand why websites that are not optimized score 1st positions. Currently i am working on optimizing http://logiunvarti.lv/ for google.lv. Advice needed on making some pages more relevant...
Hello - and sorry to bother you all. I am learning on my feet with SEO, but gradually getting there. I have started a directory for musical instruments and need to make the profile pages for dealers as relevant as possible (their instruments are doing well, but profile views less so). The following link is an example. http://www.amati.com/music-shops/dealers/dealer/turner-violins.html all of them can be found here: http://www.amati.com/music-shops/dealers/page-1.html We are putting in a search box to help with functionality, but if any one can give me an idea how to make these profiles super then I would be enormously grateful! A few questions I need help with and would appreciate any help.
I am currently building links to our website via estalished blogs ect (2+ years old), As far as I understand even if they are unrelated to what we do (print) as long as the post is about print the link should offer some value is this correct? Other questions I have which I would greatly appreciate advice in are as follows........ (1) Do charity websites or company websites with link pages ( about5-10 other links) or links / logo's on the front page offer value even on unrelated sites? (2) What happens if 80% of the link building I am doing comes from blogs? (3) If I have links that are clearly spam that have been built to our site can they be damaging our potential to rank and how can I remove them as I have tried to contact the relevant parties but fear pressing the button on the google tool may harm our site should I? (4) If I have a page that genuinely has a lot of mentions of a keyword (not so much the money keyword but part such as wanting to rank for pool table but end up with the different versions of keywords having table mentioned 5 - 10% of the time). I work at an ecommerce site and we are in the process setting up a blog. Do I need to use rel canonical what talking about a certain category? If I sell widgets and write a blog about widgets should I use that tag? Or is there something else I should do?

Am I using my Blog properly? -- Advice Please
Hello... I am just looking for some feedback in regards to the blog on my website. I am using the blog to create unique and fresh content, hoping that it will in turn help my site attract visitors and better rankings... My question is, does each post have to be at least 500 words or is a 300 word post fine? I do put hyperlinks back to the correlating pages on the site inside each of these posts, just wanted some feedback on if everything i write needs to be roughly 500 words..... Need ideas to get do follow links from highly competative niche "wedding"
I need to get high quality do-follow links and my target market/keyword is ‘Maui wedding’ and a few others. Because it is such a competitive market I am having a hard time getting links from local companies providing Maui Weddings (I know why because they are my competitors) and national companies sites aren't much help because they are trying to provide leads to their advertisers.
