Two link building proposals, which one is better?
-
Hi there,
Our site has a DA of 73, MozRank 5.40, MozTrust 5.88, and over 45,000 external links. We haven't done any offsite SEO before, we got to where we are today organically. We're thinking about hiring a link building firm to help increase our rankings and we've received two proposals.
-
Firm A offered to build us 30 links from DA 50+ sites over 3 months. The anchor text will most likely just be our domain name.
-
Firm B offered to build us 90 links from PR2+ sites over 3 months. They have control over the anchor text.
Given our site's profile, which proposal makes more sense for us? Would either of these initiatives move the needle for us?
Thanks.

Both sound risky. Either way you could end up with a lot of low quality links. If your as large as you are, I would hire a firm to work on content you can market organicaly and presurve your natural looking profile with all the unnatural links warnings going around.

will agree with EGOL... doing something that is in benefit of your audience and market it properly will help you get more links in less time...
Offer free (lame give away but as i didnt have one i always recommend this...) ipad for instance against a quiz or something and you will get links and words from the bloggers in your industry and may be some participants and winners might also link to you...
in short... Building Relationship is Building Links...

If I had DA of 73, MozRank 5.40, MozTrust 5.88, and over 45,000 external links..... my thought would be... what will a cheap link package do to help?
I would spend some time doing something for the site that visitors will enjoy. I think that you will get more impact from that.
-
Haha, why wouldn't these work?
-
I would spend the money on beer.

I have to agree with Kane! Proposals that offer specific number of links they will build of certain quality in a certain period of time sounds lousy to me! But all you have to do is to select 1 then Proposal 1 is better in that case…
IMO! Ideally, there should be a least number of links they should offer over a period of time but when you go for link baiting stuff that includes infographics, quizzes, whitepaper and more… building 30 to 40+ quality links from different quality areas are fairly possible over the period of 45 days…
-
With all the penalties happening to everybody, I would go the low-risk way. ESPECIALLY if your site is already profitable.
-
Firms guaranteeing specific numbers of links from specific quality sites generally set off a red flag for me. Those are both hard things to guarantee.
All things held equal, Firm A is probably offering better quality links. That said, 30 links from DA 50+ isn't very hard to get - they can do that by filling out a bunch of Internet Yellow Page listings. Do they give you any other information on how they're building the links?
I hope Firm B isn't asking you to pay more than $100 a month...

Is Back Link Building still Good Practice
Since all the updates from Google I'm unsure as to whether I should be pursuing good quality back links and how many per month?for my website www.polesandblinds.com . We don't have a very large back link profile and its at least half of some of our competitors, we are currently active on blogging and the 4 main social sites. Many Thanks I look forward to your suggestions/advice/criticism.

More than 2K dofollow links, from one site with one anchor text?
A week ago one person of our team added a link with anchor text on a web directory website PR5, but from this one link, Google indexed more than 2K links from this website with same anchor text, and then our keyword ranked first on SERP. The problem is that this clearly look like SPAM to Google, so which way is better to remove this link, with disawow tool, or to contact the web directory site owner?Could anyone give me any advice for this?

Do you stop link building once you have your desired rank?
So with all these updates hitting sites left, right and center. Now you have your desired rank on Google, do you stop link building for that project? I can see some positives in this You will not add links that will get hit by future updates. If you do get hit in future updates you have less links to remove. Obviously it an outstanding link came along from BBC or CNN you would go for that. But press releases etc would you now stop anything like that?

Outsourcing Link Building
I have searched through various freelance sites for link building services, and it looks like there are plenty of people who can get links on PR4+ sites at a pretty cheap rate. You know how they always say when it looks too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true? People are charging around $250 for 50 links on sites with good page rank, do follow, etc... Do you think it could help or hurt my SEO campaign, considering I have a good site with solid content and other good content posted on the web?

Where do I find the best link building company?
Hi there, I'm trying to find an ethical, honest, link building company. We don't want links on shady forums, or comment spam, or any of that black hat nastyness!. I want links, on proper sites, and I'm prepared to pay for them accordingly. We're also more than happy to write/have written/ quality content that can be linked to. (We already pump out about 15 x 400+ word, optimised blogs weeks) We spend hours on the various social media sites also. So I think the only thing we're really missing now, is decent backlinks and possibly some more long tail keywords... Over to you guys. Paul.

So I ran into a site that was not ranking 4 days ago and has over 2 million links to it on some keywords. My guess is this is a link bomb, but the issue is this is pushing one of my sites down. Does anyone know a good way to over come a bomb like this?
So I ran http://www.riogrande.com/ into this site not that long ago and wanted to see if any other SEO's have an opinion on it. I've seen a Google bomb before, but the amount of links going into this URL is insane. The thing is how does one over come a Google Bomb? Do you just wait to see what Google does or do you just hope to rank under that URL? I should also note that it appears that all the keywords to it are relevant to the sites content. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Link building tools/sites
I am looking for a way to share my content in multiple locations to build back links without having to upload one at a time per location. For example- if i write an article and i upload it to ezine articles and then post it over on my blog- it will then post over on my twitter and facebook and linked in. However- how i can also get this article with back links into shared sites, bookmark sites, and other locations online to help build my inbound marketing for back links. I'm trying to find a way to save time while building out the links.
