Same email address for two google places?
-
Should I use the same email address for two offices in two different locations for google places registration or am I better off using two different email addresses?
-
Good to know this helped, Arthur. Thanks for using Q&A!
-
Thanks all that is perfect info
-
Hi Arthur,
As others have mentioned, if you're talking about 2 locations for the same business, there's no problem with using the same email address for Places. Go right ahead.
-
We use 1 account / email for 14 different locations if the business name is different they will both come up in a search if the names are the same it will only choose the one closest or most optimized
-
You would ideally use one email address to give continuity and to monitor and manage all your locations under one account. In fact I don't understand why you would have two accounts for two Google Places unless they were separate businesses.
-
Hi Arthur,
I believe you're just talking about management of your Places pages, right? If that's the case, it's totally fine manage both under one Google Account. In fact, this would be preferable since you'll be able to view stats about your pages and make edits in one location.

From a marketing and analytic point I would use two different email address purely so I can monitor which location is driving more enquiries and from a users point he/she would know which office he/she is addressing to.
hope this helps

How can you activate the 'Results From' internal search bar on Google SERP?
Hi There, I am hoping someone can advise me on getting the 'Results From' sitelink to display for my site on the Google SERP? I have searched far and wide for the answer with no luck. I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks! Internal_Search_Google_SERP_zps75a5383e.jpg

Google directs people to the wrong page on my site.
My site is split up into sections about different services my company offers. My problem is, when someone does a search for one of those services, My site's main page comes up rather than the page devoted to the particular service they were searching for. What can I do to make the pages about a specific service rank above my main page?

Blogposts and Google Rankings
I'm pretty new to all of this, my new website is starting to come along nicely in the SERPs, now appear on page 4 for my main key phrases were I didn't appear last week at all. I'm now on a mission to get myself ranked higher but my website is pretty much done... apart from the ongoing blogposts that I need to add, I'm a wedding photographer so every shoot is going on to it. My question, my blogposts aren't necessarily targeting my main key phrase, it might be mentioned once or twice but ultimately it'll most likely be the venue that steals the targeting. By adding the blogposts (I still have 36 to do) and using my keyphrase sparing, will this help to elevate me from page 4 in google? I know that I still need to build backlinks etc to but just something I can't seem to find an answer for on google hehe.

Does Google use 302's to pass value to the target page?
Hi, I've received the below advice, is this correct? Throughout the site, the 302 (moved temporarily) status code is used for redirects, which Google will use to pass value to the target page. Is this correct? I was under the impression a 301 was used to pass value to the target page? Could someone explain the difference between a 301 and a 302, I'm not 100% sure. Thanks, Nathan

Some of my pages have KWs in common and google is switching those resulting in rank loss, how to fix that?
Hello, my site deals with pictures you can download and print for free. Because people search for it I have several page with similar content. For example: picture of dog free printing image of dog free printing painting of dog free printing picture of cat free printing image of cat free printing painting of cat free printing Just as an example. Now after tracking my ranks I found out that google changes those sites in the rankings. For example for the kw picture of dog free printing the site for picture of dog free printing is in the rankings but on another day it is image of dog free printing and on another painting of dog free printing. So those Google is switching the pages for one kw some times and it seems each time it does that I'm loosing rankings. I'm thinking it is because image of dog free printing and painting of dog free printing isn't as well optimized as the page that should appear: picture of dog free printing. With the more general kw of free printing it is even more complicated. I get some traffic through free printing (just an example) and all 6 example pages are being shown in the google search results from one day to another and again it looses some rank each time. What can I do to stop this?

Two Word Company Name (Combined to One) & SEO
Hi All, I'm dealing with a company that has a two word name like "GreatCompany". They rank #1 for that but not for "Great Company". The phrase is not super competitive, but obviously they are not writing the company name with two words anywhere on their site. Has anyone had to deal with something like this? Thinking about creative solutions but I'm fairly sure we're going to need to use the name both ways to have an effect here (or use PPC to augment) but I don't really love the idea of doing that... will feel very odd and inconsistent for visitors. Thanks!

What´s the penalization extent applied by Google?
Hi! I still don´t get this web site penalization applied by Google due to duplicate content. My site has many of pages that were among the first positions for top keywords (A Photoshop web site). Those pages were linked by sites like LifeHacker, BoingBoing, Microsiervos, SmashingMagazine, John Nack, and many other well known blogs. After mid February 2012 everything went down the drain. I lost half of my traffic and my well ranked pages are now almost nowhere to be found. I have plenty of ads in some pages of my site, and duplicate content (amazon product description only) in other pages of my site. So, the good quality pages my site has, are no longer considered as good quality just because I have some duplicate content or ad filled pages? I´m not complaining. I´m trying to understand this. Google needs to serve good information to their visitors. But since they found some trash in my site, they decide to remove both the trash and the good information from the search engine? That doesn´t sound logical to me. Why don´t they just remove the trash and leave the good content? Of course, I understand that information is added everyday and some may come up with something better than mine, but dropping 40 or more places in the ranking sounds more like a penalty to me. Again, I´m not complaining (although it sounds like I am!), just want to understand the reasons behind this. Thanks, Enrique
