Where to find SEO firms
-
I didn't know where to look, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
Are there any resources on seomoz.org for finding seo firms that will handle outsource work?
-
One obvious answer is to google seo and the town you are in e.g SEO Seattle and see which companies have managed to get themselves optimised for that.
If any companies look promising try searches like company name scam, company name problems, company name reviews to see if there are any known issues with the company.

It is like to find an ad agency - you have to ask yourself e. g.:
- Where am I or the targeted market oriented? (Do you want a company from different city/state/country/continent?)
- What is my budget? (Some SEO agencies are focused on small budgets, some on enterprise level.)
- What kind of work or cooperation I am looking for? (Some agencies are experts in link-building, some in information architecture, some can offer everything on very high level.).
You can try http://www.sempo.org/?page=member_directory but it is not useful in all countries nor some good SEO companies are not participating.
Another resource is http://www.topseos.com/search-engine-marketing-companies/seo/, but less reputable.
You can find some SEO experts even here: http://www.seomoz.org/users and http://www.seomoz.org/marketplace/companies..

SEO & URL parameters on external links
Hey guys! I've got a quick question: We are getting some guest posting opportunities with a few big sites in our space...
Link Building | | floriannin
In those guest posts we will also have to chance to link back to 1-2 articles of ours and to our main site. Should I use UTM parameters to track how many clicks we get or will this in any way negatively affect our SEO benefits? Hope you guys know what I mean. I found tons of articles on this but mostly about inbound links... which isn't the case here. Thanks in advance 🙂0 -
Is there any SEO value of an HTML Sitemap, or is it strictly UI/UX?
We have an xml sitemap that generates daily, and our site and navigation is strong. Is there any added SEO value in either the links, or content of an html sitemap? I only see answers from several years ago so not sure if things have changed that would increase or decrease the importance. Thanks

Are links from BBB on non-accredited business pages helping SEO?
I've been doing a lot of research on BBB and the site's value. I know you have to pay for accreditation as well as a link, and most search engine optimizers says it's worth it. I added a company to BBB in October, but I did not pay for accreditation or a link, and yet a link still appears on the business' BBB page. Is this link still a followed link? Does Google view it as an important link? If a non-paid link on BBB is still good, I don't see too many more benefits to BBB accreditation than the trust factor and possibly gaining an A+ ranking.

Spammy Links in MOZ but when I go to the external link I can't find a link to us
I was going to try to contact webmasters to see if they would remove some of our spammy links. I see alot of them in MOZ but when you go to the site our anchor text is not there. Is this good? How often does MOZ refresh external links. Please see: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/anchors?site=www.totalvac.com None of the links for the anchor text <a class="clickable title link-pivot" title="See top linking pages that use this anchor text." data-text="vacuum cleaner parts vacuum parts vacuum bags vacuum cleaner bags" data-id="46391436859">vacuum cleaner parts vacuum part...</a> in MOZ exist? We got hit extremely hard by Penguin in May

How can I find all the outbound links from a website domain?
I want to find all the outbound links (basically whatever comes in <a>tag) from a domain (say www.abc.com) as well as all the subdomains under it (say abc.com/a etc). Open Site Explorer provides the inbound links from a website but does not provide any functionality to get all the outbound links from a website. Is it possible to do?</a> <a>Thanks in advance. Should I use RSS Feeds for SEO Purposes?
Hello... I am wondering if RSS feeds are good for SEO purposes... If i have a blog on my e-commerce site that links back into my site, should i then submit my feed to a bunch of RSS feed sites? Please tell me if i should be submitting my feed to all the RSS Feed Blog directories i can find or if that will appear as though i'm trying to gain links in the wrong way, from Google's perspective. For example: http://www.feedage.com/ http://www.feedlisting.com/ .... just to name a few of the directories i've found Thanks

SEO companies
So prior to joining SEOmoz I have tried a few seo companies and had somewhat decent results. All of these companies did things like: directory submissions
Link Building | | shiftins
social bookmarking
social profiles
blog comments
article syndication
press release and so forth. These things that they were doing worked and improved the rankings of my websites in the serps. After some time and research I figured out that all this stuff was easy to do and that I could do these things myself. After joining SEOmoz I come to find that these types of links are not considered high quality because they are easy to acquire. Some of you may even say that they are the basis of a spammy link profile. My question is why would you not want to do these things if they work and all of your competition is using these strategies, including big name brand companies?0
