Has anyone here implemented rich snippets for clients/own properties and can advise how long it took for them to appear in Google

At the start of the year they appeared within 24 hours. Now some do not appear at all such as those associated with ratings.

Hi,

I have done this for some clients. It takes a while; you need to wait for Google to index the pages. And in the mean time, you can check how the page is mostly likely to appear in Google's SERP in Google Rich Snippet Testing Tool.

I just got hammered by a Google penalty - My guess is it was was keyword stuffing anchor text...help!

Hi, I just woke up to find my website had disappeared from search results in Google relevant to my business keywords. Looking back over the past few weeks I realise I went 'keyword heavy' in a few too many back links. I am careful to avoid websites with a high spam score and have varies anchor text well in the past. However, now the website has 86% less search visibility and I am being penalised for all searches apart from my brand name. I have tried to change as many back links with the keyword in question as I can but some links I can't change. My questions: Will this penalty be for good? What else can I do to rectify the situation?

Can anyone explain this Google+ subdomain?

https://google36059.reachlocal.net/collections/featured This seems really odd to me. It appears to be a fully working Google+ page and I can access the links that are other Google+ pages, but it is a subdomain of Reach Local. Any ideas?

Gained my first quality link, was it worth 2 hours of work?

Hello,
I'm a newbie. I'm building a brand new site. In a niche service business, worldwide.
Today I gained my first link, I tried to reach to the highest qualify link I could identify.
I'd like to know if you think my two hours effort was worthy, or laughable. Because I can gain other 3 or 4 links from other domains working like that. I tell you where is my first link: the top domain is in the same niche business, DA 79
My link is in a subdomain page (always in the same niche business) that has: 20 other links (mine is the only external dofollow) Domain Authority 79 /100 Page Authority 31 /100 Page Link Metrics Just-Discovered 79 in 32 Days Established Links 1 Root Domain 4 Total Links the homepage of the subdomain has Page Authority of 66 /100 Page Social Metrics 0 0 0 0 0 I'd appreciate any feedback.

Over optimization of Anchor Text | Consequences, Guidelines, Precautions

Hi everyone. I am really worried because of the constant penguin and panda algorithms. I hired two or three SEO agencies and they did some link building for my pages a while ago. And just this time, our rankings dropped almost sitewide some 7-8 positions. I checked our link profile in this site , and we do not seem to have spammy links. I admit that we do have some low link quality, such as directories, blog posts, etc. And it seems to have 10-15 links with overoptimized anchor text, such as keyword exact anchor text, etc. I have a couple of questions regarding this matter? - What entitles an overoptimized anchor text? I mean, i can´t control people linking to me out there, and many of them used the product or brand name. Added to the fact that my former agency used article marketing links with exact keyword. - If i "overoptimized" my anchor text, what is the best solution?, I could change some anchor text by asking some people. Should i disavow, delete? What is your best bet here? - What is (May 27 2013) best practice for anchor text or link referall. I know it will keep changing, but i want to engage in the right practice right now. should link with www.domain.com/keywordpage.html, or how would one look natural? -I saw some recent links that are really strange to me. Could the competition be sending me some bad links in order to augment the situation. Is that something normal?, it sounds strange to me. Thanks for your valuable advice. I know many people are frustrated with these penalties and hits. Because there are still many sites with Mass EMDs, 3-page content, flash sites, that are ranking better than a high quality and engaging one. How can I check a website to see if it is "nofollow"?

I'm a little new to SEO, so maybe this is obvious to some . . . I'm attempting to build backlinks by submitting articles, posting on forums etc. I just wrote my forst article for ezine and submitted it. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I mentioned it to someone trying to sell me their SEO services and he said that ezine articles are considered "nofollow" on all their links. Well, that was pretty frustrating to hear! It got me wondering, how many of these other sites have all their posts and blogs listed as "nofollow"? Is there a way for me to figure it out ahead of time? Obviously, there are only so many hours in the day and I would rather focus on posting on sites that will actually help me build backlinks! Thanks for your help in advance!
