Is it a good idea to make HubPages? Or Squidoo lens?
-
Hello,
I would like to promote the products in http://www.giftbasket4kids.com with Hubpage and or Squidoo.com. we are starting with Christmas Items. Please share your ideas as
Should we use Hubs or Squidoo
Presently he website is under reconsideration with Google for Penguin hit. We have lost most of the keywords on three landing pages. We do not have a lot of time before Christmas sales. How fast can we publish the pages?
What are to do and what not to do list.
I appreciate all your comments.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Saeed,
Don't bother with the Hubs or Squidoo. Focus your efforts on creating great content for your own site and blog.
I noticed the blog - http://giftbaskets4kids.blogspot.com.au/ - is quite spammy looking and probably not content that is going to get shared. What I would do is create a Christmas gift guide on your site with several different categories and pages, and then go about creating a plan to write great content for your site and blog that will promote these gift ideas.
When writing content for you blog, make sure it's going to be useful to the customer. Don't be afraid to link to outside sources.
Thanks

Thank you so much for great guidance. In last 2-3 months, I added 80 fresh contents for my products keeping the customer in mind. I added 10 new page contents to guide the customers to choose product. I added video to all my product page. I am planning to add more content at regular pace. I see Google loves it they get index very quickly. Do you think I should do more? The guest blog is best idea. I am trying to find the authority site in gift basket that allows me to guest blog there. I had no luck yet.
Please help me to understand. Penguin deals with inbound links, repeated anchor text. Adding the content will help my internal link. How does it help to recover Penguin ?

Agreed

IMO If you want to recover from Panda, building content on crappy free-for-alls like Squidoo or Hubpages isn't the way to go.
If you're going to create some new unique content, make it awesome and post it on your own site OR create extra-awesome content and try and score a guest blog on an authority site in your niche.

Hey,
I think Squidoo would be the better choice, because of the community and easy of use. I don't think the user-base of HubPages will be very receptive to any promotional efforts from you, because that's simply not their thing. HubPages is more formal and professional, whereas Squidoo is the opposite and thus, in my opinion, would be a better choice for you.
Here's an example of a relevant Squidoo lens...

What's the best way to go about making Duplicate Content Pages on my domain for affiliates?
Hello, I would like to make a bunch of duplicate pages of my site's Home Page, that way affiliates of mine can have a page of their own with links specialized to themselves littered throughout the page. What's the best practice going about this without jeopardizing domain authority from tons of duplicate content signals firing off?

Looking for a way to crawl and test validity of affiliate links at scale. Ideas?
Hey all, I'm on the hunt for a service that will crawl our affiliate links and let us know when they return an error. I need to know that the last URL in the chain is returning a 200 over thousands of pages and links on a continual basis. The hitch is that most crawlers like Screaming Frog will return all of our links as working because it's only testing the first step, and this really requires a cloud solution anyway. Anyone happen to know of something? Edit for clarity's sake: I need something to check entire redirect chains in bulk that isn't a Wordpress plugin, isn't a website where you plug in a URL and it cuts you off after the first 100 results, and has the ability to crawl the site and provide reporting on a continual basis. Any Ideas for SEO opportunities at an electronics convention (CES)?
Hello All, I'm currently helping someone that sells a unique 35mm slide scanner with his digital presence. For a quick explanation, it scans much faster than it's competition and targets photography/scanning businesses. The owner will have part of a booth at CES (large electronics convention) to display the product, and will also have time to network with others within this industry and many others. At last years convention, there was a good in-person response and a few articles written about the product, but that is about it. I would like to send him to the show with a more digital mindset, so I am wondering if anyone has any ideas for link-bait, promotions, or really anything that will help the website rank higher/get more traffic. We have tons of content ideas and other ideas that are "online" to drive traffic, but when it comes to a in-person event I am drawing a big old blank (but I feel there must be some opportunities that I am missing). If you have any ideas and would like to share, it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks! Eric

Tricky Situation. Need the communities help on this. Need Creative ideas. HELP! !!!!
Hello Moz Community . I currently work with an e-commerce company who is the health and beauty sector. The company is about 7 years old and been online for only 2 years. Income comes from 90% from wholesales/retail stores ( owned by franchisees ) . The entire worldwide chains generate about 300 to 400 sales per day with an average sale price of $125 per sale. The problem i have had for the last year is the boosting online sales. ( we are a very unknown brand ). I have missed about 40% of my target goals and its becoming frustrating. There is my current dilemma and i need some creative ideas. The wholesales have a hold on the current market and sale prices of the products. We need to make sure we ok the prices with all the wholesale franchisees before doing anything. We cannot do promotion upfront on the website because the wholesales work with a discount tactic to sell products in the store. Although it is unorthodox , it works for them. My Dilemma is we have a potential 300 to 400 customers per day i can convert to online customers, but i cannot market to them in the store what so ever. I cannot ask the wholesale franchisees to get their email address because they will screen from the mountain tops that we are steeling customers from them . My question to you guys is , what creative way can i grab customers attentions and of course Email - Addresses to potentially switch them over to online customers. Just a reminder i cannot Do anything in the stores, but however i can do anything i want with the product. And yes we have our website address on the boxes and products and we even have a life time guarantee on products when they sign up online, But we convert customers at a measly 3.5% with that gimmick . I had thought about putting a little tag on the products or a little booklet inside the packaged boxes and basically invite the customers to order a free sample set of our products. I wanted to create a landing page and then have them input their information. Then i thought about magnifying the procedure by stating " invite your friends to receive Free samples of our products. " and having them input their friend and family email addresses. I do feel its a solid idea i have but i wanted help by asking some of the communities creative mind. If you have any questions about anything please feel free to ask and thank you in advance for all your help. Best Wishes, Hampig M.

Thoughts on how to make this page better
I wrote a post that's doing really well in search and want to take it up a notch. It's about ipad cases for kids. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I can step the page up a bit. Maybe add sub headings for the various iPads? Something else? When I wrote this post the new batch of ipad's weren't out so I'm thinking I should add subheadings for the various ipads. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Trying to find a good B2B Affiliate Marketing Software solution
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good B2B Affiliate marketing service for advertisers. I have a new software tool coming out shortly which I want to sell online and part of my requirements to do this is to set up an affiliate program for it. It has been 5 years for me since I last looked or used any affiliate tools so kind of feel I'm having to start all over again. As to reach of the affiliate solution it really needs to be on a global scale, failing that US and UK networks Thanks for any assistance Re David
