2 months ago i set up my Google+ account so i could get a thumb nail pic like this:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/working-example-thumb-pic.jpgBut instead i get a pictureless snippet like this:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/no-google-plus-image-snippet.jpgI feel ive waited long enopugh for it to be working by now & today i went back to the drawing board to see why does Kate Mallender have a pic & I dont. But having looked at my set up:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/authorship-tested-but-no-imagecopy-2.jpg
I cant see any difference. I admit Ive ran out of ideas, But if any SEO mozzer can point me in the right direction I'd be eternally gratefull
Grazie Tanto,

Hi Mat & Thank you for taking timne out to llok at my problem
When you say -"Try adding a link to your Google + page in the 'author bio' section of one of your articles"
Do you mean linking form the footer of davidclick.com to Google+ and linking back out from Google+ to my home davidclick.com page is not enough? Do i have to create a "Author bio" page in my website davidclick.com
Thanks,
David

If you have already ruled out that you set up your authorship correctly, then it is just a waiting game.
It took me almost 3 weeks before I saw it show up in the SERPs.
Test your url on this testing tool from Google to be sure you set it up right:
-
I submitted mine a week ago, and it also didn't appear at first.
I double checked using this: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets and it started working quickly thereafter. Don't know if it was actually the problem with worth testing out to see if you have done everything correctly!
-
I had some trouble setting mine up and it ended up being my links were set to private instead of public.
Make sure all your G+ is public than list all the steps you have made I have successfully setup about 5 authorships now all work

Hi Nightwing!
I had the exact same problem a couple of weeks ago. But I seem to have resolved the issue now!
Try adding a link to your Google + page in the 'author bio' section of one of your articles. As well as a link to that article in the 'contributor to' section of your G+ page. Which I can already see that you've done the latter.
It can take a couple of days to show up but it worked a treat for me!
Best of luck

Google crawl drop
the crawl request of my company site: https://www.dhgate.com/ has dropped nearly over 95%, from daily 6463599 requests to 476493 requests at 12:00am on 9th, Oct (GMT+8). This dramatic dropping trend not only showed in our GSC crawl stats report but also our company's own log report. We have no idea what’s going on. We want to know whether there is an update of google about crawlling, or is this the issue of our own site? If something is wrong with our site, in what aspects would you recommend us to check, analyze and accordingly optimize?

Why would Google not index all submitted pages?
On Google Search console we see that many of our submitted pages weren't indexed. What could be the reasons? | Web pages |

My website backlinks decreased month over month for 3 campaigns what is the reason?
My link metrics have decreased for several campaigns, loss of links range from 500-1500. Why is that ? Is there a new update or something that would cause this issue? I find it weird that three separate campaigns would decrease in external links when we have not done anything to remove links on our end.

Google is not respecting the meta title
We're experiencing a peculiar situation with Google not respecting our meta <title>.</p> <p>As you can see in the first image (search result), the title <a href="http://open.iebschool.com/profesores/startups/">for the page</a> is a part of the content. This is relatevely normal for the description, but we never heard of Google doing this before.</p> <p>In the code, the <title> and meta description are correctly implemented.</p> <blockquote style="background-color: #f7f7f7; padding-top: 5px; margin-left: 0px; padding-left: 2px; padding-bottom: 5px; white-space: nowrap; overflow-y: auto; font-family: monospace; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"> <p><meta name="description" content="Profesores, tutores, autores y docentes 2.0 de Open IEBS. Conoce su Biografía, experiencia, reputación, conexiones sociales y las valoraciones de alumnos."/><br /><title>Conoce los profesores, tutores, autores y docentes de Open IEBS.</title> In a further research, we discovered that the title which is using is an in anwith the following code (cleaned and simplified for the question): <hgroup> Pilar Soro

</hgroup> Note: we're correcting the code since this is quite messy, but it's the one we have now The point is that google has considered that this particular is more important than the title itself. This would make sense if we were looking for that name, but the search was simply "site:domain.com". Two things for which this is even more strange are the following: while all the /profesor/%category%/ has the same code, this only happens in some search results and not in all of them; why is it appearing in some pages, but respecting my title in others? the previous code is not the only one in the page, there are about 10 others and some are placed before and some are placed after; so, why this one and not the first or the last? What is more strange is why this article in particular and not any other of the 10 on the page since some of them are placed before and some of them are placed after. Provided this situation, we would like to know: is this a common situation? Is it happening to more people? why is it happening? Is it somehow related to , <hgroup>and ? why that piece of code and not any other article? and why is it only happening in some pages? more important, can it be corrected or can we take advantage of it somehow? Thank you in advance. Any light you can shed on this will be well received! AJ2CUSe.png?1?8232 </hgroup>0 -
Google Disavow Tool
Some background: My rankings have been wildly fluctuating for the past few months for no apparent reason. When I inquired about this, many people said that even though I haven't received any penalty notice, I was probably affected by penguin. (http://moz.com/community/q/ranking-fluctuations) I recently did a link detox by LinkRemovalTools and it gave me a list of all my links, 2% were toxic and 51% were suspiscious. Should I simply disavow the 2%? There are many sites where is no contact info.

How to know which pages are indexed by Google?
So apparently we have some sites that are just duplicates of our original main site but aiming at different markets/cities. They have completely different urls but are the same content as our main site with different market/city changed. How do I know for sure which ones are indexed. I enter the url into Google and its not there. Even if I put in " around " it. Is there another way to query google for my site? Is there a website that will tell you which ones are indexed? This is probably a dumb question.

Will google let me do this
Hi i am working on my site at the moment www.in2town.co.uk and i am adding new sections and was thinking about buying domain names that best describe that section and which people would remember. so for example i am looking at adding a tenerife magazine to my site and would like to know if it would be wise to buy a domain name for example tenerife magazine and then have it directed to the section of my site. would this benefit my site in any way and would google allow this. instead of having in2town.co.uk and then tenerife magazine after it, sorry cannot find the slash as i am on a spanish keyborad at the moment, i would like to have something like tenerifemagazine.co..uk etc If anyone can give me advice on this then that would be great. also can anyone let me know if this is a wise idea or not, to have sub domain names on my main site. i would like to know if i had tenerifemagazine under the in2town domain name would it slow the site down or should i consider building a brand new site just for that and then making people aware that it comes under the in2town umbrella many thanks
