Since the new timeline roll out it is very difficult to keep people engaged. From my point of view Facebook took the traffic away from businesses so they could turn around and charge them to promote the information. Having tested this over several facebook pages I have found that it is best to use the promote feature (located at the bottom right of any facebook post on your business page). It sucks that Facebook took away the reach but they have replaced it with a fairly inexpensive way of reaching lots of people. I have a Facebook page for freelancing professionals that gets a lot of engagement. The page has 11k fans and most of my posts are actually seen by about 11k people (although it is because some of my fans are sharing the page). Last week I pushed a post on the site and then went and promoted it for a budget of $50. The return for me was that 72k people saw the post, 178 liked, multiple comments, and an additional 200 fans were gained. I promoted to fans and friends of fans. I don't like that back in the spring Facebook took 2/3 of my facebook traffic away from all sites but replacing it with "promote" was a pretty smart move and gives me a way to get my content out in from of a bunch of people. Why can't anyone check in on my Facebook Page?

Facebook Share from personal wall to fan page
Is it possible to share a post from someone's personal FB wall to a company fan page if they have the permissions set to allow this? I often get a message that a share was denied and I'm not sure if shares from personal to business fan pages are always denied or if this is controlled by the person's privacy settings.

Has there been any statements provided by Google on how they view the attempt to increase Facebook Likes through contests. Best Way to Install Facebook Comments in Wordpress.

SEO with facebook and twitter
Hi all, It's become more apparent to us all going forward after the panda update that social signals are becoming more and more important in regards to SERPS. Our website is www.capitalalist.com and is gaining a decent amount of traffic from Twitter. www.capitalalist.com/twitter and we have managed to work out what works for us on twitter and what doesnt allowing us to interact with our followers more and more. The problem is facebook. Direct marketing doesn't work here. Our page is www.facebook.com/capitalalist but we are struggling to get any traffic or interaction with our friends.
