Titles in google serps incorrect
-
If you do the following query in google:
site:orlandovisiting.com legend sparrow
You'll see in the results the title appears as:
legend-captain-jack-sparrow-1149.html
Where the title tag in the source is:
<title>The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow Opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studiostitle>
Eventually it normally rights itself, but does anyone else get this with their sites?
Thanks.

Hi Ian,
Google uses many singles to display title in SERP like backlinks pointing that pages, data from directory sites, social media signals etc. They try to increase the CTR of your website so that they display different titles.

Ok so in summary. It's not a hard and fast number of characters, but looks like its pixel widths. Also google can ignore the title tag if it has deemed the title tag non-descriptive?
So two title tags:
<title>The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow Opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios</title>
appears as:
legend-captain-jack-sparrow-1149.html - Orlando Visiting
<title>Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow | Walt Disney World News</title>
appears as
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow ...
Is it the pipe in the title affecting this because I wouldn't say it the title tag physical width or number of characters?

Top Landing Page has disappeared from Google Search Console but still shows at the top of Google
Hi, One of the top landing pages in my website has disappeared from GSC Search Analytics results. But I do get a good traffic from that page until now. What might be the reason for GSC to stop showing it on the results?

Content incorrectly being duplicated on microsite
So bear with me here as this is probably a technical issue and i am not that technical. We have a microsite for one of our partner organisations and recently we have detected that content from our main site appearing in the URLs for the microsite - both in search results and then when you click through to the SERP. However, this content does not exist on the actual website at all. Anyone have a possible explanation for this? I have tried searching the web but nothing. I assume there is something in the set up of the microsite that is associating it with the content on the main site.

Using Google Adwords is good?
I heard about that if you using adwords, google drops your ranking a little bit. Because of you already pay money for results. I think that is reasonable.

Ranking on google.com.au but not google.com
Hi there, we (www.refundfx.com.au) rank on google.com.au for some keywords that we target, but we do not rank at all on google.com, is that because we only use a .com.au domain and not a .com domain? We are an Australian company but our customers come from all over the world so we don't want to miss out on the google.com searches. Any help in this regard is appreciated. Thanks.

How a google bot sees your site
So I have stumbled across various websites like this: http://www.smart-it-consulting.com/internet/google/googlebot-spoofer/ The concept here is to be able to view your site as a googlebot sees it. However, the results are a little puzzling. Google is reading the text on my page but not the title tags according to the results. Are websites like this accurate OR does Google not read title tags and H1 tags anymore? Also on a slighly related note. I noticed the results show the navigation bar is being read first by google, is this bad and should the navigation bar be optimized for keywords as well? If it did, it would read a bit funny and the "humans" would be confused.
