I am trying to have my picture on the first page just like SEOmoz when someone search just the name, I know have something to do with google plus, but I am so new doing that no luck or probably I am doing wrong, I have been looking in the internet but I haven't found anything. Is there anyone who can write a tutorial and post here. Maybe is already done and I don't know where. Please see the picture attached so you understand better what I want to do
Again I want appear just like this but with my company
-
Yes, you can try but there is no surety that it will start showing a snippet of your website at the right side panel.

I think my problem to emblem this Graph are the followers. I don't have enough follower. Which makes me ask how much would be a meaningful number of followers?
- Your Google+ page must be authorized by your commercial entity, organization, brand, or product.
- Your Google+ page’s profile must contain a link to your organization’s website.
- Your organization’s website must connect to your Google+ page, by adding the Google+ badge or by adding a snippet of code.
- Your Google+ page must already have a meaningful number of followers.
Thanks

In other words, not everyone can do it.? Even if we follow the instructions like Corey Northcutt suggest in http://support.google.com/plus/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=page_verification&rd=1
And accepting the recommendation from acs111
I am going to convince everything and I will see if I get lucky.
Thanks Deb Dulay!

_This is known as Knowledge Graph and it is still in its infancy. I do not think that it is that easy for a company to make the Knowledge Graph working for a brand. We need to wait few days more before we get more details about this. _

Make sure you have a 'dofollow' link on your front page back to your Google Plus page.
Something like this : [Google+](https://plus.google.com/your id)
If you use Google adwords try adding it as an extension to your ad as this seemed to speed up the process for us.
We recently lost our G+ page so were essentially have the same problem as you.

This is search feature is a relatively new development, and something that I wouldn't even be sure will stay, but here's what I've seen get people listed.
The first step is definitely to create a brand page on G+ (that's definitely where it's pulling SEOmoz's listing data).
The second step, would appear to be to have a verified G+ listing. I can't find a single example of this where the profile isn't verified. Here you go: http://support.google.com/plus/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=page_verification&rd=1
The third step (I'm assuming), would be to have a company name that isn't at all ambiguous, and it won't interfere with the query. For example, Amazon has a verified G+ page, but doesn't show up as in your screenshot when searching for "amazon". They definitely don't want a result that doesn't get people exactly what they want, or that chips into AdWords revenue.
Good luck!

Google Acquisition & Audience Segmentation
Hi. I'm trying to figure out a solution to two questions one of my current clients has asked me in regards to Google Analytics tagging, and I'm unsure how to respond. Can anyone help? See below the questions, 1. In Google Acquisition > Overview, their paid media is reporting as "Other". They do not run any Google paid ads. They only run Facebook paid ads. Is there a way to update the source so that it says "Paid" versus "Other" within the default channel? The current solution was advised to create a channel group that the client has to then tick on overtime they want to see this data with the correct labeling. They would prefer to see it in the default. Is it just a matter of going into the *default channel, choosing the "Paid" option, and then specifying the source/medium that contains Facebook, CPC, or referral to be categorized under this channel? Or is it something else? *Aware that changes to the Default Channel are permanent changes and will change how new traffic is classified. 2. Audience segmentation > The client wants to be able to define it's audience by shopping intent and informational intent. Is there a clear way to do this, for example, by keywords used, e.g. buy, product name, entry (shopping intent), versus e.g. non-purchase intent, entry to the blog, length of time on site (info intent). Would be happy to have a conversation about the last question, since I'm conscious that there are probably multiple ways to define this - thanks. To the group, thank you for readying my questions and helping me with these solutions - your time is appreciated and valued. Sincerely, Amanda

Help with robots.txt on Magento
Hi everybody, I need your help in order to fix some problems with HTML errors and Crawling errors generated by Magento on my client's website www.casabiancheria.it I have some problems with duplicate meta informations due to the fact that there are a lot of links such as /stampe-romagnole/tovaglie-con-tovaglioli**/colore/**beige,marrone,giallo,lilla/show/all.html /stampe-romagnole/tovaglie-con-tovaglioli**/colore/**beige,marrone,lilla/show/all.html that are generated by the filter /colore/ and so they have duplicate content and meta information on them. I activated the canonicals on Magento but this hasn't fixed the problem yet. On the sitemap there are only 1 link for each product, so it seems that the canonicals are working, but bot Google Webmaster Tools and SEO Moz are giving me errors on duplicate content and meta informations. I would like to solve these problems by excluding from robots.txt all the urls that contain the filter parameters, such as /colore/, /price/, /dimensions/, etc. (take a look to the attachment). I tried different solutions in order to exclude these links from robots, but I wasn't able to succeed. Below you can find my current robots.txt... can someone help me in order to write the correct form of this file and finally exclude all these urls generated by filters on Magento? Finally, is it worth it to exclude also the images from Magento? (take a look to the final lines of the robots below). Thank you very much for your help! Alberto User-agent: *

Does Google recognise locality
We have been undertaking some website work recently and have identified that within our own geographical location of Hull, the www.styletech.co.uk website is first on page one. However, when moving approximately 30 miles away we are on Googles fourth page. We are in an independent network area e.g. Kingston Communications rather than BT, would this have an impact on how Google responds?

Recovering from a Hack: How long until Google reindexes changes?
In a previous post I made, I was able to determine that one of my sites; http://pokeronamac.com/ was hacked and was feeding spam perscription drug content to search engines, then redirecting to another site when clicked on Google. I then contacted my web host, and, after they did a scan of our files, they determined that something within the wp-includes directory was compromised and malicious. They removed the file, though they weren't able to determine the source of the attack, or how they god in (should we be scared?). Anyway, its been several days now ~5 and if I do a site search the spam pages still show up, but the redirect is no longer working. At this point, I am at a standstill, because i'm loosing traffic on my site by about 90%, and google hasn't sent us any warnings of malaware or the like. I know I was recommended against this before, but should I attempt to submit a reconsideration request, or should I just wait it out? Thanks for your help, Zach

HELP! 75% Drop in Traffic with no Explaination
Hello Everyone, After looking at one of my websites, http://pokeronamac.com/ I noticed that there is a significant drop in all traffic to my site. I cannot figure out what the exact source is, as we received no warnings in WMT, and as far as I know there are no major updates released in the last week or so by Google. I took a look at the content section of GA and I saw that virtually all of my content was seeing a decrease in traffic, meaning that it isn't specific to a few pages, which leads me to believe that it is an algorithmic penalty. My confusion was that there was no changes made to the website in the past few months, although, on September 10th (5 days after traffic dropped) I updated the meta descriptions and titles site wide. I don't believe that the penalty is from Panda or Penguin because we actually experienced a positive influx in traffic during the week of April 25th. I'd appreciate any insights into helping me recover from this so I can get the visits again that I had before. If any other metrics are required, i'd gladly provide them. Thanks Zach Russell 8NBwn.png

Google Penalisation - Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,
Search Behavior | | ChrisHolgate
We’ve recently received a Google notification of unnatural linking along with a confirmation that we're being penalised. There were a few other sites that we owned that perhaps had too many links pointing to our main domain so we trimmed them down and submitted a reconsideration request and got the following back: "Dear site owner or webmaster of http://www.refreshcartridges.co.uk/,
We received a request from a site owner to reconsider http://www.refreshcartridges.co.uk/ for compliance with Google's Webmaster Guidelines.
We've reviewed your site and we still see links to your site that violate our quality guidelines.
Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site that could be intended to manipulate PageRank. Examples of unnatural linking could include buying links to pass PageRank or participating in link schemes.
We encourage you to make changes to comply with our quality guidelines. Once you've made these changes, please submit your site for reconsideration in Google's search results.
If you find unnatural links to your site that you are unable to control or remove, please provide the details in your reconsideration request.
If you have additional questions about how to resolve this issue, please see our Webmaster Help Forum for support.
Sincerely,
Google Search Quality Team" I want to stress that we have never in the past and do not currently buy any backlinks. The problem that we face now is that our site has been online for best part of a decade, there are thousands of people linking to us and I have absolutely no idea where to start. We don’t use an SEO Company but in the past few months have been using SEOmoz to improve our on-page optimisation. I know it’s a massive ask but if could a member of the SEOmoz community or a staff member quickly take a gander and let us know if anything in particular sticks out like a sore thumb it would mean a great deal to me. Of course, if needed we’ll employ the services of an SEO company but I’m hoping one of you guys will see something immediately obvious that could really help us out! Thanks in advance. Kind regards Chris0 -
Google slow to index new domains and subs?
Anyone finding Google slow to index new websites at the moment? Made a new site on Thursday and posted a number off high quality, relevant, backlinks to it the same day and now on Monday it is still not indexed. Have see the same with a couple of sub domains I have created off a website with a moz score of 40. Normally can get new sites indexed within hours but this seems super slow.
