I am planning to host video on youtube and vimeo. as both will have same videos. which service provider i should use for my own sitemap...

I agree with Matthew,
I would make to separate sitemaps and submit them both.
Don't forget to type up the scripts in the video descriptions!

Hi Vinku,
Firstly, I would create and submit a video sitemap for your website to Google. This will help them to index the videos on the website and will throw you up the search rankings. You can either submit a separate video sitemap or add some extra code onto your exisiting one for this.
I would advise you to make sure that you are embedding either your vimeo or YouTube videos direct to the website so that you don't get duplicate videos as these will just compete with each other and be detrimental to your SEO efforts.
Hope this helps.
Matt.

Video on Site Before Youtube?
We are going to create a few 1 - 2 minute instructional videos. I will be creating a blog that will include the video for our main website. I want to say I read or saw (Whiteboard Friday) that Rand Fishkin mentioned to place the video on your site first for about a month (or weeks). Then, you can publish it on Youtube etc. It sounds like a good plan. Have Google index your blog with the video and receive organic traffic. Then place it on Youtube. Is that correct? Is that the best practice? Like i said, I think it was Rand that discuss this. Would love to get feedback. Thanks.

Video Marketing - Who will host them
Hey guys, I'd like to get going with video marketing and our product best matched with video. I have these things that I am not sure on what direction to take... 1. We have youtube, vimeo and our website. *What goes to what? Or vimeo embedded in website and youtube as is? *A video transcription should be done in the website to help search engines right? *Isnt it duplicate if its in youtube and another one embedded in the site from vimeo? Your thoughts and rationale will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Jac

Internal Linking | Site Architecture & Impact of PANDA
Recently, an SEO told me about a problem with my site architecture. Before I take any action, I would like some advice on this. May be this is basic for may people who read this. My e-commerce site has over 400 pages - all of which are regularly updated. I sell 4 products and all 400 pages have an image (which says "subscribe now") clicking on which gets the user to the subscription/payment page. Many pages have 3 images on the same page (mostly because these pages are huge with more than 2000 words on each page and they require a lot of scrolling down, so we placed the "subscribe now" button at the top, middle and end of page). Now effectively this means that there are over 1000+ images pointing to the subscription/ payment page. (1) I have been told that I should either remove these or put a "nofollow" on these images/subscribe now buttons. Should I do either? Similarly, I have a legal disclaimer at the end of each page with a link to a detailed disclaimer page (this appears once under each page) followed by a standard boilerplate language (which I think will be about 15% of the total page content). (2) Should I use image for the language instead? Does it count as duplicity of content? Note: All redirects and pages are on the same/ my own domain.

Where to host our videos
We're in process of moving HookahLounge.net to Hookah.org. We're upgrading all the software packages, adding features, etc. One of the things we're going to do is gradually add a lot of video reviews to our site (400+). All the videos are going to be hookah/shisha related of course. Should we host the videos on YouTube and put them on related pages in our website? (We have a hookah wiki section with a different page for every shisha flavors, hookah, etc). or Should we host it on another platform or our own server? SEO. I don't know how where we host the videos affects the ranking of those Wiki pages that the videos would be posted. View count. I think YouTube has a large number of viewers which would mean a lot more people will see our videos. That being said will that be mainly good for brand building? Or will I actually be able to put links on those pages and drive traffic to our site too? Thanks

Google Maps Reviews Disappearing - So Where is the best place to host them now?
I think a lot of people are having this problem. Â You spend years receiving great reviews on Google Places only to have the wiped out for no reason. That being the case what 3rd party sites do you all suggest that client reviews be hosted besides your website? Thoughts?

Best practice using Video to increase website pagerank?
Goal: Leverage videos to get links and traffic back to website not video hosting platform site (e.g. YouTube) to generate website leads **Issue:Â ** If we place a video on a website using video YouTube embed code and video sitemap for the crawlers to index our video DOES show up in search results BUT that link goes back to YouTube. Great for increasing views on YouTube but not increasing link popularity for client website. Question:Â What are recommendations / best practice for SEO (such as using another player like Viddler, etc.) that will get video results from search engines back to the website? We want to leverage videos to build links and generate leads to client site.

Placing video testimonials on website vs. YouTube
We have produced a number of video guest testimonials. Any SEO considerations or other hosting it on our website (what software to use?) vs. YouTube (and just embedding it on the webpage)? Are there certain situation or circumstances when YouTube is not the best choice for placing video on a website? Thanks.

Video Dictionary Site
Hi , Recently launched a video dictionary site - http://www.megavocab.com With whatever I could learn of SEO , I included the transcript for the video in the page - http://www.megavocab.com/dictionary-definition-maladroit.html But this makes the page look shabby (when compared to page like - http://www.megavocab.com/dictionary-definition-zealot.html) and the transcript per say does not help much to user ... I am in a delimma whether to include the transcript or not ... please guide...
