How Social Shares on One Page Affects Sitewide Authority

If you have a great resource on your site that earns a lot of social shares, does that improve the authority of your entire site or just that single page in the eyes of Google?

In my experience - a bit of the former and lots of the latter. i.e. the specific page generates strong authority signals and as a result the parent domain gets credit for some of that extra authority as well. How much? No idea how to measure and I suspect the amount will be different under different circumstances. (This assumes the page is actually on the primary domain and not a subdomain).
I think of it like links: a strong incoming link to an internal page is especially good for that page, but also contributes to the overall site's ranking signals as well.
I'd be very interested to hear what others think on this topic too!

I don't think that social shares are worth very much.
However, if the content of those shares on the SM site includes your domain name or brand AND can be crawled by Google then there might be a tiny bit of value.

If your going to target multiple countries but who have same language (such as US & UK) which of the main social media accounts should you set up a country specific version for ? I know some like Google+ allow for sub-pages/listings for different localities/outlets etc so I presume you only need the one G+ company page (but pls confirm if you agree or not ?). Social Media Tracking
We currently use Sharing from JetPack to offer people the ability to share our blogs on Twitter, Facebook, and so on. Unfortunately the Site Stats provided are not very thorough and not able to be tracked in Google Analytics. Does anyone have a suggestion on which program is best to use for social media tracking? We would prefer to use one program to gather and show all of the statistics.

Images on Social Media - Can they be Optimized?
My company has been sharing images on its Facebook and twitter outlets which are getting a lot of shares. It seems to be the only thing really working for us. Is there a way to optimize this or use it to our advantage for our website? Or is this just something that will help me gain some edge rank in Facebook?

Google+ Business page just not showing :-(
Good morning from Pollen level moderate wetherby UK pass me another Benadryl Plus wetherby UK Having jumped into the world of Google plus my objective was to create a business page that would appear when the Google+ serp is clicked on. Unfortunately my labour & toil has not paid off 😞 Having created a Google+ business page & set it to default ( I think ) it still points to the vanilla Google+ page. So I am my coworker have a differing opinion on social networking sites.
One of us says to join one or two, Linkedin being one of them and just work those. The other says to build profiles on multiple pages - everything from Merchant Circle to fastpitch , essentially any and all, and not worry about activity level, just get the link. What are your thoughts? Which approve will result in more effective optimization for clients?
