Registration tracking with Google Analytics

Hi everyone,
I want to track user registrations with Google Analytics for a customer's website. The thing is after registration visitors are not directed to a specific page, so I can't set it as a goal. I thought of tracking submit button with event tracking, but that data would not be true as a visitor may click it more than once, and there's the login with facebook and twitter thing.
Before convincig customer to create a registration confirmation page, I want to make sure there's no other way as they don't want to make any changes to the current website.
Any ideas?

What I'm saying is why not write your code to fire the virtual page view only when a successful registration takes place, or when someone registers via Facebook and Twitter?
That should be something you can capture and then fire only once someone registers, no?

If you are suggesting that I track submit button of the registration form with a virtual pageview and track that page as a goal, then I can do the same thing with events. The problem with that method:
a) Visitor may not have filled all the required spaces and still clicks the submit button
b) Signing up with twitter and facebook
If you are saying something else, then please explain further. Also, would creating a blank confirmation page with GA code and redirecting it to the homepage with 301 so tracking that page means tracking registrations work? If not would delaying the redirection work?

I would recommend trying to create a virtual page view that will be fired whenever someone registers on the site - this way, you don't need to create a success/confirmation page for the form, just have the site fire off a virtual page view, and track this as a goal.

Google Analytics & Google Sheets
Hi guys, I'm looking to use google analytics google sheets extension to pull data into a google sheet with metrics from other tools e.g. semrush, moz, etc. From my understanding with google analytics google sheet extension its designed to run reports and doesn't really allow you to add other metrics. Google Analytics Campaign Tracking overriding each other
Howdy, fellow mozzers. So, here is the situation: Let's say someone comes to the website through Organic Google Search, and first thing they see is the banner on the website, on a click of which it takes you to a promotional landing page. I have this banner being tracked with GA campaigns. Now, here are my questions: If that user makes a purchase, which source / medium it will be assigned to? Organic/google or website/banner? (as far as i understand it assigns it to website/banner) If that's the case, is there way to find out afterwords where the website/banner sessions came initially from? If there is no such way, how shall i setup the tracking to be able to see wherre the initial visit to the website came from, yet also track how many people clicked on the banner and made a purchase? Google Analytics Customer filters & the correct syntax
Good afternoon from torential rain and thunder Wetherby UK 😞 Ive been delving into the world of custom filters in Google analytics and Ive hit a problem. Apart from Googles advice being out of date (wont get into that one) I wanted to set up clone a profile of an existing site and set up a filter that would exclde USA traffic. But a country can be called many things e.g. United Sates USA America so how do you know what is the correct name to put in the filter pattern box? Here is a screen shot of my efforts :http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/filter-toexclude-usatrafficcopy.jpg (I chaned it to United States) So my question is where is there a list of the correct syntax for the filter pattern box? Google Analytics Organic Keyword (Not Provided) Alternative Hacks?
I'm sure everyone is sick of the (Not Provided) keywords because I know I am, and Google reckons that you should only see 10% or less (I'm currently around 13% and growing). I am seeking alternatives or hacks that will help display the keywords? If you have a hack to actually display the keywords, please share it your ideas and thoughts? I recently implemented a hack that will show the landing page of the keywords which is better than nothing. But as an eCommerce site, I have about 10% of my transactions which not provided, knowing the keywords would really help. Would love to hear your thoughts?

Nofollow page is being reported as a landing page for organic search in Google Analytics
One of my client's websites includes a series of pages for an enrollment process. All of these pages are blocked by robots.txt. In Google Analytics these pages are showing data as landing pages for organic search traffic, and have been for quite some time. There was recently a surge of organic search traffic landing on one of these pages, coming from multiple search engines. The pages appear to be blocked and I'm not finding any of them in the search results for the keywords that are being reported in GA or by searching for the url. Does anyone have any insights into why this might be happening?
