How do I find unique visitors for the homepage?

I am normally pretty good with Analytics but I can not figure out how to find out how many unique visitors there were on the homepage. When I do content drilldown all I can do is pageviews. Any suggestions?

I went through the steps you did and it did show new visitors but as a total. Here is what I am trying to do. We had statcounter on our site years ago, and I want to compare it to analytics data. Statcounter was only on the homepage so the data isn't good to start with but it only shows unique visitors. So I don't what to do.

Might be a cleaner way to do this, but this method is pretty quick:
On the Audience Tab on the left hand nav, click behaviour, then New vs Returning.
From here I'm guessing you will want to segment unique visitors from all visitors, so click new visitors. Once you have that, simply click "secondary dimension, traffic sources and then landing page.
That should bring up all the new (unique) visitors for your pages, where the homepage is likely to be near the top.
That's just off the top of my head as I'm on the move right now and there might be a cleaner way, but that will get you what you need.

Someone mentioned us on facebook and brought 10k clicks to homepage.. how do I find the content?
So this morning our website started to go crazy with hits all coming from Facebook, and I am trying to figure out how I can see who was talking about us? All the traffic landed on one page specifically. When I look in analytics it just shows social, and then I can drill down to see they are coming from facebook, but that's it.

Is there any way to find out how many people blocked our site in Google?

I am new to SEO. Would appreciate anyone share with me how can i further optimize my website to attract more visitors based on this scenario?
Hi all, Thanks and really appreciate for your time helping me out here, and i am very new to SEO. Just a brief introduction, our team have been developing a gaming review website (specifically targeting MMO game, facebook game, and browser-based game) since September 2011, and the website show significant improvement for the 1st month, and we got daily UV spiking up to 2k in November. The issue here is that the visitors start to become very stagnant, and even dropping now. Even though we try hard to publish more game reviews and there is NO IMPROVEMENT AT ALL for past 2 months in terms of number of visitors, and we have no idea how should we further proceed to attract more visitors...We have about 7 k site pages (however not all are with content). For the past 2 months it seems like there is nothing going on that proportionate to the effort we put in. Pretty discouraging, so we decided to sign up SEOMOZ to get SEO help from the community here. Some general questions we have: 1. Is it because of the the quality of the content we write ? (not enough keyword density, review too short, etc). 2. Is it because of the website designed not user friendly and not optimized? 3. Is it because of the general gaming trend, or other competitors? 4. Are we penalized by google by any chance? Are we spamming or anything wrong that deter our improvement? 5. Our main revenue source is on advertising, and currently we are using adsense. Would the ads placement affect anything? 6. Based on your knowledge and expertise, any advice would you give us? For an optimized site, any available stats / guesstimates on what is avg % of traffic to homepage vs. second-level pages?
I'm interested in passing this info on to a client who experienced a period of time when an incorrect GA code was installed on their homepage. They were able to get Google stats on second level pages only. This is a site that gets 80 + % of visits from organic search engine referrals. They do minimal advertising. Thanks in advance.
