Waiting 3 days for Crawl Test to complete
-
Being new to seomoz Im not sure if I understand the crawl test completely. You setup a campaign, enter all your info, rogerbot goes out and crawls your site and gives you results as to what your doing right and what is wrong or could use looking into.
So once I get my results, I make edits to my site pages. In my case Im getting lots of duplicate content and duplicate titles. So I go back and make adjustments and then submit a crawl test to see the change results.
In other tools Ive used in past I was able to re run crawl immediately and fine tune results on the fly. seomoz crawl test is still pending after three days. is this normal? or is there another way to make changes and run reports to see results instantly?
If your working on many sites and making changes, having to wait 3 or more days to see how your changes were received seems like a long time.

Hey everyone! Sorry about the odd crawl test activity. If you don't mind shooting us an email at help@seomoz.org with your PRO email address and the name of the domain that is stuck we can push then through on the back end. I would grab more information here, but we can't since it is a public forum. :S
Look forward to your emails and sorry about the wait!

You could use a program that crawls your site for same purpose. Lots of free apps out there.

Thanks alsvik,
Im kind of surprised as well how long it takes. My site has maybe 50 pages, so 3-4 days seems like along time to wait to see if you cleared out all the title and duplicate content issues or any other errors. Pretty disappointing to have to wait that long. So if one slips through the cracks its make a correction and wait another week to test and see results. I just cant see how this is practical in today's fast paced seo evolving world.

Hi Anthony.
It surprised me as well that it takes 3-4 days to crawl my site. I have +10.000 pages so i guess its ok.
Seomoz is crawling at a very low speed
Actually Seomoz crawls your site every week if you set up a campaign. Mine does! Every friday or saturday i get a crawl-report.
About the timeframe, try using GWT for meta desc and title errors!? GWT is updated monthly on terms of pages with identical title/meta descriptions. And if you make changes you shouldnt expect to see them have impact on SERP within the first month or two ...

Single Page on my client's website is not crawling and indexing new changes. What could be the possible reason?
I made several changes on client's website on different pages, changed titles, add content on few pages, moved blog from subdomain to sub directory. Everything is crawled but there is one page on the website (not part of the blog) that isn't getting crawled in Google and picking up changes. The last crawl of the website is 2 days back whereas that page was last crawled on 30th sep. I just wanted to know the possible reasons and has anyone encountered this before?

Reducing number crawl-able links?
Hello, I just like to ask for best practice when it comes to reduce number of internal links on a site with a mega menu. Since the mega menu lists all categories and all their subcategories it creates a problem when all categories are linking to all categories directly.. Would the method below reduce the number of links and preventing the link juice flowing directly from category to category? [(link built with JavaScript and the html5 "data-" attribute) Thinking of using these links to categories in the menu not directly below the parent category.](#)

Why so many crawl errors?
Our site is showing it has a ton of crawl errors in the back end, mostly concerning duplicate content within our blog. The content is unique however. We know this for certain because it's done in house or put together by some of the freelance writers we work with. The site is for an RV dealership and we're using a template-based system from a well known company. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Crawl with cach problem
Hello, My Crawl results in Seomoz shows me that i have few thousands of 302 direct problem, bucause it was crawling links like http://www.sposae.com/abito-sposa-g2026-pr-347.html?action=buy_now and it would be redirected automatically to http://www.sposae.com/cookie_usage.php because of cookie not activated from the user. Now I'm wondering if this is an issue to be solved or just a minor thing without impact. Thanks

Full Crawl, now what?
Hi, Ok, I logged in this morning to see my full crawl of over 250 pages. I must admit I was expecting an email to inform me and to perhaps outline what my next steps should be. During the last 7 days I have fixed most of the pages that had errors and also added more keywords, just like what was suggested when I first signed up. So, is there a suggested plan of action I should now take to help increase the rankings, perhaps I'm missing this from the email or something? Thanks!

Why that many Crawl Diagnostics errors, false?
Hi, my fist question, trying to understand how seomoz pro works. I have about 680 crawl erros, but when I check the details, I found this: 1. many 403 errors ( I think from all links). > I have tested my web site (telcelsolcom.com) in other tools and all says OK 200 response. 2. many title and content duplicates, but the system is showing as duplicated pages with and without the www. > I have a 301 redirect from non www to with www and it is working ok. Do I have false errors? What am I doing wrong? thanks.

Crawling - Blue Notice - Canonical
Hi, I have 270x blue notices within crawl diagnostics in SEOMoz Pro labelled rel=canonical. My site has the rel=canonical tag set-up as I was advised to do so. See www.comparecurrency.co.uk Are these notices suggesting I have to remove the tag? Can somebody please explain this notice to me .. Thanks Olly

AB Testing - Organic Rank
Hello, Currently We are running an A/B test on a few pages, the footer and the header on our site. I was wondering what is the proper way to do an a/b test so that our google rankings won’t fall and that Google will only index one version at this time? Thanks
