Internal Link Title and Anchor Text Question
-
So, I am kind of a newbie with all of this stuff, so please bear with me!
If you have a chance to look into the domain it's www.noip.com
I have checked the internal followed and 301 links. It seems like it is pulling in all of our navigation a funky way. all of those link have no data for the title and the anchor text is Home, Contact Us, Forgot Password?, ETC. Is this correct? I have tried to look into the way other websites are doing it and it seems wrong. I tried to talk to my developer, but he is not so sure.
Do we simply need to make more copy on our site that has internal links within the copy with anchor text that is for keywords that I would like to be ranking for? Like Managed DNS? and then that page goes to the managed DNS page? Or what?
Sorry if i am not being totally clear. Any help and advice is 110% welcomed!!!

That OSE crawl could just be a fluke. Perhaps retry the crawl next month.
Regarding the 'parameters' in webmaster tools, did you tell Google to decide or did you choose ' Let Googlebot decide or did you choose "No: does not affect page content" option?
Are there links to these search query pages from other websites? If not, then you might just need to give it time to realize that you set your parameters to ignore those URL variables.
Another solution might be to add a noindex/nofollow to your search results page template.

attached is a screenshot. are those supposed to have title tags on the left?
also, on a totally different topic, we have an issue with a domain search box on our website. We have tried to exclude the parameters in webmaster tools, but the google bot still seems to be crawling the search domain box with 1000s of domains each crawl, eating up our crawl and leading to lots of weird stuff being indexed in google. Are we being spammed by a competitor? Is there a better way to eliminiate and stop this?

Are you talking about an www.opensiteexplorer.org report? Or a Google "site:" search?
My guess is that you'd need more exact-match anchor text from both external AND internal links.

You need to create URL's for each service you offer and then link to those services in the navigation using the keyword you want the page to rank for. You need to use discretion here so as not to over optimize but your example above "Manage DNS" as part of the navigation linking to a /managed-dns page would be perfect.
Hope this helps,

Page title contents
In my page title, I have my product name. Is it beneficial to also include another keyword like: Buy wedding dress online Australia: e..g. (page title) amelie wedding dress | buy wedding dress online Australia. Or is it better just using: Amelie wedding dress

Disavow Question
Hey, In webmaster tools i have 520 domains linking to my site and i disavowed some today, when i was done it said "you successfully uploaded a disavow links file with 75 URLs and 0 domains". First question, did i do this right? Second question if a site is linking to me on multiple pages on their site do i have to disavow each link or just the domain is enough. When i download the all links to my site it was around 5,000 from the 520 domains. I appreciate the help.

Spammy link for each keyword
Some people believe that having a link for each keyword and a page of content for each keyword (300+ words) can help ranking for those keywords. However, the old approach of having "restaurant New York", "restaurant Buffalo", "restaurant Newark" approach has become seen as a terrible SEO practice. I don't know whether this was because it's spammy or because people usually combined it with thin content that was 95% duplicate. Which brings us to; http://hungryhouse.co.uk/ Why does such a major company have the following on the site (see the footer); Aberdeen Takeaway Birmingham Takeaway Brighton Takeaway Bristol Takeaway Cambridge Takeaway Canterbury Takeaway Cardiff Takeaway Coventry Takeaway Edinburgh Takeaway Glasgow Takeaway Leeds Takeaway Leicester Takeaway Liverpool Takeaway London Takeaway Manchester Takeaway Newcastle Takeaway Nottingham Takeaway Sheffield Takeaway Southampton Takeaway York Takeaway Indian Takeaway Chinese Takeaway Thai Takeaway Italian Takeaway Cantonese Takeaway Pizza Delivery Sushi Takeaway Kebab Takeaway Fish and Chips Sandwiches Do they know something I don't? What is the best way to make use of internal anchor text links without appearing to be a 'spammy' webpage?
I've recently been spending some time going through all the content on our website, henstuff.com, adding internal anchor text links to product copy with the link following back to the product's generic catagory. I've been focusing on the search term 'hen party accessories', but have also been using 'hen do accessories' and 'hen night accessories'. I know that internal linking has value when it comes to SEO and rankings, but was keen to find roughly at what point usage of a certain search term for anchor links is seen as spam by the engines. Is there a certain formula to follow when it comes to internal anchor text links? You can see some examples at: http://www.henstuff.com/hen-night-accessories/hen-party-accessories/willy-bubbles http://www.henstuff.com/hen-night-accessories/hen-party-devil-horns/hen-night-pink-devil-horns Many thanks Oli

Too Many On-Page Links
I recently took on a website design client and ran his website through a battery of tests using Pro to take a look at the crawl errors. One that seems to stump me is the error "Too many On-Page links" concerning his blog. (http://franksdesigns.com/wp/blog) This is the first time I've seen this error and am rather confused. The report says there are 104 links on this page. However, I'm having trouble grasping this concept or finding the 104 links. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
