Is .PW domain is good for SEO?
-
I want to register .PW domain which has recently got live to register. I am in doubt should it is good for SEO or not.
-
Well, how many .ws sites or .pw sites are out there that you know of? For that matter, how many .net sites are well known?
But here's the kicker: what would Google gain by favoring .com over any other TLD? We're entering a bold new era in TLDs, where you can now created your own TLD extension. So if you want to create the .seo TLD you can do it (just gotta be able to pay the steep ICANN fees and have a way to manage it). So .com is going to have a lot more competition.
Again, .com is very popular with people. It's generally easier to remember a .com just because people naturally put .com at the end. nobody has ever presented a case that I know of where a site lost purely because they didn't have a .com
-
Oh, I see that it now stands for "professional web", not for the country of Palau. Poor Palausians lost their TLD to a bunch of investors.

"No engine cares if you have .com, .ws or .pw."
You sure? How often do you see .ws or .pw domains ranking in Google.com?
-
In terms of SEO, there is no difference between the various top level domains(TLD). The only exception to this are the various ccTLDs (like .co.uk or .fr) because they're localized.
No engine cares if you have .com, .ws or .pw. Now, people might have a harder time remembering a .pw vs a .com but that's just because of the popularity of .com. With all the extensions coming out now I can't see .com staying that way forever.
Like Chris said, don't buy an exact match domain just for SEO. There used to be some benefit to it but not anymore. I could make www.nothing.pw rank for any keyword you please with enough work.
-
I wouldn't buy just for any SEO value a direct match .pw domain might have 'cause it won't have much. If you're buying it for your main site, because it matches your company name, you're still better off going with a dot com or dot net. unless, maybe, you live there--which apparently only about 21K people do.

On-page SEO
This is a question for the organic SEO experts, once you added the main keyword that you want to rank for in the homepage title, meta title plus meta description, perhaps once or twice in the text on the homepage. How often do you then write it in the content marketing, say blog posts, we want to rank higher on Google for "SEO agencies Cardiff" however if you mention this in the blog posts too much say once a week, this could lead to over optimisation issues?

Tags - Good or bad for SEO
We are getting Moz errors for duplicate content because tag pages share the same blog posts. Is there any way to fix this? Are these errors bad for SEO, or can I simply disregard these and ignore them? We are also getting Moz errors for missing descriptions on tag pages. I am unsure how to fix these errors, as we do not actually have pages for these on our WordPress site where we are able to put in a description. I have heard that having tags can be good for SEO? (We don't mind having several links that show up when searching for us on google...) As far as the SEO goes, I am not sure what to do. Does anyone know the best strategy?

True or False? Having your phone number in the header of your nav bar is good for SEO?
I have been told by a a few different SEO and Marketing Agency friends that by putting your address and phone number in the top section of your navbar is great for SEO. Does this myth have any merit or is it just misguided? Tksac28

Snippet showing as domain name with apostrophe, instead of page title when searching for the domain name.
Hi, We have an issue with one of our websites, with the snippet dispaying differently in Google serps when searching for the domain or the website name rather than a search term. When searching for a search term, the page title shows as expected, but when searching for the site by the domain name either with or without the tld, it shows the snippet as the domain name with an apostrophe at the end. Domain is subli.co.uk Thanks in advance for any advice!

How Much Does Punctuation of a Word Effect SEO?
I have a page on a site that is targeted for "mens hair cut" and I have received a F for the grade. The content on the page uses "men's" throughout the content. (proper punctuation) When I re-graded the page with "men's hair cut" the page received a B grade. My question is, does mens v.s men's make a different for on-page SEO? Should my targeted keywords include "men's" rather than "mens"?

Will ReDesigning my website negatively affect SEO?
I currently have a one page website which lists all the company information on one page [domain name is www. bwd . co . za]. It uses javascript for navigation. My challenge is that the layout is outdated and I would like to update it with a high quality WordPress theme which will not be a one-pager. Currently on Open Site Explorer the website has a domain authority of 30/100 and page authority of 41/100. I've worked hard to push the numbers to get to where they are hence I'm a bit concerned. Will re-designing my website negatively affect SEO?

Are blank Product Review pages bad for SEO?
Hi there, I'm running a new e-commerce site (BoatOutfitters.com) and have a question about our product review pages. On our current campaign, we have a lot of duplicate page content errors. When we export the data, it's almost all blank product review pages (since we are new, we don't have that many product reviews yet). Our product reviews aren't run through javascript, so we originally did not add them to a robots.txt file - however, I'm now wondering if it's worse to have all of these duplicate blank pages, or is it not affecting our SEO at all? Should we just wait until these products have reviews which will benefit our SEO and then they won't be considered "duplicate pages" - right? Sorry if this has been answered before - new here at SEO Moz and just looking for some help. Thanks!
