Have you used Reziew or Reevoo?
-
We are looking into companies to work with for customer reviews and ratings on our e-commerce site. We want our customers to see what others think and we want unique and fresh content on our site for Google to see and the rating star rich snippets in the SERPs.
Two companies we're looking at right now are Reziew and Reevoo. Has anyone had any experience working with them? Any advice for choosing one? Or advice in general about choosing a partner for this? Any other companies you recommend?

Good to know dogids. Thanks for the update. Since my response above I wrote a post comparing eCommerce review vendors, including Revoo, on SEO best practices. Here's the link if you'd like to read it, but I thought Revoo had a pretty good system overall. They're definitely not like everyone else - http://www.seoverflow.com/ecommerce-product-reviews/

Hi Gerard,
We did decide to go with Reevoo and have been quite happy so far. The daily response rate from review requests to recent customers is consistently close to 10% which we feel is the most important metric. Our review response rate was way below 1% prior to this with the BazaarVoice integration on our store.

Hi DogiDs,
Any update on whether or not Reziew or Reevoo performed to your standards? We are currently seeking out a review system for our website, as well, and I found this post by searching for info on Reziew. We're also in talks with a company called Pluck from Demand Media. Their system seems very robust, but a little higher on the price point than what we were hoping for. Reziew is priced quite modestly, which makes it a definite contender, but there's always that fear of the product being "cheap" for that same reason.
Please let me know which you decided to go with. Thanks!

Hello DogiDs,
I've used BazaarVoice and Power Reviews (now owned by BazaarVoice too) as well as a few others, but not the two you just mentioned. Their representative's reply below seems educated on the SEO-issues to look at when choosing a vendor. If all of the review content is only found in an indexable format on your product pages and they have good customer support, competitive pricing, agreeable contract terms... then they may be worth checking out.
Maybe some others will provide some unbiased, experienced feedback on the service so this thread will be marked as a discussion question.

Hi Dogids, we've got of course our own favourite (but you probably guessed that already).
When looking for a reviews and ratings provider you should think about the following:
- true reviews from true customers (look for a solution that proactively reaches out to true customers only to submit reviews).
- volume of reviews generated (higher volume; for better conversion rates, a better customer experience and higher overall ratings).
And of course look for a review vendor that follows the key SEO principles:
- Indexable content: the content is embedded on-page to make it visible to search engines.
- Relevant unique content: publishing each review in only one location to avoid diluting SEO value by duplicating content.
- Fresh content: updating pages automatically and regularly with new reviews.
Happy to continue the discussion privately and answer any questions.

Does using Yoast variables for meta content overwrite any pages that already have custom meta content?
The question is about the Yoast plugin for WP sites. Let's say I have a site with 200 pages and custom meta descriptions / title tags already in place for the top 30 pages. If I use the Yoast variable tool to complete meta content for the remaining pages (and make my Moz issue tracker look happier), will that only affect the pages without custom meta descriptions or will it overwrite even the pages with the custom meta content that I want? In this situation, I do want to keep the meta content that is already in place on select pages. Thanks! Zack

Can we use "top 10" in title?
Hi All, This is a query regarding title tag.I have a listing page with list of hotels in each city. To improve CTR, I used "Top 10 hotels in Boston" as title even though I am showing 25 hotels per page. The page takes about "hotels" but I didn't use "top 10" term anywhere in the page. Is this called keyword stuffing? Should I use "top 10" somewhere in the page as my title says so? Thanks for your help!

Should I use an acronym in my URL?
I know that Google understands various acronyms. Example: If I search for CRM System, it knows i'm searching for a customer relationship management system. However, will it recognize less known acronyms? I have a page geared specifically for SAP data archiving for human capital management systems. For those in the industry, they simply call it HCM. Here is how I view my options: Option #1: www.mywebsite.com/sap-data-archiving/human-capital-management Option #2: www.mywebsite.com/sap-data-archiving/hcm Option #3: www.mywebsite.com/sap-data-archiving/hcm-human-capital-management With option #3, i'm capturing the acronym AND the full phrase. This doesn't make my URL overly long either. Of course, in my content i'll reference both. What does everyone else think about the URL? -Alex

Missing meta descriptions on indexed pages, portfolio, tags, author and archive pages. I am using SEO all in one, any advice?
I am having a few problems that I can't seem to work out.....I am fairly new to this and can't seem to work out the following: Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂 1. I am missing alot of meta description tags. I have installed "All in One SEO" but there seems to be no options to add meta descriptions in portfolio posts. I have also written meta descriptions for 'tags' and whilst I can see them in WP they don't seem to be activated. 2. The blog has pages indexed by WP- called Part 2 (/page/2), Part 3 (/page/3) etc. How do I solve this issue of meta descriptions and indexed pages? 3. There is also a page for myself, the author, that has multiple indexes for all the blog posts I have written, and I can't edit these archives to add meta descriptions. This also applies to the month archives for the blog. 4. Also, SEOmoz tells me that I have too many links on my blog page (also indexed) and their consequent tags. This also applies to the author pages (myself ). How do I fix this? Thanks for your help 🙂 Regards Nadia

How to use good keyword URL to help main site
Hi. I'm a long time ecommerce guy and starting a third business. The main site URL is the name of the new business but I also purchased a .com URL that is our #1 keyword to target. So I need to know the best strategy to use the keyword url for helping with getting a top ranking for that keyword. I'm curious if I can or should build out the keyword URL site for the search engines and use a 301 redirect. Can you get top ranking for a site that just redirects? Anyway, I guess you get my question. This keyword gets a ton of perfectly targeted traffic so seems like a goldmine if I work it right. Thanks very much.
