Article Writing / Guest Post
-
Hi,
What are the advantage of posting an article / Guest post which
-
Doesn't have any links to my website (Just the name of my website)
-
Links are no follow
-
Links are do follow
In advantages, I am talking mainly about SEO benefits and not referral traffic.

OK, strictly from an SEO perspective as you request:
- Slight, but potentially worthwhile. There has been a lot of talk of lexical co-occurrence or co-citation (co-occurrence would be more accurate) that talk about Google being able to recognise your website or brand as an authority in its industry even without links. In short, if your site can be cited on a number of authority websites, even without links, Google may see it as an authority and promote it in search engine results. Here are a few relevant posts:

I think we're a way off seeing this as a major part of the algorithm, but there's no harm in preparing for it.

More influential than 1), but in essence it is a link to your site that is telling Google not to pass on any PageRank, thus it shouldn't give any SEO benefit. There are a few case studies that, over time a nofollow link will pass value (such as this one), but I wouldn't see it as beneficial as a dofollow link.

The biggest benefit SEO wise. If the link is relevant, contextual, from a page with not a lot of outbound links and on a quality website, it can be a great link for your site. Of course, if the link comes from an irrelevant site, with loads of spammy links, lots of outbound links and your link appears in the comments, footer or blogroll, it could actually do more harm than good. So it obviously pays to research the site before hand.
Having said all that, I'd always combine guest blogging with engaging with an active audience, not just exclusively for SEO. But as requested, there's my analysis and I hope it helps!

Guest Posting Offer
Our company gets pitched on linking to other websites nearly constantly. Recently, we received an offer to guest post on several sites managed by the same person. These sites aren't really relevant to our website, so my instinct is that we should ignore the offer. However, I would really like more backlinks and maybe I shouldn't turn away this offer.

Spam sites republish a article with 'money keyword' anchor text and causing a pentalty.. how to prevent.
About 6 weeks ago we had a DA50 / PA50 homepage site publish an article on our company which included a money keyword anchor text to our site.. Great. Once this happened we shot up the SERP for this term, but quite a few other spam / crawler sites seem to automatically republish everything this DA50 site publishes. This didnt seem to be a problem up until a couple of weeks ago, but now with the new penguin update it seems we have been slapped with a penalty, for having 20 sites all with the same article and anchor text. (the rest of our profile is pretty natural, so this is the main culprit for the penalty) Im now going to write to all the webmasters apart from the DA50 site, and ask them to remove the article, failing that ill have to disavow them. For future reference what is there a way of avoiding this issue of spam sites republishing a propper article and triggering a penalty.

Linkbuilding to http/https
Hello, Last year we changed our domain name from http to https. In the .htaccess we included a 301 redirect from http to https. Nevertheless, some pages do not let you link to https, so for linkbuilding we sometimes need to use http://www.domain.ext in stead of https://www.domain.ext. Would this be a problem? I should expect with the 301 redirect that we don't have an issue here, but I would like to be sure. Although, I can make the site accessible without https too, but I don't think this is a good idea regarding duplicate content, is it? Thanks. Tom

Google to devalue guest blog links?
There's a lot of talk at the minute about google possible devaluing guest post links. I wondered what people thought of this and whether it is likely to happen? If it does happen then how will google identify 'spam' guest posts and links? I guess it's fair to assume that if the post is well written, autoriative and adds value to a site with a knoweldgable perspective then it will be counted? It can be very hard to define how google will define a 'quality guest post'? Any ideas? Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?
I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. Backlink's using duplicate content in article directories
I've had a link build report of all the links an SEO company have got us but a simple search for some of the content in Google with phrase match brings up about 3 pages of the same content posted to different article sites. I think it is doing something but will it just be penalised over time?

Myblogguest how to get your articles out and about?
Hi, I'm a member now of myblogguest.com website, I have paid for the pro subscription and have uploaded 1 article (basically to just see how the system works). I've got 15 articles a month which I want to pump out to blogs but has anyone got any tips using the myblogguest system to get blog websites to pick these up? I think I have been fair, 500 words of unqiue content with 1 anchor text link in the body, thats it. In an ideal world I would love it if I had 15 articles all being grabbed by 15 different blogs each month. By the looks of it, that's wishful thinking!

Does getting reblogged on Tumblr offer any positive/powerful backlinks?
This would be under the assumption that our company blog was hosted on tumblr.
