Is Linkbuilding in Middle East dead?

Is linkbuilding in middle east dead? if not from where i can get the backlinks?
-
I think there has certainly been a decline in business for Middle-Eastern 'link building' companies. The reason for this is that automated link building has been cracked down on heavily by Google. Link building now costs a lot more to do and requires much greater resources, skills and expertise.
I'm sure there are still companies in the Middle East that provide good services but just remember, with link building you get what you pay for. If you go in purely on price then you are asking for trouble in the future - do your research and have a look at companies local to yourself - that would be my advice. Being able to sit down and talk to your link building agency can be a great way to ensure that you understand the activities that they are carrying out and what you're getting for your money.
Hope this helps.

A lot of blogs use wordpress or blogspot, are these blogs still useful for SEO in terms of linkbuilding, or should they be avoided?
I am very new to linkbuilding and SEO as a whole, so please forgive my ignorance. Reaching out to bloggers is a common tactic, but I've found a lot of people tend to blog with the assistance of wordpress or blogspot. I was wondering whether these blogs are still useful for SEO or if it is best to avoid them? Thanks in advance, Lewis

Weekly Linkbuilding Task List
I am trying to create a weekly link building task list for my team. We are 3 people. Does any one have any suggestion? For example: 1 - Write x blog posts. 2 - Comment on x relevant sites. 3 - Outreach x people. 4 - Publish x guest post. 5 - Produce and Distribute x info graphic. Does any one have any suggestions? what else should I add to the list? How many of each?

Are directories still an option for linkbuilding
I know that after the recent slate of Google updates, many free directories got taken down. We've typically used the list of directories placed on SEOmoz (www.seomoz.org/directories). Before adding a site to a directory, we always check to see if it is indexed by Google. Is this still a safe option or should directories be avoided?

How to sell linkbuilding?
Howdy SEOmoz, I was wondering what your approach is in selling linkbuilding to clients (we're an agency). Do you sell it as "linkbuilding" or more like content creation/content marketing? do you bill by the hours, instead of project based? How would you calculate the number of hours required? (I know "it depends" :-), but still some insights would be cool) Do you start immediately with more creative strategies (widgets, infographics)? I'm really looking forward in learning how you guys tackle this. Best regards, Nik

Linkbuilding - Which is best?
Okay so we all know that: 1 Link on 10 Sites > 10 Links on 1 Site (potentially untrue with spammy links on 1 site than 10 links on high authority but that's not the point of this discussion) I've had some discussions at work I seem to be fighting a losing battle... So the questions is... which is better? 1 Link on 1 Site vs 5 Links on 1 Site (same site) We seem to operate on the form of - once we have a link from the site (in most cases blogs for product reviews / guest posts) - that's it , we move on and never talk to them again. For continued growth of links, would it be beneficial if we guest posted on some sites once a month? Then we get a steady stream of links each month.

What are your experiences with outsourcing linkbuilding?
For us, any indian/3rd world linkbuilding vendor - do NOT hire them, they will ruin your link profile. If you give them very specific directions & find the right company/guy they can be decent for guerilla (blog/forum/etc) linkbuilding. What are your experiences?

Other than the homepage, what other pages need linkbuilding TLC?
With my linkbuilding efforts, I know what keywords I want to target but my homepage ranks for most of my keywords. The other pages were written and built for specific keywords, but do they need linkbuilding TLC? They don't rank in the SERPs much anyway (if not at all) and the homepage is by-far the strongest in the SERPs.
