By linking adwords to ga is it possible to get it done within one profile only?
-
Hi mozzers,
i have a ga account with 40 profiles and none of them are connected to adwords. I would like to connect adwords to just the combined profile and not the other 39 profiles? Is this possible? if it is how would you do it?
thanks!

Completely tangential to your question, but since you're using both Adwords and Google Analytics together, this opens up the possibility of using Google Analytics Remarketing to you. With one very small change to your GA script, you can use set up remarketing lists based on Google Analytics data (including your custom variables and goals). It's very powerful.

Hi,
Yes you can, if you connect Google Adwords to your Google Analytics account you'll get the opportunity within every profile to choose which Google Adwords profile you would like to connect. It looks like this: http://take.ms/AOYQSl and makes sure that you have full control over your data in GA.

GA 4 Question
What differences are you typically seeing in Google Analytics 4 compared to UA? For one site I have, UA says there were 2,342 new users. GA4 says there were 1,899 new users for the same time period. Does that seem like a normal amount of difference between the two platforms?

Is it possible to have too much content?
Is it possible to have too much content? If so, how do we prove (or at least get evidence) one way or the other to whether we are being adversely affected in the SERPs? The only way we could think of is to publish a lot less for a week or two, but nobody is willing to risk it. Numbers wise we are publishing an average of 125 articles a day, with an archive of around 300k fwiw thanks 🙂

Backlink Tool Finding Links That Aren't Visible
I'm using a variety of backlink toolsl; OSE, SEM Rush, Link Research Tools and Google Webmaster Tools. On some occasions the tools are telling me there is a link to my site on a certain page, however when I open that page I can't see any mention of my company. I have run all these reports today, so I think it is unlikely that Google is using old data. Does anyone know why this happens and if I should still be concerned about links that I cannot see but backlink tools are telling me are there? Thanks guys.

Webmaster tools traffic on one keyword dropped through the floor - ideas?
Hi there, We design and sell our own product range in a narrow niche, and we are also stocked by Amazon and a lot of other big retailers in the UK. During the first two weeks of Dec 2012 the position of one of our main keywords, which was in google SERPs on page 1 (8 or 9), dropped to page 4. The keyword describes the niche we're in. The drop is shown in the webmaster tools traffic report for that keyword. But it's the only one of our keywords where this has happened, and furthermore it hasn't happened for variations of the keyword. And in Adwords our quality score for the keyword is 10 For example say we were making and selling shopping trolleys - our keyword "shopping trolleys" has dropped through the floor, but "shopping trolleys (on) wheels" is just fine. Can anyone shed any light on what's going on here? Losing this one keyword has cost us some good organic traffic. i1uxSlB.png

How to track link building? What metrics?
I'm an SEO newbie (my main roles are front-end designer and content manager).
Reporting & Analytics | | RSGregC
I've been managing our company's effort to generate links. In the past, trying to develop relationships has gone nowhere. As a result, we're currently mostly creating good content ourselves and posting it on Web2.0 sites (weebly, etc.) and linking back to our site, and then using UAW (unique article wizard) to create a second tier of links to those links. We've been doing this for a while, and our traffic from SEO is going up - but we don't really know how to track our work. Can you please
a) give your opinion about our approach, and
b) tell me which metrics we should be using, and which tools for these metrics? Thank you so much

Does prevent links from being included in Google Webmaster linking sites report?
My client has clean links in edit from nytimes.com. The links do not have nofollow tags. Google Webmaster stopped including links from nytimes.com in the external linking domains report and we don't know why since the URL is still live. The nytimes.com URL includes this tag in the source code: Are links on pages with NOARCHIVE still counted in Google Webmaster linking domains reports?
