How "much" schema.org is "too much"?
-
-
In terms of adding schema.org information to web pages, how critical is it for SERP?
-
Can anyone recommend a model of what to tag? For example, on a single blog post I could tag the "article" and the "author", but I could also tag the logo that's in the header on every page. How much is "enough"?
-
What is the relationship between schema.org and rel="author" tags?
Thank you!

-
Thanks for the reply. The link is great!
And other than "rel=author" (which I know shows up ), are there other "critical" ones to have?
-
-
Not critical but helps and gets a message across much better visually.

Speaking of visually and what to tag, this infographic gives you a general start of what to tag: http://moz.com/blog/a-visual-guide-to-rich-snippets

Rel=author is one type out of many ways to add rich snippets described in schema.org. Used to show in SERPs the author of the article.
Hope this helps

"Get price" vs "Request a Quote"
I've read somewhere that "Request a Quote" can sometimes put people off a little bit and that Ill be better having "Get Price". Were an installation service company. I cna have a PRicing page were the customer can fill some information and be provided with a price on the website. Would this be a better option than having a request a quote page? Has anyone had any positive or negative experience with this strategy?

Google "blog" search
Anyone notice a while ago - the "more" drop down used to include "blogs" which really helped with finding like minded blogs for content marketing. Anyone finding this frustrating and or find a solution? I know they supply us with: http://www.google.com/blogsearch Any other hints? Your pal, Chenzo

Rel="noindex in a guest post
I'm guest posting on some sites and one of them placed my back link as follows: mysite.com I'm not sure what he's trying to achieve with the help of rel="noindex"? The first that jumps into my mind is that Google will index the post but skip my backlink. So, there's no sense in such a bakclink, ringht?

My New blog has NO content since 2 months, the day it was launch, What to DO? Is it "DEAD"???
2 months ago, I publish a NEW blog, http://www.mervrating.org The blog has only 3 posts. I don't have much time to work on it. Does it HURT my SEO? Can I start working on it on regular basis and try to built authority or does it looks "dead" to search engine? I would like to bring it alive and give it a second chance, will it be hard if it has no content since the beginning? What is your opinions? Thank you, BigBlaze

The rel="alternate" tag
Hey guys and gals. So I run a hyperlocal blog and get a heap of press releases sent to me daily. I don't have time to rewrite each one before posting it to the website, so I am aware that I am duplicating content and possibly extracting link juice from the original source. Would using the rel="alternate" tag highlighting the source on each press release page fix this? Am I correct in saying this tag tells google that the content on the page is sourced from elsewhere? I also get requests from other sites for my original posts to be posted on their websites but I decline because of duplicate content, would asking for this same ' the rel="alternate" tag' fix on their website be wise? Thanks in advance JC

How much do you pay for a 300+ word blog article?
I am considering outsourcing some of the blog writing and would like to get some idea of what is a reasonable amount to pay someone for writing say a 300-350 word article? Also any recommendations on where to find good writers? Thanks!

Please Explain "Rel Canonical"
I have a travel blog that ranks well for lots of keywords. In my "Notices" section of this site, I found that every page has a rel canonical issue sort of flagged. What does this mean? How can it be fixed? It doesn't seem to bother my traffic, but it'd be nice to have it tidied up. Thanks! The site is www.journeybeyondtravel.com/news

How to best implement "metered model" on a site
Hi, I'm scratching my head over how to best implement the "metered model" on a site without users being able to game it all too easily. Has anybody in this QA forums implemented one before and is willing to share his/her best practises and findings? Currently I think raising the bar to force everybody to login is a bad idea + we would still need to open the site for google and other engines and can be tricked that way. Also this might lead to some penalty (cloaking)? Using cookies might not be enought as I think almost every Internet user these days knows that this might be the #1 place to look and they are deleted in a second. Counting based on a users IP-adress is also a bit critical as this is not accurate enough. Should we just use cookies and hope for the best?
