Search results indexed

Hi there, is is bad practice in seo to have search results for products indexed?
For example a search result of holidays to Ibiza, with lots of deals coming up? its a search query url that would be indexed, with just an image and price per product on the page, with about 10 per page?
Any advice appreciated.

If it is duplicate but on your site only, I do not think you will have an issue based on what I read from Google. If you are using the same product verbiage as everyone else I think it could be an issue. As to poor quality, this issue would more affect ranking IMO.
So, you can no index if it is not a critical page to your business. Or, if it is as I have here, you can simply leave it be until at such time as you believe it is a problem in the eyes of Google. If it is duped content that everyone is using I, personally, would no index no follow.

Hi guys thanks for the reply.
So basically to clarify there are pages indexed which are merely lists of products from a search query url. Somehow Google has picked up the search query url and indexed it. Its simply a list of products with the price on say page 3 of 10 for example. This happens a lot. The worry is will it look duplicate and be seen as poor quality with the panda update?
Thanks, any help much appreciated as always.

I see a lot of search queries being indexed and found by Google. If the page generated offers something unique and not purely duplicate content then I could see this as helpful. It would be a tough line to define of what is strictly spammy SEO and what is helpful. Most often I see these pages for obscure searches, like "best spots with a view for holiday dinners in ibiza".
If you do decide to test these pages, then I would suggest to not dilute your strong pages. If you already rank for "holidays in ibiza" then don't try to rank a similar page like "Ibiza holidays"

Paul,
What do you mean by indexed? Are you saying should the meta robots for the url be: index, follow?
So, you url GreatToursExample.com/holidays-in-ibiza, should it be indexed? Yes, if you want it to show in the SERP.
If I am not following your question, explain and I will follow up.

Google search console image indexing issue
Google search console tells that only '58 out of the 3553' images in the images sitemap are indexed. But if I search "site:example.com" in Google images there seem to be lots of images. There are no errors in the sitemap and I am still getting reasonable number of image search hits daily. Are the webmaster tools stats for images indexed accurate? When I click on the Sitemap Errors & Index Errors this is what i get - Error details: No errors found. https://www.screencast.com/t/pqL62pIc

Google Webmaster tools Sitemap submitted vs indexed vs Index Status
I'm having an odd error I'm trying to diagnose. Our Index Status is growing and is now up to 1,115. However when I look at Sitemaps we have 763 submitted but only 134 indexed. The submitted and indexed were virtually the same around 750 until 15 days ago when the indexed dipped dramatically. Additionally when I look under HTML improvements I only find 3 duplicate pages, and I ran screaming frog on the site and got similar results, low duplicates. Our actual content should be around 950 pages counting all the category pages. What's going on here?

Getting a Video Sitemap Indexed
Hi, A client of mine completed a video sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools a couple of months ago. As of yet the videos are still not indexing in Google. All of the videos sit on the one page but have unique URLs in the sitemap. Does anybody know a reason why they are not being indexed? Thanks David

Will duplicate content on ecommerce cause harm in search results?
First off, SEO learner, not a professional, therefore question is not for any client. A new (less 1 yr) ecommerce site in a particular sector is now moving into partnership with relevant websites to be their online store. A 'store' link on the partner site will redirect to the ecommerce domain to a dedicated area (on a domain/directory path) with the partner's branding. To do this though means duplicating the entire catalogue for each partner that comes on board for this scheme. So the original ecommercesite.com/categories also delivers ecommercesite.com/partner1/categories (with partner's brand identity) ecommercesite.com/partner2/categories (with partner's brand identity) and so on Won't duplicating the product catalogue in directories cause problems in delivering effective SERPs for the original ecommerce site?
