Webmaster Tools Error: Unreachable page
-
Hi all,
When I try to the "Fetch as Google" feature on Webmaster Tools, I get the error Unreachable page.
I checked the Google Analytics code, everything seems to be OK.
What should I do?
-
Thank you!
I made the changes and will check again after 24 hours.
I hope my rankings get back to normal.Kind Regards
-
If you are still getting an unreachable response from the fetch as google bot then your page is still unreachable to Google.
After you make any change to your DNS, wait 24 hours and try again, if the problem persists then you probably need to take a look at your code/server (it could be the robots.txt, ip whitelisting, the actual website code, etc.).
-
Well, usually rankings aren't affected by this problems.
When Google will next crawl your site it should be able to reach the site as you fixed the DNS problems.
-
I just found out that I had problems with DNS this weekend, it affected all of my sites. But now the problem is fixed.
How long does it take for the rankings to get back to normal?
-
It seems like there is something blocking Google robots and the page can't be crawled.
I had similar issues with the site and the problem was a DSN configuration issue.
Also for some reason I had robots blocking some pages and the pages weren't indexed

Page Speed or Site Speed which one does Google considered a ranking signal
I've read many threads online which proves that website speed is a ranking factor. There's a friend whose website scores 44 (slow metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Despite that his website is slow, he outranks me on Google search results. It confuses me that I optimized my website for speed, but my competitor's slow site outperforms me. On Six9ja.com, I did amazing work by getting my target score which is 100 (fast metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Coming to my Google search console tool, they have shown that some of my pages have average scores, while some have slow scores. Google search console tool proves me wrong that none of my pages are fast. Then where did the fast metrics went? Could it be because I added three Adsense Javascript code to all my blog posts? If so, that means that Adsense code is slowing website speed performance despite having an async tag. I tested my blog post speed and I understand that my page speed reduced by 48 due to the 3 Adsense javascript codes added to it. I got 62 (Average metric score). Now, my site speed is=100, then my page speed=62 Does this mean that Google considers page speed rather than site speed as a ranking factor? How to analysis Product List position in Analytic for 2nd Page Clicks?

Pageview/Goal Data Errors In GA
**Background: ** We utilize a static .html page for our quote form. It is embedded on our WordPress site via iframe in a single location. The quote form code itself (within the quote form .html) is generated from our CRM, but contains no tracking code itself. The .html containing this code is tracked with embedded Analytics code to track our Goals. This code is tested and works properly, recording goal completions when our thank-you.html page is loaded within the iframe. To be clear, quote.html is the page the iframe loads, .com/quote-page is the WordPress page with the iframe, and thanks.html is the goal completion page. Google Analyticator plugin handles code insertion throughout the site. The .html pages have code manually inserted and neither are indexed by Google or linked to/accessible by any route other than .com/quote-page **Problems: ** 1. When I check Pageviews in GA, the quote.html page has many more hits than .com/quote-page. The disparity is 552 to 416. How is this possible when quote-page has to be loaded in order for quote.html to be loaded? Shouldn't they be similar? 2. Our completion page, thanks.html, is showing 142 pageviews and 133 unique pageviews. Our goals confirm 133 goal conversions. How are people seeing the thanks.html page again without it registering a goal? A backspace? Someone help me decipher this please! If you need any more details, let me know!

Hello, So with trying to figure out what I can do to better my website, I noticed a post on here that mentioned bounce rates. So I went to my Google analytics pages and listed my bounce rates. My average is 44% But I have a picture page that is 100% and a contact page that is 80% Can pages like this cause an algo penalty that could hurt a whole site? Thank you for your valuable insights

Can underscore blanks trigger home page bounce rates
Buongiorno from 8 degrees C Wetherby UK 🙂 On this site the scrolling banner has been hyperlinked with underscore blank causing new pages to open when a user clicks on a banner. My question is please... "If a user clicks on a banner will Google measure this as a home page bounce" ( I dont think it will i just want to be 100% sure) Click here for illustration:

Google.co.uk (The Web or Pages From UK) Query?
Hi, Google.co.uk is ambiguous at best, it is geo targeted for the UK, however, by default all results incorporate "The Web" meaning outside the UK. If a user wishes to filter to "Pages From UK" then they have to click that specifically. Now my clients regularly ask me whether the traffic they are getting is from Google.co.uk (The Web) or Google.co.uk (Pages from UK) In analytics it combines these two as single source = Google.co.uk without any further breakdown, is there a way to figure this out. If I can split the figures then I can run necessary additional comparisons etc. Regards Ausaf
