Hi, depending on which CMS you are using there may be a plugin you can use to add the Google Analytics tracking code to your website.
Which CMS do you have?
With regard to the tracking code, if you haven't done so already you will need to create a Google Analytics account for your website domain. In the process you will be given a portion of code to include in your web pages. However, if you can use a plugin with your CMS all you need to get is the unique tracking ID for your website from your Google Analytics account. This will come in the format:
UA-xxxxxx-xx
where the Xs will be numbers.
I hope that helps,

Hello
That's a very good way of doing it. As I'm not a technical expert it looks a bit difficult.
Do you know any easier way to integrate it into CMS ?

I have found the best way track Facebook and Twitter is through Google Analytics. Google Analytics automatically tracks Google Plus on initial setup, but for Facebook and twitter it requires additional code within the share buttons. You can find the documentation to setting this up at Google Developers Social Interactions - Web Tracking. Let me know if you have any additional questions or need any help with implementation.

Hi, if you are not already a subscriber there are social tracking tools within Moz's new Moz Analytics in which you can for example track your site's "Most Engaging Posts".

Is It Possible to have Cross Domain Tracking on Two Different Accounts?
Good afternoon to all, I have this kind of dilemma regarding setting up tracking code on two different accounts, namely bioglass.com with GA Code UA-12345678-1 where all the product information has been listed and shopbioglass.com with GA Code UA-87654321-1 where the prices are located and transaction takes place. Both of them are connected since if you click the buy button on bioglass.com for a specific product, it will automatically redirect to shopbioglass.com where the prices and transactions comes into place. Dilemma: I want to check how many conversion took place from bioglass.com to shopbioglass.com. I know they have different GA Code but is it possible for me to have a cross domain tracking for this?? What are the possible remedies if not? Thanks to all 🙂

Weird Math in GA Ecommerce Tracking
Hi everybody. I've recently discovered that I have a problem with the ecommerce tracking on a client's website. The client sells concert tickets at an average price of $10 per ticket. The custom ecommerce platform they use is kind of unusual; the same product often has different SKUs, but not always. This isn't associated with different seats, etc. In fact, I don't yet know why they've set it up that way. The problem that I'm facing is this: the data in Analytics is calculating the "average price" of a SKU item as the total price. If, for example, the actual average price for a SKU item is $10 and four of those SKU items were sold, Analytics will tell me the average price is $40. This means that the total revenue for that SKU shows up as $40 x 4 = $160. Needless to say, this is enormously skewing the data. Here's a screenshot. Note, it's the same product: http://screencast.com/t/JyLQkb3jzz6s The total revenue for ticket sales is way off because of this, and I'm not sure if it's a problem with the ecommerce tracking code in Analytics, or something that the ecomm platform is doing. Have any of you experienced anything like this, and if so is it a fix in Analytics? Thank you!

Tracking time spent on a section of a website in Google Analytics
Hi, I've been asked by a client to track time spent or number of pages visited on a specific section of their website using Google Analytics but can't see how to do this. For example, they have a "golf" section within their site and want to measure how many people either visit 5 page or more within the golf section or spend at least 6 minutes browsing the various golf section pages. Can anyone advise how if this can be done, and if so, how I go about it. Thanks

How can I track my rankings on Google Images?
I noticed a small amount of traffic coming from a particular very generic keyword. Being pleasantly surprised that we are ranking for this, and after some digging, I found that we are actually ranking in Google images, rather than in the web results. How can I track whether other keywords are ranking in Google images? I use Rank Checker to track keywords in the main web results, but this doesn't have a function for Google Images. Help please - thanks.

How do I add event tracking to these buttons?
I have two separate events that I would like to track on my site. [Ask a Question](javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$MainContent$AskQuestionButton','')) and I think I would want to use this-_gaq.push ([‘_trackEvent’,’event category’,’event action’,’event label’, event value]); Is that correct? Where would I place it in the button code? Would this work?

_gaq.push ([‘_trackEvent’,’AskAQuestion’,’Submitted’,’event label’, event value]); The event doesn't have a label or value. Are those left blank?1 -
Best practices to track blog.mydomain.com in Google Analytics?
What is the best practice in Google Analytics? Tracking blog.mydomain.com + mydomain.com under the same profile? Or creating separate profiles for each blog.mydomain.com and mydomain.com? Thanks!

Tracking Social Media Logged In Users Help
Hi, I recently read Tom Anthony's post on "Monitor Which Social Networks Your Visitors are Logged Into With Google Analytics". I have looked and re-looked at the code implemented and after two days I am still not getting any results tracking. Could somebody please take a look at my site and tell me if they see any conflicts or errors I may have made when installing the code. Thanks for any help!

Campaign tracking and duplicate content
Hi all, When you set up campaign tracking in Google Analytics you get something like this "?variable=value parameters" in the URL. If you place such a link on your site as an internal link, will it be considered as a different URL and will have its own link value? The question I have is, since Google knows it's a Google link and knows the original URL (by stripping the tags), does it pass link value to the original URL? If not, what can be done to pass link value? Thanks in advance. Henry
