Say you have a client that specializes in Driveways and you have multiple keywords within one locations. So for instance the keywords are Driveway company, Driveway installers, driveway repairs etc.. How would you set it up?
San Diego Driveway Company, San Diego Driveway Installers, San Diego Driveway repairs or
San Diego Driveway Company, Driveway Installers, Driveway repairs
-
A few ideas for url and titles:
Repair link
YOURDOMAIN.COM/san-diego-driveway-repair
Installation link:
YOURDOMAIN.COM/san-diego-driveway-installation
Also for the home page title:
San Diego Driveway Company | Driveway Repair, Installation, and Maintenance
By having your pages separate, you can optimize more effectively on each given term, in a way that does not offend the user. Most often, when a search is done for that particular keyword, the user will come directly to that page, not even aware the other pages exist.
-
Set up a separate page for each keyword phrase, and link to them where it makes sense to the user. You could also have a drop-down menu, and in the order of top to bottom:
Installation
Repair
Maintenance
Company info
That will allow you to set up a separate url and page title to optimize for each, and not be spammy. I would use this approach because those terms in that large of an area will be very competitive. Also, this will allow you opportunities for proper anchor linking to very specific pages.

What about something like:
San Diego Driveway Repairs & Installation | "Your Brand" OR Driveway Repairs & Installation in San Diego - Brand? With this you would want to be careful that your title element isn't too long.
If you are able to create a specific page for each of those, sgutermuth's idea isn't bad either. It depends on what you are able to create pages for. You want your home page to be the most broad and general representation of what you do, and than get more specific and long-tail with your keywords with your category and subcategory pages.
It depends a little bit on what your site structure is like. These are just some thoughts.
-
That's interesting, I would use different titles for different pages, no sense in throwing all the eggs in one basket. Maybe go with San Diego Driveway Specialists for the home page.

Try to figure out which keyword is the "happy medium" between search traffic (AdWords Keyword Planner), relevancy to the page, and what simply sounds human (page titles are probably the most often read text on a SERP by humans, after all).
Use the new Title Tag Preview tool on this Moz blog post to preview how the page title will look.

I seem to have about 10 ### tags in the sidebar. Should they be removed?
A plugin inserts H3 tags in sidebar 'read more' type links. They are tangentially related to the content (as the whole site is on ice hockey), but not directly related. Will Google think these are part of the content and be a little confused on the subject matter or is it smart enough to realize this is Sidebar material? Do I need to take action/be concerned? thanks

Title tag length
Hi, I am fairly new to SEO and have just noticed the end of my title text has been cut off by Google in the serps results. Everything i have read tells me titles should be maximum of 70 characters, however, Google is only displaying 54. See below Security systems | wireless | battery powered | Police... Nobody else on the page is showing more than 54 characters. Am i missing something obvious? Any and all help gratefully appreciated. Thanks Si

I have a deal blog that focuses on Amazon deals but I also write articles, top ten lists, etc. It is baby and mom related. Is there a tutorial for this? Should I just experiment and watch my organic search results? TIA!

Wordpress Title Element tag too long?
So apparently when I add the name of the blog within Wordpress, the name of the blog shows up after the the main title of each blog post and page. So trying to keep the title element >70 characters, how does one name the Wordpress blog as mine is/was: Lake Tahoe wedding photographer / Heidi Huber Photography and keep that only on the intro page and leave each page of the blog and the titles of the blog posts to not have "Lake Tahoe wedding photographer added to the end of the Title Element? Anyone have any idea? I also had gone in at one point and updated every single Title on each page/post using Yoast's SEO and the SEOMOZ crawl is still coming up with over 216 caution errors for the title page. Thank you so much for any advice! Heidi

Hello Mozers- I am targeting the keywords "liposuction scottsdale", "liposuction phoenix", "liposuction mesa", "liposuction arizona". Out of the following two Titles below, one would you consider the better one? And Why? I am leaning towards the second example. If you have any more ideas that would be great. 1). Tummy Tuck Scottsdale, Phoenix, Mesa, Arizona 2).Tummy Tuck Scottsdale | Tummy Tuck Phoenix, Mesa, Arizona. Thanks!!
