Is this (title) keyword stuffing?
-
"Animated Explainer Videos by Wick Video"
"Video" is used twice. Could this hurt us?
-
I agree with Justin and Bruce! Being that the brand name is Wick Video, I dont find this to be kw stuffing in any way.
-
"Wick Video" is the name of the site, so I don't think you title tag would be considered "unnatural" by Google. (See Irrelevant keywords). Using the same word three times in a title ... that's probably stuffing.
More importantly, though, I'd just write in a natural way. Your headline reads naturally. It's not a list of keywords -"Animated Explainer Videos, Video Demos, Animated Videos by Wick Video". You're probably fine with it.
-
It depends on how often the keyword is used elsewhere. The recommended level of all keywords relating to a page is 15, nicely placed amongst the URL, Meta description, h1, and text etc. As long as it is balanced.
The URL is the first indication of the page content relevance to a searched for keyword, and then the others all build up a great picture of the page. However, URL is not everything. Quality content is the most important element of a page as Google will look at the page too to make a decision (edit typo fix) "in conjunction" with the URL.
Keyword stuffing is when you have far to many instances. The best way to tackle this is with a thesaurus and a good keywork tool to find great variations of the Keyword that are also used.

Google changing my Title
I noticed today that Google is showing a different Title in searches for the homepage. It is showing a title which I believe was active as of late last year or early January. The new title is in the title tag, in Google cache and in MOZ crawls as well. Not sure why it would still be showing a different title in the search and wanted to see if anyone can explain the reason. Thanks

Meta tag keywords with the same words in them.
I'm updating some older pages and was wondering about potential penalties from having keywords that start with the same phrase. It's a geographic area so there is the "full name" and the abbreviated name. I'd like to have keywords for both. For example: virginia beach, va beach, virginia beach attraction, virginia beach things to do, va beach attraction, va beach things to do, virginia beach dolphins tour, va beach dolphins tour Is that spammy? I understand they don't have the same weight as they used to but I'd like to optimize for them anyway since I'm redoing some things. Thanks in advance.

Image Alt and Title?
I'm building a quotations website. Each quotation will have between 1 and 5 images (picture quotes) associated with it. The images will be featured as thumbnails (image gallery) on the quote post itself. How should I handle the image alt and title tags so that I rank better for a quote in image search, and also strengthen the ranking signals on the quote post itself? Take for example, a photo of a beach and a photo of the sun. Both have the same quote on it: "Laughter is an instant vacation." Should the quote itself go into the alt tag? while the description of the image goes into the title? Or should the quote go into the title? Would this be correct? Title: Beach with children playing in the sand. Alt: "Laughter is an instant vacation." Title: Sun shining in the sky. Alt: "Laughter is an instant vacation." What about if the quote is very long? Google has said they like when the alt and title tags are short.

Forcing keywords into domain structure
Hi there, Over the last few years, I've seen people structuring their site so that their main content is all housed in a folder named after the site's primary keywords. For example, if I had some content about home insurance, normally naming conventions state that I might put the content at a URL such as: www.mydomain.com/home-insurance However, some sites, may change this structure to include their main keyword again in the URL string: www.mydomain.com/insurance/home-insurance The folder 'insurance' would normally hold the site's Sitemap to increase internal linking strategy too. I'd be really interested to hear whether anyone has seen any serious benefits from re-structuring their site in this way? What are your thoughts on this? Thanks,
