Should I be worried about a duplicate content issues between LinkedIn and my blog posts?

I sometimes take my original LinkedIn post and repost it to my blog. Since Google indexes LinkedIn posts, is there any need to worry about duplicate content issues? Or will Google recognize the common author/ownership?

It's not a good idea to repost content from one source to another, unless you have Canonical settings applied so Google understands which page is the true authority/source for the content.
Without those canonical settings applied, you are running the risk of it being seen as duplicate content.
I suggest using Linkedin as a gateway to your own website - post unique content on both sites. One idea could be posting an introduction of your blog post on Linkedin and then expanding upon the theme in greater detail on your own blog.

Do you think that Content Locking (force to share to unlock content) is manipulative and will eventually be penalised by Google?
There is a tactic called content locking which requires a user to share a post or homepage URL in order to unlock content (either a video, a full post or downloadable ebook). Do you think this is manipulating signals to increase search rankings? Facebook Promoted posts
I have been promoting posts on our Facebook page with some good results. Am I aable to determine the Day /time the post is promoted? As ideally we want to be promoting the post when people are awake? Thanks for your help

Distributing of Viral Content
Hi, have a question on the distribution of content. Let say you have written awesome content, with great visuals, etc which is designed to go viral. Your site is relatively new - not many social media followers, DA authority, or natural traffic. What would be a good process of distributing that content - getting the content out there so it has the best chance and ability to go viral and generate links. So far i have: Use press releases to distribute that content, using a distribution service like: prnewswire.com. Hope its picked up by a news site or something. Contact Facebook Pages or Twitter Pages who have a large audience of the type of people who would be interested in the content. Ask them if they can share the content. Content sites related to the content, and ask them to share it with their users (Give them a incentive e.g. money, a gift, etc) I think number 1 would yield the best possible results in getting actual sites linking to you. 2 and 3 are more designed for people (who very few would have blogs) to read the content. Any other suggestions, i'm missing out on? Thanks, Matt

Lost social share count after migrating blog
Hi, Yesterday I migrated our blog to a new domain. It seems it went smoothly and all 301 redirects were implemented and are working properly, however, the social share count was lost across all posts and has returned to zero. Is there any easy way I can recover our social share counts across the board? I am using the **1-click Retweet/Share/Like **plugin for Wordpress. Any help on this would be much appreciated. What's a good social media content creation brief template?
I'm trying to put together a brief template for our copywriters to use when requesting the creation of a piece of content. These are the points I have thought of so far are: Subject / Topic Content Objective Desired User Outcome / Call to action Sources, References Tone of voice Related product information Target SEO keywords Can you think of anything else to add? Do you know good resources (articles, blog post) tackling the subject of a content creation brief? Thanks in advance.

Moderate blog comments Yes/No? Facebook comment plugin?
I was reading outbound marketing and they suggest that a good blog "does not" moderate comments. I have always taken the moderate approach, but their thought was this inhibits a conversation from taking place on the blog. I am wondering what thoughts others may have on this and its potential positive and negative impacts, both SEO and in general. Also I am thinking about using a Facebook plugin with my blogposts. I think this may be a good way to help get social visibility... Has anyone tried this yet?

LinkedIn and SEO -- Is there a relationship?
I've analyzed the link profiles for 12 sites recently. I noticed that none included a link from LinkedIn, though each company had links on LinkedIn (I suspect this is because LinkedIn redirects outbound links). Are links on LinkedIn really good for SEO?
