How would I make an image sitemap for a site with 50k images?

Is it worth creating an image sitemap? I read an image sitemap can only have 1k entries would I need to make 50 different ones?

I was reading it as have a separate image sitemap thinking I needed 50 different sitemaps. This makes a lot more sense. Thank you.

Its 1000 images per page. So you can have a sitemap with 50k urls and up to 1k images for each url.
Easiest way is to incorporate the images into the URL sitemap.
Is it worth it? If you have many images that are well optimized for specific target keywords, then yes. You can drive a lot of traffic from image search when optimized properly.

Do I have to create a separate sitemap for my multilingual site?
Hi, I was wondering how should I implement a sitemap for my multilingual site. Currently we have two languanges separated by subdirectories in our site /en (english) and /fr (french) however based on the the articles that I have read there are no clear explanation on the implementation of the sitemap with different languanges. Here are the cases I think is possible for the implementation: Case 1: One sitemap with all the en and fr pages together with hreflang attribution for each pages Case 2: One sitemap with only en pages with hreflang attribution for both languages (en and fr) Case 3: Separate sitemap for en and fr pages with hreflang attribution for both languanges and connect both through sitemapindex creation. If any of my proposed cases are not possible please let me know the best approach in creating a multilingual sitemap for my site. Appreciate your thoughts regarding this. Thank you!

Tracing Redirects to a Site
I wonder if anyone has used any tools where you can trace the redirects pointing to a site? I know there are a number of tools out there that can be used to check where a URL redirects to, but I was wondering if anyone has used a tool where I could trace all redirects with the final URL? I am using this for competitor research so I don't have access to Analytics or Webmaster Tools.

Why would this site outrank a Pr2 site with higher domain authority?
I am trying to get a pr2 site to be on top 7 local spot for the keyword Van Nuys Bail bonds but have discovered a site which has barely any back links and is not even a year old on top results. Their backlinks are from lower authority domains than what we have. How could this site be beating a 7 year old pr2 website? The site I'm working on is http://bbbail.com/ The site that is ranking in 5th spot local with pr0 is http://www.vipbailbonds.org/ is it maybe because it is a .org site? Also I notice that all websites in top spots have www, could that be a factor as well?

One site per location or all under and umbrella site?
I am working on a project where we are re-branding lots (100+) existing local business under one national brand. I am wondering what we should do with their existing websites, they are generally fairly poor and will need re-designing to match the new brand but may have some residual links? 301 redirect the URL to the national site, e.g. nationalsite.com/localbusinessA? If so what should I look out for? Do I need to specifically redirect any pages that have links to them to the same pages on the new site? Or should I give them a new standalone website that they link back to the national brand site? More than likely this will be hosted on the same server and CMS as the main site just the URL will remain Do I need to make sure that any old URL's that had links to them are 301'd to the new pages? Site Wide Links
I have a link on pr 3 home page website placed in the side bar. It is on a WordPress website that spans a couple hundred pages and the side bar is on every page. The majority of the pages are not ranked or have any pr. Can this affect me negatively?

Brand New Site Penalized?
I recently launched 2 completely separate and unrelated websites at the same time. Both are new domains and hosting accounts. neither have any links. One is ranking for a branded search and the other is not. The interesting thing is that I tested both sites on the back end of my server before launch. The site that is not ranking for branded search IS ranking still on the back end of my site for the branded search. I have removed all content and 301 redirected the testing urls back to my portfolio page. Could this be do to Google indexing one but not the other. Does it have anything to do with testing on my server first and my DA being higher than current new sites? Or is it something completely different I'm missing completely. Is this a Penalty?
