How would I make an image sitemap for a site with 50k images?

Is it worth creating an image sitemap? I read an image sitemap can only have 1k entries would I need to make 50 different ones?

I was reading it as have a separate image sitemap thinking I needed 50 different sitemaps. This makes a lot more sense. Thank you.

Its 1000 images per page. So you can have a sitemap with 50k urls and up to 1k images for each url.

Easiest way is to incorporate the images into the URL sitemap.

Is it worth it? If you have many images that are well optimized for specific target keywords, then yes. You can drive a lot of traffic from image search when optimized properly.

Removing images from site and Image Sitemap SEO advice

Hello again, I have received an update request where they want me to remove images from this site (as of now its a bunch of thumbnails) current page design: http://1stimpressions.com/portfolio/car-wraps/ and turn it into a new design which utilized a slider (such as this): http://1stimpressions.com/portfolio/ They don't want the thumbnails on the page anymore. My question is since my site has a image sitemap that has been indexed will removing all the images hurt my SEO greatly? What would the recommended steps to take to reduce any SEO damage be, if so? Google Webmaster Sitemap *pending*

Hey guys, I've noticed that my sitemap has been "pending" for quite some time in Google Webmaster tools. This leads me to believe that Google is not indexing my site. Could someone help me and point me to what I'm doing wrong? My site is The Tech Block

Is it best to create multiple xml sitemaps for different sections of a site?

I have a client with a very big site that includes a blog, videos, photo gallery, etc. Is it best to create a separate xml file for each of these sections? It seems to me like that would be the best way to keep everything organized. Or at least separate the blog out from the main site. Does anybody have any tips or recommendations? I'm not finding any good information about this.

Do we need to manually submit a sitemap every time, or can we host it on our site as /sitemap and Google will see & crawl it?

I realized we don't have a sitemap in place, so we're going to get one built. Once we do, I'll submit it manually to Google via Webmaster tools. However, we have a very dynamic site with content constantly being added. Will I need to keep manually re-submitting the sitemap to Google? Or could we have the continually updating sitemap live on our site at /sitemap and the crawlers will just pick it up from there? I noticed this is what SEOmoz does at http://www.seomoz.org/sitemap.

Google.ca is showing our US site instead of our Canada Site

When our Canadian users who search on google.ca for our brand (e.g. Travelocity, Travelocity hotels, etc.), the first few results our from our US site (travelocity.com) rather than our Canadian site (travelocity.ca). In Google Webmaster Tools, we've adjusted the geotargeting settings to focus on the appropriate locale, but the wrong country TLD is still coming up at the top via google.ca. What's the best way to ensure our Canadian site comes up instead of the US site on google.ca? Thanks, Tory Smith

More than 1 XML Sitemap

I recently took over administration of my site and I have 2 XML sitemaps for my main site and 1 XML sitemap for my blog (which is a sub-page of the main site). Don't I only need 1 sitemap for my site and one for my blog? I don't know which one to delete - they both has the same page authority. Also, only 1 of them is accessible by browser search. http://www.rmtracking.com/rmtracking-sitemap.xml - accessible in browser http://www.rmtracking.com/sitemap.xml - regularly updated in Google Webmaster Tools but not accessible in search browser. I don't have any error messages in Webmaster tools.
