Mass changes of titles and descriptions can cause issues?
-
I have a big website with all the titles and desc NOT optimized...if i change all of them in one day this can cause seo issues on my site? It's okay to do that?
-
Egol and Moosa are spot - a couple of things to add.
I suggest do not first work on your most important pages first. With the new search analytics in WMT's you can learn a lot about your website - easy and quick now to monitor page change outcomes. Train on a few lesser important pages, some might have more traffic, then go to your most important pages.
If you only change the meta description - monitor CTR on WMT's. If you change the title and meta description - spread sheet both Clicks and CTR. When changing Title often the page rank and even the CTR can drop but total clicks increases. After you have optimized a few pages and found out why people click, comfortable with the results, made your mistakes:-
Then armed with that knowledge focus on your primary pages, and you will do it with confidence.
We do alot of this and to jump to the most important pages first and "practice" on them, is not something we recommend. We often think we know, but every site has nuances and customers do not do exactly as we anticipate. We got burnt a few times doing the important pages first as that is what the client always wants... You may get it right, but why risk it. It is a ten day delay, if all goes well.
Hope this assists.

EGOL sir, you probably nailed it!
Whenever creating titles and descriptions you have to think about two areas
- Your search audience
- Search Engine Rankings
Id I would be at your place, I would list down all the important keywords in one document and then map the keywords on different pages of the website accordingly. Once done and I know what keywords I should be placing on each URL/page, I will move accordingly.
Once I have keywords mapped, next thing is to divide the pages as per the priorities. Important, Less Important and rest of the pages
Start with important pages, than move towards less important pages and then the pages that are on the website but not your priority at all.
As EGOL said, dedicate some time in your day may be half hour everyday (if you have another person to do the job in that case its different) and get the job done. This way it will be more efficient and closer to what your audience is looking for
Hope this helps!

I have a big website....
If the current titles and descriptions are "close" but not "optimal" then small tweakings will probably not be a problem.
But... my concern is that you have a large website and plan to do this job in one day.
I often spend a bit of time on each title and description. I want a title that presents the the page for the proper keywords (so I do a bit of KW research). I also want a title that elicits clicks or presents a value proposition (so I spend more time on that). Then I want a description that personalizes the article to the search audience, or presents secondary keywords and secondary propositions (again, more time).
These things can take some time, but, if done deliberately and well, they can multiply your traffic potential beyond what you might get from a "slap them on quickly effort".
So, I would spend 1/2 day per week over the next couple of months on this job. I would do the pages with the highest anticipated value first, then work my way to the less important pages, while keeping an eye on the performance of those most important pages.

Potential duplicate content issue?
We have a category on our website for PVC rolls to buy as standard 50m rolls (this includes 15 products in the category). We're also releasing PVC rolls to buy per metre (10m roll/25m roll etc...), again with 15 products, which we are adding as a separate category as it makes more sense for our customers and removes the risk of having too many options. Would using the same description be bad practice for SEO? The product is exactly the same just available in different roll sizes, but we definitely do not want to combine categories as it doesn't work for our customers. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Is there some reputed company/person which can fix the SEO issues for me?
One of my websites http://forum32.com/ was ruling the roost shortly after it launched. We cover BTS (behind the scenes) etc of the TV shows that my production company makes. But then it all went downhill. I do understand that my readership fluctuates with the number of shows I am doing and therefore covering but for a show like "Qubool Hai" which has been running for the past 3 years and we do almost two posts about it - we rank nowhere. Could posting about this "too much" be a problem? Anyway I have been breaking my head over this for the past six months and spent a lot of time trying to set this right but: 1. I am running out of time as I am about to start directing another show. 2. I am not even sure if what I am doing is right! Can any person/company Which is well trusted help me out of this situation? Here is a screenshot of my latest report from MOZ: https://infinit.io/_/jPcUTJP

Titles
Our site http://villasdini.com is offering beach villas on sunny Diani beach in Kenya. I have a category with beach villas in Diani beach which I want to be shown in serp if somebody search for Diani beach villas, or Diani beach hotels, Diani beach accommodation etc. I have also category with small boutique hotels, which I want to be shown in serp if somebody search for Diani beach villas, or Diani beach hotels, Diani beach accommodation etc. Should I also include Diani beach in titles? Will that not be too much of Diani bech in titles? I am afraid I have anyway already too much of "Diani beach" keyword and perhaps I am even punished for it as I can't rank for this keyword at all almost a year:-( I also want to rank on Diani beach itself and I have created Diani beach page which I want to be shown in serp when somebody search for Diani beach. I am kind of getting crazy of this:-( Any advice what I am doing wrong and what strategy I should rather do? Thank you very much, Iris

Mass Duplicate Content
Hi guys Now that the full crawl is complete I've found the following: http://www.trespass.co.uk/mens-onslow-02022 http://www.trespass.co.uk/mens-moora-01816 http://www.trespass.co.uk/site/writeReview?ProductID=1816 http://www.trespass.co.uk/site/writeReview?ProductID=2022 The first 2 duplicate content is easily fixed by writing better product descriptions for each product (a lot of hours needed) but still an easy fix. The last 2 are review pages for each product which are all the same except for the main h1 text. My thinking is to add no index and no follow to all of these review pages? The site will be changing to magento very soon and theres still a lot of work to do. If anyone has any other suggestions or can spot any other issues, its appreciated. Kind regards Robert

Change 10yrs old home title tag seo safe?
Howdy everyone! Wish you the best for 2012! We have a client who is ranked #1 for keyword "blue widgets". Their site's homepage title has the keyword "blue widgets" in it and has been the same for 10yrs+. Recently they have added other types of widgets to their offering. Is it safe to change their title by adding more keywords to it? For example: "blue widgets | green widgets | brand x widgets". May our client lose their ranking if we change their title? Thanks in advance for your help!
