Do licensing fees usually apply to subfolders?

Currently we have one US website that we built on a new SaaS platform last year. We want to move forward with adding subfolders for three other countries. Based on previous discussions, we believe we can easily copy the content of our US website and put it into a subfolder and then make localization edits from there.

If we build out brand new sites with new domains, I would expect to pay licensing fees. But if we just do subfolders, are there usually licensing fees involved?

I got it! I'm not especially familiar with CMS policies, but I would sort of doubt it. It could vary by provider, too. It sounds like something you'd need to ask someone at the SaaS company.

I’m talking about fees that we pay to our Saas provider. We currently pay a license to use the CMS platform. If we were to create a completely new website (not in a subfolder) I know we should expect to pay an annual fee. But should we expect to do that with subfolders.

I'm not 100% clear where licensing fees come in. From the post, it sounds as if you're just looking to duplicate and localize content you already own for other markets, yes? Who would you be paying for licensing? Was the content licensed in the first place?
