Instagram for small manufacturing business?

Hi all,
We're a small business based in the UK that manufactures a range of PVC strip curtains and rubber site safety products. We have a presence on twitter, facebook, LinkedIn & google+... I've been considering Instagram for a little while now as I know we would have plenty to post (strip curtains are seen in multiple industries, it'd be great to post unusual applications that we've supplied to...) but I'm wondering what experience anyone has had with Instagram in an industrial manufacturing business... Is the audience there or would it be a waste of time for us? I've briefly looked through # but I'd like to know first-hand experiences!

Well you have an interesting product for instagram. My best advice would be to analyze the behavior of your target market. If your target market, or influencers of your target market, are on instagram, then follow then and create new relationships. As with any other tool, it takes time and dedication to grow a following and cimmunicate effectivley with the right people and businesses.
Use instagram as a brand awareness and relationship tool...never as a selling tool. The silver lining? You get an instagram link which im sure is a 100 DA.

Tough question here. Have you checked to see if comparable companies or competitors are on Instagram? And if so, are you able to gauge their success or lack thereof?

Concerned over a small video snippet autoplaying on my homepage (Negative page load speed = Negative SEO)
I'm looking at embedding a short 20 second autoplay video to show as the background in a Jumbotron (I'm using Bootstrap) right below my navbar. This looks great and works well for branding ect, however I'm concerned the loading speed will be hit after crossing over from a static image (perhaps 300kb) to a video (perhaps 2MB) which could detrimentally hit my SEO (I also can't help but notice not many SEO minded websites have these autoplaying videos - Perhaps for this reason!) Does anyone have any experience with a similar issue? Is there anything I can do to compress the video right now to a similar file size to an image? I've set it up using a media query to not show on mobile/tablets. Sam

Google Plus for Businesses - Should I add users to Company's Circles (branded page)?
Hi All, I know (or think I know) that one of the easiest ways to gain followers for my brand on G plus is to add people to our company's circles. Naturally, they often add you back. However, what does it mean to people who watch my brand (my G Plus page), the fact that I'm following thousands of people? Should I do it? How does it reflect on us?

Listing multiple business locations
Greetings, I had a quick question that i was unable to find an answer for so i wanted to see what you guys think. I am currently working on getting our business situated on sites like Yelp, Hotfrog, Bing business portal, etc., and on a lot of these sites i have to add each of our three store locations individually. I wonder when i put in the name, if it makes more sense to just put the business name as "Business Name" or wether i should identify each location separately in the name as "Business Name + City". I was just curious if there is a reason i should do one or the other, or since we plan to make sure it's listed the same way everywhere, does it not really matter?

Local Business Listings
We have about 60+ local businesses under our main brand we are hoping to manage "easily". We are looking at these three, but unsure which will work the best: www.ubl.org localeze.com yext.com Our past vendor worked with localeze, but had some problems with axicom listings. Social Profile for my business, where do I start
Hi, Today our business has no social presence so we are starting from the ground up. We have implemented the Google +1 button across the site, but nothing more. The social sites I'm considering targeting are: Linked In Twitter Facebook Google +1 I already have personal accounts used personal sharing on Linked In, FB and +1. I'm unsure whether I need to create a new facebook account for each of those and then create the business profile on each one or whether I should use my existing personal account. Further, for Google +1, there was no requirement to create any business page of any kind, all I had to do was take the code and insert it into the website. That confused me as for Facebook and Linked In, I was sure you must have an account up in order to have the social Like or Share button working Given I'm at the very start of this process, it would be great to get others input into how they went about this, and perhaps share any pitfalls they may seem obvious to avoid in hindsight. One big site or lots of little sites? Which is better for SEO and my business in general?
I realize there are some aspects of what I'm asking that only I can answer. With that said, I'm looking for some discussion about the pros / cons of each, and what are the most important factors that will push me one way or another. Let's say I have a company that has three products. One big brand, three little brands. Each of the little brands is focused on a particular sub-niche, all of which are in the general health & wellness niche. Either, I could create a large site for the big brand, with subsections for each product, and work hard on turning that domain into a goto site, with lots of articles, etc. The domain name for this one would be a made up word so I can fully control the search results. Or, another strategy would be to create smaller, "sniper" sites for each product, maybe even sites for each major search term that is interested in that product. These sites would have fewer articles. Descriptive, exact match domain names. Which is the best strategy? #1, #2, or a mixture of both? #1 seems legitimate, #2 seems a bit spammy. What are the pros and cons to each? Can anyone speak from experience about both these practices?
