How to rank same business page in different locations?
-
Hello all,
First of all thanks for answering my previous queries. Now, I have one more query and I am hoping to get best possible answers from you guys.
Query:
I have one business which is located in one city only and I have a verified listing there (I am ranking good in that city). However, I want to rank the same business page in couple of other cities as well. What should I do considering that I cannot create a new listing for other cities because I have my office in single location only?
Looking forward to answers.
Brian

To add to what Miriam has said, there is no quick or easy answer to "how to rank organically". My best suggestion is to start with the Moz Beginner's Guide Chapter 4 (Basics of Search Engine Friendly Design and Development) and go from there.
Of course, if you do come up with questions as you go, feel free to post them in the Moz Q&A. There are lots of people who are willing to help. Be as specific as you can to get the best response.

Hi Brian!
If you'll see my #3 suggestion, above:
- If you'd like to start working toward gaining some additional visibility for other cities you serve, you will need to do so organically rather than locally, via the creation of unique content and earned links to that content.
Hope that helps!

Thanks Donna and Miriam for answering the queries. Can you tell me how to rank it organically then?
-
Hey Brian,
Donna is absolutely correct in her explanation. Just for further clarification:
-
Local business listings relate to physical location only. They do not relate to, and should not be created for, cities where you don't have a physical location.
-
You don't want to undermine the good rankings you've achieved for your city of location by accidentally violating Google's Guidelines.
-
If you'd like to start working toward gaining some additional visibility for other cities you serve, you will need to do so organically rather than locally, via the creation of unique content and earned links to that content.
Hope this helps!

Hi there Brian,
I apologize if you've heard this already. I didn't look to see what other questions you've asked.
You will not be able to rank a single business page or website in local search results for multiple cities. You can only do that organically.
Your best bet is to create a unique page for each location and optimize them, promote them, and built links to them so they rank well organically. Here's a Moz post called Get Your Multilocation Business Ranking In Multiple Cities With One Domain by Brian Gomez to help you get started and another one called Ways to Create Unique Local Content by Local Visibility System's Phil Rozen.

The Brisbane data recovery business is linked to Corporate data recovery and are physically based at the same address. Now we have other website for the same business, but named after other cities (eg sydneydatarecovery, melbournedatarecovery etc.). The business has only one physical address, which the one used for Brisbane and Corporate. How can we do Local SEo for the other location website with our Brisbane address.
We do have the Google location registered to a local address we have in each cities, but not display to the public." N.b I already build citation using the address for Brisbane Data Recovery business name. And I didn't know about this before. Please help me to fix this mess.0 -
Can't get past the 15th page of Google SERPs
I've been doing Local SEO for 9 years and have never had an issue that frustrated me as much as this one. I have a client who I can't get past the 15th page of Google's SERPS for their #1 KW. Here are the details: The domain is 4 months old In that 4 month span the site has gone from a DA 1 to a DA 24 Spam score is a 0. I know this doesn't mean a ton but I can tell you from closely reviewing their AHrefs report, there's no influx of spammy links or anything like that. The design is a custom wordpress design The content is 100% unique and professionally written content The backlink profile (in my opinion) is full of high DA and PA sites from authority sites with high trust flow ... in my opinion their backlinks are superior to all but maybe a handful of competitors. I was not expecting 1st page results by now but I would have expected top 50 results a the very least. But to not crack the top 15 tells me there's some major issue here. I really need some insight as to what could be holding me back here ... I don't want to share the domain publicly but but I will PM you it if you're interested in taking a crack at it. I will seriously pay someone a small fortune if they can help me figure this out.

Local business with many locations
Hi guys So ive been helping a local business out with their Google my business pages, they have them set up over several different accounts, which I dont think is a problem, however am sure its more helpful having them under one login, does this matter so much ? They are one company, however the titles for their business listings are all different, they have stuck some keywords into the business titles and the area, I am guessing the title for the different businesses in different citys should all be the same just the company name ? is this correct as they need to be consistent dont they ? As i am sure WH smiths for example all their business listings in different citys are just WH smiths and not with some keywords after each different branch ? I just wanted to check this up, and make sure I wasnt messing up someones listings lol !! J

My Evernote Notes showing up on Google Search page ?
I may just be living under a rock here in Reno, but tonight while doing a search (on desktop) for a phone number of a restaurant in Tahoe, Google served me a bunch of my Evernote notes along with my SERPS After the initial "WTFriday" moment, I realized that there was an "Evernote" bar above a series of images of what Google must think are related notes --- for example in a few weeks I am planning to take friends to Bliss & Rubicon - and I had saved the map in Evernote. Next to the map image were two notes related to daughters upcoming swim meet in South Tahoe. I did a similar search and this time a listing for hours at a local pool (near Tahoe) and two other documents came up. Since I live in Reno I thought it was odd to get all those Tahoe activities - but the fact that my Evernote on "Tahoe" things was there caught me off guard. The results were locate on the right hand where local business maps usually are -- the map and business info about the restaurant I was looking for appeared below that. ... while the left hand column features traditionals SERPs. . I am just trying to find out if I am late to the party on this ... or if serving data saved in my Evernote files is new... If anyone else has seen this, let me know. I could just be late to this. ...

Multiple listing directory pages pointing back to the same local business profile
I've been tuning my SEO pages to cover cities, states, and metro areas for local businesses we have. I'm wondering if the same business showing up on multiple pages, because they can actually go out and service that area, has a negative impact on rankings. Does multiple pages on your site, pointing to the same content, hurt or help the ranking of either page?

Local Search - Multiple Locations, do i link the home page or the inner page?
Hello, For a business with multiple locations that has a web url built for each location such as: Website.com/miami Website.com/los-angeles For local search (Google+, Yelp, etc), is it best to link the local search pages to the specific page of that location? Or is the homepage sufficient enough? I ask that because it is ALREADY touch getting NATURAL links to a location page, so would local search do me good by linking to the exact page of the location?
