We are looking for talent and having a hard time finding staff with good qualification and passion. Any suggestions or feedback would be awesome. We are located in South Florida.

Why you didn't put this in inbound.org job board? Or find someone, somewhere and outsource part of work. If you're in doubt look on WordPress team structure. Seems that distributed teams and members works not bad as regular company. Or create Facebook or Twitter ads about that. Be a creative and tricky. Can be SEO test for example. Or make LinkedIn ads.

As you can see there are many ways to find someone.

What all other SEO tool (along with Moz) are you using at your company / SEO Agency / Marketing Agency?

Hello Folks. Let me put it this way. Moz is great. especially, this community of like minded people. But, when it comes to Moz tool's features- it has its own Pros and Cons. And, that's what force us to add other tools to our tool kit. So, just wanted to know what all other SEO tools you use and why??? Let me start this by answering this question: I use SERPed.net as my other SEO tools suite. And the reasons are: It offers 40+ SEO tools ( Few are similar to the ones that I get with Moz, but the other ones that I don't get in Moz are real good. For ex: **Site Auditor Pro, Mobile **Prospector) Along with showing data for their metrics and algos, they pull data from- SEMrush and Majestic SEO. So, I don't need to have subscription of these 2 tools and still I get the data from them. A big money saver 🙂 Let's start this interesting thread 🙂

Local SEO does not rank well

Hello everybody, before 3 months i began seo in gialia.net.gr. Its an eshop based on symfony framework. We started with on-page seo optimization and after making links in directories, forums and article directories. After 2 months we saw rankings for niche keywords (γυαλια ηλιου, γυαλια ηλιου προσφορες) at 5th and 8th page of google.gr. Now, the rankings does down and i cannot unserstand the reason. I checked old backlinks with opensite explorer, and found some spam backlinks links (3/10). Is this the reason that seo not going well? I am very dissapointed and i would like to tell me you opinion about what is going wrong with that site. My customer owns one more domain, fotispapoulias.gr and i am thinking to move all the site that is running on gialia.net.gr to fotispapoulias.gr (301 redirect to all links). The fotispapoulias.gr ranks better in the same niche keywords without seo. Is it good idea? Will achieve better rankings or not? Thanks

Web Site Migration Testing and SEO-QA Automation?

Hey Mozzers, Are there any good Migration-SEO-QA Tools out there? Given a prioritized list of URLs and prioritized list of Keywords, is there a tool that can compare basic SEO factors, old URL vs. new URL, and identify all the specific gaps that need to be fixed? Here is a basic SEO-QA acceptance checklist, for porting any website. . . . Until the porting work is completed we cannot accept the new website. Givens: 1. A list of the Top 100 URLs from the old site, prioritized by conversion rates, landing page traffic, and inbound links. 2. A list of the planned 404 - mapped URLs, old to new site, from the porting team. 3. A list of the current Top 200 Keywords, prioritized. 4. A good amount of SEO work has already been done, by several professionals, for the current (old) site. **How to evaluate if the new site will be acceptable to Google? Check ON-PAGE SEO Factors... ** **. . . that is, the NEW site must be AS GOOD AS (or better than) the current (old) site,
in the eyes of Google, to preserve the On-Page SEO work already done. ** Criteria: URLs ok? :: Is the URL mapping ok, old to new, best web page? LINKS ok :: Are all internal LINKS and keyword Anchor Text ported? TEXT ok :: On-page content, TEXT and keywords ok? TITLE ok :: HTML Title and title keywords ok? DESCRIPTION ok :: HTML Meta Description ok? H1, H2 ok :: HTML H1, H2 and keywords ok? IMG kwds :: HTML IMG and ALT keywords ok? URL kwds :: URL - keywords in new URLs ok? Potential porting defects: Keywords in URL missing: Keywords in HTML Title missing: Keywords in Meta Description missing: Any internal LINKS or Link anchor text missing: Keywords in Page TEXT missing: H1, H2 missing keywords: HTML IMG alt-text, IMG file URLs, any missing keywords: Notes: Until the porting work is completed we cannot accept the new site, or set a target date for potential cutover. There is no point in doing full QA acceptance-tests until the porting work is completed. QA spot-checks have found far too many defects. About 60% of the landing-page traffic comes via the top 40 URLs. With over 100 URLs to look at, it can take more than a week or two just to do SEO-QA in detail, manually, item-by-item, page-by-page, side-by-side, old vs. new. SEO moz Report Card

I just ran some on page report cards. As I was playing around with the tool I noticed that I would get different results if I used my primary domain vs a 2nd domain. The main difference was in how the tool was counting keywords on the page. The keyword used was 'vehicle inventory' Primary domain: www.brand-state.com/inventory.htm Title = 1, URL = 0, Meta = 1, H1 = 1, H2-4 = 1 Body =1, Strong = 1, IMG Alt = 1 Total = 7 2nd domain: www.company-name-brand.com/inventory.htm Title = 1, URL = 0, Meta = 1, H1 = 1, H2-4 = 2 Body =5, Strong = 4, IMG Alt = 2 Total = 13 I can understand if the keyword was in the domain, but it's not. So I'm wondering what is going on here - any help or suggestions on what to research would be a great help. Thank you!

Find New Keywords Tool - Information is not accurate

When using the Find New Keywords tool, the information listed for Rank is often incorrect. I attached an image with two screen shots. One from the Find New Keywords Tool and the other is a Google search results page. In Incognito mode, I searched for the third item on the list, "Speak Creative Memphis." The results put us at #1 for that term, but the Keyword Tool shows that we're #4. Can you help me understand why there is a difference? keywordtool-ss.jpg

Dilema in hiring SEO company services

Hi My question is one that most startups face. No large budgets for online SEO marketing and lack of quality SEO consultants willing to work for peanuts. To the point: 1. Where can I read reviews of SEO consultants before giving a contract? 2. Is it naieve to expect an SEO contract based on real ROI i.e. increase in qualified enquiries? All I spoke to over last 12 months refuse to commit, even in part, to this requirement. My take is what good is an SEO contract if all I get is loads of reports of work done? I do not have the capability to analyse the reports hence I employ someone! 3. I have SEOMoz pro memership. Can I do my SEO myself by using the tools in the dashboard? thanks to all for reading my post.

How do I find the corresponding duplicate content pages from my SEOmoz report?

Once I have run my report and the duplicate content pages come up, is there a way to find out which pages have the duplicate content on them? I have one URL but where can I find the duplicate content that corresponds to it? Thanks Barry

SEO Industry Contracts, Resumes, & Jobs

We're in the process of looking to hire link builders & content managers in the Chicago area. While I know it's not a "core function" of SEOmoz, the SEO Industry Jobs section has been very helpful to us. Unfortunately, it's not easily searchable/filterable by geography. I think the Moz resume & job-board could be a lot more helpful with some updates, including filter by geography. Anyone else have any suggestions?
