Knowledge Graph Results for NonBranded Queries

Hi again!
Sorry I'd missed the attachments previously. So when I do those exact searches I don't get a knowledge graph in the results in my location however if I do a search from your area I do for the Marco one but not the other. (I'm curious if you are still seeing a knowledge graph for the other.) As a general rule, my previous response works for very generic terms like "cola" in all areas I would assume but this looks like your knowledge graph is being generated location specific. When I look at the searches you did and look at the results I would assume that in these cases it is still an authority issue but also mixed with a recognition of your location. Marco is in fact the only well ranking company with their Google My Business listing specifying St. Cloud as their location. So when I do the same search but include Vancouver instead of Minneapolis I don't get a knowledge graph as there are no sites that are a definite authority so one isn't easily chosen in this location and if I do the same search that you did I guess Google has decided that due to my location being different it doesn't matter to me.
Hope that helps
Cheers,

Hey there,
Can you give me an example query so I can see what you mean? I'm assuming what you mean is a generic search results with a branded knowledge graph. Is that correct? If that is what you mean it's generally a power issue really. A combo of age, good links, a large site that is totally relevant. Basically strong entity metrics tied to the query subject matter is Google's go to for the knowledge graph shown for a generic search. For example a search for "cola" is going to have Pepsi or Coca-Cola most likely in the knowledge graph, the same can be true for a smaller company that you've never heard of as well. In the case where a search query doesn't really have a powerhouse of sorts to feature in a knowledge graph then there won't be one.
If that's not what you were asking then ... carry on and I'll try again
Cheers!
Mary

Branded Search Results
I was searching Walgreen and I noticed a link next to business link in the results. You click on it and it's a breakdown of the business - business bio. How does that appear? Is there something that can be done to have it display? Image attached. 1pPgD

How to get an Updated Logo in Search Results?
I'm having trouble getting a new logo in search results. My company, RealSelf, updated our logo over a year ago and both Google and Bing continue to show our old logo in image results. Worst of all, this means that when people look for our logo, they find the wrong one and include that in new, external content. Here's a list of what we've tried: We've modified all the logos on our site with the new one (not including a few PDF whitepapers from before the redesign Added schema.org logo and organization markup Featured a high resolution image on our "Logos" page (top result for "RealSelf logo") Verified wikipedia has the proper image Modified all social profile logos: Twitter, Facebook, G+, etc.. Begun outreach efforts to have high ranking image results update our logo I'm wondering if there are other ideas besides getting more creative/successful with our outreach tactics?

Google detects wrong information to compnay's knowledge graph on search index - Please help
This issue is about website properties' information showing on Google's search index with brand keywords. We have 8 different domains that operated separately in 8 countries. All are responsible for their individual domain. When I Google it with our brand name 'Flight Centre' in Google.ca, Google's search index shows company website link with flightcentre.com and detects all information, social profile etc.. from Flight centre Australia. Please see the screenshot. How to change this information that Google shows or detects website link and all other properties from flightcentre.ca? Anybody about with a quick answer would be awesome? Inclusion in the Google Knowledge Graph, Positive Benefits and Outcomes
Mozzers, Google has recently begun to include some of our blog content within its knowledge graph, Not our company data for the branded searches, but within the results for general FAQ style questions and queries common to our industry. In a couple of cases using our content over Wikipedia which was really pleasing 🙂 My thinking is that this is not just general luck but that google likes our technical blog content and even as far as to promote it themselves and sees us as authoritative in this industry/field ? I see this as an opportunity to continue publishing if anything increase the frequency for this style of content to build up authority in this sector in the hope that google will look at our brand and maybe even our search positioning favorably. (Similar to the idea behind author rank possibly?) Just wanted some general opinions from some knowledgeable Mozzers on this or if maybe i am thinking too far into it? Maybe there is something i should be looking at to further improve how favorably google looks at our content for inclusion in its knowledge graph? Thanks James

Facebook page not appearing in search results
Could anyone give a reason as to why a facebook page wouldn't be appearing in search results? - I've setup numerous facebook Pages for businesses and they usually get indexed and start appearing in the SERPs for their respective name/brand name relatively quickly, but have a Page for a business (which has even been quite active recently) and it's nowhere to be seen in Google's results (not even on a search for the complete URL). Any thoughts appreciated, thanks. Greg
