How much time does it take for OSE to recognize backlinks?

Hi,

We've ramped up our PR since 2-3 weeks and have been mentioned in a lot of publications including a big name like Forbes. But the OSE moz tool still shows zero backlinks to our domain. 
How much time does it take for it to get updated? Do I have to do something manually to make it happen? 
Please let me know

My best advice here would be to NOT spend much (if any) of your time worrying about DA/PA. You will quickly drive yourself crazy doing so. Similar to watching your rankings from day to day, right? You will end up going bananas over it, for nothing. Not to say that you shouldn't be aware and check in on them front time to time but... you get it.

To answer your question, although the amount of traffic the article receives will help readers find the link back to your web page, I don't believe it will have any effect on the link being indexed. However, the backlinks that article earns over time will most certainly help. Share that article and get the word out! Congrats on the publication, great stuff!!

One more question. Does it also depend on how much traffic flows through that link?

This is the Forbes article I was talking about. Is there also chance that without enough traffic flowing, the backlink never gets recognized?

Hey Imran!

From what I've experienced and been told by Moz, it can take up to two months for new links to appear in OSE. This is due to the way their crawls are scheduled.

But to answer your question, your links should show up within two months unless anything new has changed with the way Moz crawls the web. Hope this helps!!
