Effect of Moz Local
-
Hi
I'm pretty new to all of this so please be gentle!
I've been subscribed to Moz Local for a little over a year and my ratings seem to be stuck at an overall score of 82% and an accuracy score of 87% and I just can't seem to get into the Top 3 local searches with competitors from further away outranking me.
Moz Local has been consistently showing Factual, Bing, Hotfrog, Thomson Local & Central Index all showing no address entered. I've been in and put this in myself but no change? Right now my score is showing as 59% with a number incomplete and other unable to be contacted. I have found that, even though the address is entered in a consistent way, that it gets interpreted differently, sometimes leaving out the County, sometimes, the village.
I've started going through the "Ultimate Local SEO Audit" and have completed Phase 1 on Google My Business. Pretty much everything looks in order there and the only real change was associating a domain email address with the ownership rather than the old gmail one. I've started to go through Phase 2 and haven't seen anything new there yet.
What am I missing? Or, are the Moz Local scores fairly respectable? How can I get real consistency in NAP and why does it seem to take so long for Moz Local to make any changes ..... if/ when they do? And, if everything is as you would expect, why am I failing to get in the top 3 when I have more and better review than anyone within 30 - 40 miles?

Hey there,
Sam from Moz's Help Team here!
Thanks so much for reaching out!
So, in terms of the scores overall - we don't do a very good job of explaining what success looks like with Moz Local, and I apologize for the lack of clarity. When a particular location's Listing & Accuracy scores are sitting above 85%, that location's consistency is incredibly strong! The difference between an Accuracy score of, say, 94 and 100 is basically an imperceptible increase in terms of the SEO benefit. Now the difference between 65 versus 85 has a colossal impact, undoubtably, but scores going above 85% are _slam dunking _on their Local listing consistency already. In those cases, making it up to 100 would have little added effect.
Regarding the ranking - the thing to note here is that it is not only listing accuracy that has an impact. There are a number of factors to take into consideration - I'd recommend reviewing this resource we have on Local Search Ranking factors: https://moz.com/local-search-ranking-factors as well as this super helpful blog post: https://moz.com/blog/local-seo-ranking-your-local-business-in-2017 In terms of certain sections of the tool showing you incomplete data - I'd love to dig into this further for you! Could you please pop a message over to help@moz.com along with the name, address and phone number of the listing you're referring to, so we can investigate this further for you and just ensure that everything is running smoothly?

What are the listings (citations) when you use Moz Local?
How do I find what the actual listings are when using Moz Local? I want to add more citations for my clients and don't want to create duplicates. _There are five main aggregators of location data that send information to local search engines: Infogroup, Neustar Localeze, Acxiom, and Factual and Foursquare. Is the info we are giving in Moz Local_* In the Dashboard...it show that "35 listings reach". but what are the actual listings? Do I need to use Whitespark to see what the actual listings are? Currently right now, I can only see like 18 listings. Any insight? Regards, Benny

Submitted listings for Removal via MOZ local 7 months - still showing 'Request Submitted'
I manage multiple health care practices and have them submitted to MOZ Local. The main reason for this is to clean up and remove listings with inconsistent business names, addresses and phone numbers on aggregators such as InfoUSA and Localeze. I felt MOZ Local would be something that could save time and money for myself and clients so I wouldn't have to do the phone verification game for sites such as InfoUSA and localeze. In some cases I submitted for removal aggregator listings 7-8 months ago but they are still showing the same 'Request Submitted'. What is the standard time I can expect these requests to go through. I sort of feel duped believing that MOZ would remove duplicate/incorrect listings somewhat quickly. If anyone else has a similar experience or a timeframe of removal for sites MOZ works with that would be great.

Moz local is telling me that I don't have a Google+ listing when I actually do. What is the problem?
I have about 7 of my clients listings currently in Moz Local. It's showing that we don't have a Google+ listing when we actually do. Everything I have in Google My Business (NAP) matches what I have in Moz Local. It's a service based business and Google has recommended that we hide the address since consumers don't actually visit my clients location. Could that be the issue? If so, how do we take care of this?

Can I add all three branch locations of a small credit union to one Moz local listing, and if not, is it worth it to pay for three different local listings with MOZ?
Adding Moz local listing for a small credit union with only three branches. I am doing this to update their information across the web, but do not want to have to create three separate spread sheets and / or pay for three separate listings. Is there a way to add all three branches to one listing? If not, is it worth the expense and does it help or hurt if you add three separate listings with the same name and phone number but three different addresses. We also do not want to set up more than one Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc, accounts.

Moz Local users: Specs for Images?
I'm working on the the CSV for Moz Local and I'm wondering about Image and Logo specs. For the five images that are allowed to be uploaded, are there any size specs (width, height and file size) that assures that my images will be likely to be accepted throughout the various Moz Local partners? Same goes for logo specs. Thanks,
