Are there any benefits to using Google+ for business if it has no followers and no user engagement?

My G+ for business currently has 55 followers and no engagement - apart from me liking the posts from my personal G+
Apart from the benefits of having content indexed faster, is there any other benefits for me in this situation, from an SEO perspective? I would like to grow the followers and engagement but not sure how as my social marketing skills are not as strong as my technical seo.

Sorry, all the time I was assuming that you set your Google+ profile as public.
If it is public, it will be indexed by Google. In that case, if you have content that answers a query done in the search box, your Google+ might appear in the organic search results. If you have a local business, open to the public, you might appear with your Google My Business' page too. As well as a page of your website that might be answering the query.
Basically three options for answer a query and be in the organic results simultaneously, into one page of organic results.
Therefore not limited to only one: if Google My Business and Google+ are coherents with your website's NAP and content.

What do you mean triple pack?
you mention having my Google+ post appearing as organic result but I believe this is only visible to my followers and people in my circle... so if I have no circle, my posts won’t rank right?

Answering your question: Yes, it is a great option, especially due to sharing an URL is not time consuming at all.
So far, from time to time I include the link of an article. Although, I only focus on having a free glass window for some of my work.
Linked to my website, which by the way I let dropped down due to it was to much time consuming.
Like in almost all professions I have practically no time for my own stuff, fully dedicated to my clients. That is more than enough if I wish a life for myself.Mª Verónica

A few years ago, Google wanted authors to create a profile page and share their content on Google+. Then we were to "register" our authorship with a rel=author link to our Google+ profile.
Even though Google abandoned "authorship"... today, perhaps we should be using Google+ in a similar way to communicate our E-A-T (experience, authority and trustworthyness)?

From SEO point, yes it's worth!
You already stated that helps for faster indexing just by sharing your content there, pasting an URL from your website´s articles.
Those links, as you said, do not pass ranking due to all of those are "nofollow". Although, the algorithms of the search engines read those signals anyway.
Every good SEO signal counts.Perhaps you might consider to share posts of fellow SEOs from overseas, who have similar topics although no direct competitors, of course.
Also some nice comments, from time to time, work like magic for social engagement.By the way, G+ is one of the options of having up to 3 mentions into a single page of results; the triple pack, a page of your website that anwers the query and an organic result from your Google+ that answers the query too. Two Domains, which one should be used on Social Media platforms?
I have a client who changed from a Branded Domain (301 redirected this domain) to a Partial Match Domain, using the city in the domain for rich keyword. I take care of their Social Media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc.). These social networks used the Branded Domain (with the company name in the domain) for years, now the new web designer is asking that we change Username and Domain to the new Partial Match Domain, which is very "generic" not mentioning the company name. Google + Circles
This question is so elementary, I'm almost embarrassed to ask it. I am having trouble directing potential followers/friends to Circle us on our Google+ business page. People add to my personal profile page instead, the result of which, i am not building up Circles for my business while I am building my personal profile which i don't care about. I have made personal requests, used our logo on my personal page header saying "Gina Fiedel representing (business name)" and "Visit our Google+ business page", etc. I feel like I'm missing something. Has anyone found any sort of magic bullet for this? Thanks!!

Using Press Release For Promoting Linkbait?
We all know that a thinly-veiled ad masquerading as a press release is not a good link building tactic. Of course, if the press release is newsworthy, then it can generate some real publicity and honest backlinks. My question is a bit more specific - are press releases an effective way to promote linkbait to niche websites/bloggers? Has anyone had success using press releases to promote linkbait to relevant bloggers and websites in their niche? My gut tells me that most niche bloggers are not reading press releases on a daily basis to find story ideas. I know that outlets like the Huffington Post and TechCrunch pay attention to press releases, but I'm guessing most blogs not run by professional journalists do not. Anyone know if this is a generally true assumption? Anyone know of a way to get a better feel for the type of bloggers that are signed up to get press releases from PRNewswire or similar services? (In other words, how do you figure out if bloggers in your target groups are signed up to get press releases?)

First 500 Twitter Followers....
I am about to start a brand new twitter account... I have been reading about people offering to set-up accounts with 500 followers... I assume these are spammy/fake profiles. I was thinking of looking into twellow.com or twiends.com. Any experience with these? How do you get your first 500 followers? Also any other ideas? AND Does the follow back model work i.e. you follow me and I follow you.... I would of thought healthy twitter accounts for more followers than people you are following.... Discuss... 🙂

Google+ business pages and Schema.org
Hi All, I'm an SEO for a company that runs a number of brands. I'm in the process of setting up the Google+ pages for these brands and decided to watch the Microformats & Schema.org - Real life Use Cases - Mozinar by Richard Baxter and the Online Reputation Management: Branding for SERP Domination Mozinar by Rhea Drysdale to help understand the best way to achieve this. One of the suggestions by Richard Baxter was to include the authorship schema.org, but I can't see how this can be done for an organisation instead of an individual. My question is, how do you manage authorship when your not able to link websites to Google+ business pages, only profiles? How have you managed this on SEOMoz for example? Hope you can help. Social Profile for my business, where do I start
Hi, Today our business has no social presence so we are starting from the ground up. We have implemented the Google +1 button across the site, but nothing more. The social sites I'm considering targeting are: Linked In Twitter Facebook Google +1 I already have personal accounts used personal sharing on Linked In, FB and +1. I'm unsure whether I need to create a new facebook account for each of those and then create the business profile on each one or whether I should use my existing personal account. Further, for Google +1, there was no requirement to create any business page of any kind, all I had to do was take the code and insert it into the website. That confused me as for Facebook and Linked In, I was sure you must have an account up in order to have the social Like or Share button working Given I'm at the very start of this process, it would be great to get others input into how they went about this, and perhaps share any pitfalls they may seem obvious to avoid in hindsight.
