How to Have Multiple Listings appear on Google maps
-
Hi my client has two locations for his restaurants: Me Gusta Tacos
He wants to have both his locations show up in the map pack, which they currently do when you type in Restaurants, Dinner, food near me etc...
However, when you google Me Gusta Tacos the Google listing shows up on the right for one of his locations, but there isn't a Map Pack for his two locations.
I wasn't sure if a map pack only shows up when there are 3 or more locations, for instance, a chipotle which I added an image below to compare too.

Hi Sociable!
Yes, Google will show a 2-pack for a branded search (like Me Gusta Tacos) if the business only has 2 locations in a given city. From looking at your website, it looks like you have two locations about 20 miles apart, so that might be a bit of a stretch for Google to include both in the same pack. But, here are three things to consider:
-
When you perform your search, are you physically at or next to one of the restaurants? Because of the searcher-proximity factor, this could affect the results you see. If you go to the other restaurant, do you then see a different result? How about if you search from 20 or 50 miles away from both?
-
Have you built up enough authority for BOTH locations to convince Google that they should show both in a pack when someone in your area does a branded search. If not, this is something to work on that could eventually influence Google to give you that 2-pack you want. Can't promise that, but this would be a way to work towards that goal.

Unfortunately, your business name is of a type that may have intent problems. When someone searches for "me gusta tacos" how does Google parse their intent? This could be someone speaking Spanish declaring their enjoyment of tacos, it could be a non-Spanish speaker asking for a translation, it could be someone looking for your restaurant, or it could be something else. This being the case, you may need to build brand authority over time. Google gets it that when someone searches for "Taco Bell" there's really no question of intent and they are likely to show them a local pack with multiple Taco Bells in a city or multiple Taco Bells in nearby towns. No one typing that it is looking for a bell shaped like a taco, or a taco shaped like a bell, or what have you. The brand is so known, the intent is a given. So, with your smaller brand, you'll be hoping to build that kind of authority that signals to Google that anyone searching for "Me Gusta Tacos" means your company. Right now, you need to focus on building local authority so that local searches are shown your business. In the future, if your chain expands, you will need to build regional and then national brand recognition, so that you can get that "Taco Bell treatment" in any local pack where you have branches.
Hope this helps! It's a good question you asked.

Google Listing Doesn't Appeare on 3Pack anymore
Hi, One of my GMB listing suddenly stopped ranking in the 3Pack Results. It used to always rank in 1st or 2nd position in the 3Pack results, Suddenly since 24th May it completely Flatlined, I don't know why but It doesn't show up in the results, or when I click see more. It completely vanished for that term locally. My Listing is based in Brisbane, QLD, Australia and it doesn't show up for that term in The Brisbane area. But when the Location info is Australia and not Brisbane, Australia it shows up again. I don't know what is the problem in this case... Any Suggestions will be much appreciated.

Creating multiple GMB listings same address?
Hi Guys, We have a medical centre which has different services like medical, dental, pathology, mental health and 3-4 other services. They are all at the same address within the medical centre. Currently, we have a GMB listing just for the medical centre. But we're looking to create separate GMB listings for each service. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and can speak from experience of the pros and cons of doing this? It seems we will have a lot more GMB listings to manage, but we should benefit more from relevant GMB searchers and this will improve our visibility. Cheers, Mark

How can we better control GMB photos on Google SERPs?
Has anyone had luck choosing photos to display on SERPs for their Google My Business profile pages? Recently, Google has been overriding our photo choices and they've picked some terrible, user-submitted photos to show on SERPs. Our clients are understandably upset about this and we've tried flagging photos which works only a small % of the time. When we call Google they say they can luckily remove individual photos, but this isn't too scalable across dozens of clients we work with. How can we have better control over the photos that show on GMB listings? Any suggestions or best practices would be appreciated! Attached is an example of one we have showing on SERPs for a dealer. How to verify Google My Business (GMB) account in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Hi folks, I know the majority of you are based in the US, so won't be experiencing the same problem as me. I have set up a Google My Business account for a company here in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The only problem is that I can't verify it using the normal methods like a postcard being sent out as the UAE doesn't have a postal service, so there are no postcodes to target an address. Basically I go through the process of creating a GMB account, setting the address details and map marker, then try to verify the account by postcard (this is the only way). I wait 14+ days but still no postcard arrives for obvious reasons - no postal address! So - my question is, how do we get round this problem? I know it can be done as there are plenty of businesses out there in Dubai that are verified on Google maps and GMB. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Google My Business: Multiple businesses operating from same address
Hi guys, This seems to be quite common (especially now with "hotdesking" becoming increasingly popular), but I've never had to do local SEO for a business like this before so was just wondering on best practice for a business who shares the same brick-and-mortar location with multiple other businesses. For Google My Business verification, it does seem you just have to get there first. With Google unverifying the first account tied to that address if you attempt to verify another - I don't want to do this, due to the relationship between my client and the verified business in question. Any suggestions?

Map placement on google disappear after claiming business
Hi guys 1st of all pls bear with me as i am new to this, google created a page for our business im not sure how probably its automatic and since it was created by google its unclaimed. My friend have been telling us that everytime he search for our business which is a furniture business located in the philippines he just type in our exact business name "evergreen diamond school supplies" then map or location appear on the right side of the google search engine. After finding out about google business from a friend i tried to claim our business page, we hire a web developer to build a website for us and since our business name is too long "evergreen diamond school supplies" the dev team suggested a shorter name which is "edssph.com" since "edss.com" is not available then after 2 weeks site was done and we launched it. We claimed the unclaimed business page of our business and it took us 3 weeks to receive the post card and now it was verified. We are very happy and when we type our business name "evergreen diamond school supplies" map appears and contact #'s are there and all the necessary info users need but after 2 days whenever i type "evergreen diamond school supplies" location doesnt appear anymore i have to type in "evergreen diamond school supplies taguig" where taguig is our city where our business is located, so what happened? i hope someone here can guide me. If "eevergreen diamond school supplies" doesnt work anymore i am fairly new to local SEO so i'd like to know what happened or what could i have done wrong. thanks in advance

Verifying business info with old address and inactive phone listing
I'm cleaning up a number of inaccurate business listings for a client, starting with an old Google Plus page. It's unverified, but both the address and phone number are so old that calls or mail send to those will not be forwarded. Any suggestions for verifying a business listing when the typical verification methods simply won't work? Thanks!
