How can I use the images to improve my SEO?
-
Hi there,
I am starting to work on my web and I have a question regarding the featured images of the articles. How can I work with them to improve the SEO of my posts?
Thank you in advance!

Hola LucĂa!
1. Google likes mainly these 3 formats: jpg, png and gif.
2. The less weight you have the images BETTER !. Here I leave a software where you can reduce the images with percentages of how much it reduces it and with different qualities: http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/imageoptimizer/ is very easy to use, try it and you will see.
3. Use the "alt" tag, or alternative text. Google is not able to interpret the information offered by the images; that is why you have to use the ALT attribute.
4. Use the "title" tag or title of the image. It never hurts to put the title on the images.
With these 4 things you will ensure a good optimization of your images.

Hello!
There are several things you can do to work your images for a better SEO.
-
Use original, high-quality images. Try to avoid by all means the stock images that we found everywhere.
-
Optimal file size without losing quality. Images are often the main cause of slow loading pages. If your site has trouble with the speed, try reducing the size of the images and compressing them.
-
Descriptive captions. Adding captions to your images is an image optimization good practice.
I hope this will help you to improve the SEO of your blog. Good luck!

Can Anyone Recommend a Web Page Automated Tagging Solution for Large Sites?
We're looking for a way to automate content tagging on our site with a pre-existing solution/software/tool. This is mainly for content organization and to better establish internal linking connections for a large site. We work with Adobe Creative Suite.

Does a "Read More" button to open up the full content affect SEO?
As we've been refining our metrics for gauging whether or not a blog is effective -- if people are engaging with it -- one of the strategies we've seen (e.g. NYT, WaPo, Yahoo!) is "Read More." I've read a few articles with some who advocate using it and others who discourage it. Does anyone have any history adding "Read More" to their content and the effect it had?

Using images from Wikipedia, The right way to give credit for them?
Hi, I am writing my first blog post and I have downloaded 9 images from Wikipedia, After reading the confusing legal stuff, I am under the impression that all those images are allowed to be used  for other purposes with citing/ giving credit to the owner. At least the ones I download the author said its ok to use them anywhere, for anything So how do i do that? Should I have something like this: Image,  underneath--  image credit to xyz (link to Wikipedia page where i downloaded the image)  ??? Thanks for you time and explanation.

SEO advice needed regarding Bookmark Sites
Hi all We have recently employed a SEO company. They have written some blogs and promoted the blogs on up to 20 bookmark sites. On each bookmark site the text is the same. Will Google class this as duplicate content? Is this a good idea? Any advise would be appreciated, thanks.

How to Handle SEO for Daily and Weekly Market Updates
I have a market news and education site focused on the bond market. Â Each day we have an end of day market wrapup piece. Â We also have several weekly pieces as well as pieces that come out once a month. My question is how should I handle these from an SEO standpoint? Â When someone searches for "bond market update" for example I want my latest piece to show up in the results. Similarly when someone searches for "savings bond interest rate forecast" I would also like the report for that month to be the one that they find. Here are two examples of what I am talking about: http://www.learnbonds.com/us-savings-bond-forecast-3272012/ and http://www.learnbonds.com/bond-market-recap-41712/ Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks Dave
