My website has been declining in rankings!
-
Hello everyone,
I have been doing the SEO on the following site: www.painters-decorators-london.co.uk for the past few years and the rankings are slowly declining since last year. (not the recent Google update).
I can't seem to figure out what exactly is causing this to happen
The page authority and domain authority is higher than my competitors. The on page SEO I believe is done appropriately but I'm not sure whats causing this decline. How can I find out exactly using the MOZ Pro account that I have. I don't think I'm totally aware of the important metrics that one can use on this site to determine the problem.
Please advise!

Hey Hassan,
It could but before you do that. I would do the other points first as you might not need to change them to get a good outcome here.
Also, make sure you do one change at a time to see what works. As if you do everything at once you might go backwards and you would not know what could have gone wrong.

Hey Aaron,
Thanks for pointing out these essential points!
if I were to change my meta titles - could that have a negative impact on the pages that are still ranking ok?
-
ok, I could go into a lot but here are the major onsite changes you could look at working on to fix your rankings.
- Need to move to HTTPS. here is a good Moz blog about it
- Your website is not mobile friendly or mobile responsive. As google has moved to mobile first this could be impacting your rankings too. Here is a blog by google on it
- You have about 192 words on the homepage. Homepages need to aim for at less 500 words but really 1000 words is better. Do not just put words for SEO reasons. here is a good blog about content marketing which will help you work out how to write not only content for rankings but for the end users too.
- I would review your titles too. They seem a little keyword heavy.
Hope this helps if you need more help let me know.

Why might my websites crawl rate....explode?
Hi Mozzers, I have a website with approx 110,000 pages. According to search console, Google will usually crawl, on average, anywhere between 500 - 1500 pages per day. However, lately the crawl rate seems to have increased rather drastically: 9/5/16 - 923

Main Website Redirects to Mobile Website, Mobile Website counts this as direct traffic, is there a way to tell what the source/medium is?
Hello, The situation is that someone is arriving on my main website https://www.example.com and being redirected to http://m.example.com. When this happens my analytics says that the traffic is all direct coming to my mobile site. However, I know people clicking on my google cpc, and some google organic users are hitting the main website and being redirected. Before we didn't have as good of a redirect on our main website so I could tell organic and cpc traffic coming in, now my main website has a huge drop in these categories because they are redirecting to mobile but I can't tell on my mobile how much traffic from each is going to the mobile site. Is there a way to fix this? Is it because my main website is https:// and mobile is a http:// (as I know that sometimes makes traffic direct) or is it a bigger problem that can't be resolved? Thanks

How do I add subdomain tracking to an existing Google analytics account that was set up to track website only (without the subdomain option)
I know you can track subdomains by just selecting the proper code when you set up the analytics and then create filters for the data in analytics. But how do you add a subdomain for existing analytics website. Is there a way to go back and change to the option to include subdomains and then I assume just replace the tracking code with the new code that Google delivers for this?

How does Google sort multiple websites in one GWT account?
Today I noticed one of our sub-domains listed in our Google Webmaster Tools Account moved from the 6th position to the 2nd position. Is there a reason for this (perhaps urls/sites listed at the top require the most attention)?

Can't seem to rank for keyword "home care grand rapids" - need some advice
I am trying to rank for "home care grand rapids" and am having a really difficult time. My site: http://healthcareassociates.net has better backlinks, keywords and other seo markers than my competitors but I still can't seem to rank. The keyword and associated keywords (home care grand rapids michigan, home health care grand rapids, etc.) are only 31-33% difficulty and my site/page rank is better than the leading sites. What gives? Todd

Keeping my rank on SERPs
I recently ranked on yahoo, #4 for my keyword! It has taken 2 months and finally, out of the blue, there I am. This is my first time actually attempting an SEO campaign. At first I was listed for my keyword, then i started dropping after a few days. Then I made a new post, included those keywords, and I got back up to rank #4 again (for the new post). Why is this happening? Do I have to make a new post every 4-5 days to keep myself listed on the yahoo first page serps?

I made 18 websites and the traffic keeps going down over 3 months
I made 18 websites, and have used a analytics web app called piwik. You can google it, but basically it is like google analytics. I have done nothing for the websites no links, no updates. I did do the onpage optimization extremely well. At first I had daily traffic over all the websites at about 200, then like a month went by and it was at 100, then another month has gone by it is hovering around 30 visits -- This is total traffic across all the websites. In addition my websites were ranking much better and alot of them were coming up together in the results in a single google query, now this is no longer true, only one or maybe two come for the same google query and they come up lower in the serp ranking ie. before it was 1st place now 3rd for example, so traffic has decreased respectively. Anybody can tell me what I can do, to regain the positions and traffic I had before.
