Newsletter tracking event GA- Magento
-
Hi there,
I am trying to track an event, newsletter signup in this case, on my Magento store.
I added onClick="_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Microconversion', 'Evento_Onclick', 'Sus_Newsletter']);" on subscribe.phtml
Category: Microconversion
Action: Evento_Onclick
Label: Sus_Newsletter
It doesn't work, it's does not track this event. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks and regards

That code looks like it should work, but it's hard to determine exactly what the problem is without actually looking at the page itself to see how the main GA tracking code is configured. Can you share the URL?
Otherwise, here is a great Chrome extension that helps you debug issues with Google Analytics - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-analytics-debugger/jnkmfdileelhofjcijamephohjechhna

How to do Conversion Tracking for Homepage banners?

But problem comes here is if anyone purchase these product from categories that also comes in goal so how to differentiate conversion of products from homepage and category pages? Is there any implementation via enhance ecommerce? Hope you understand my query? If any confusion do let me know. Thanks!

Huge Analytics discrepancy when I turned off Analytics Module & Turned on GA via GTM
Hello, I was running universal GA via a GA Drupal module. We setup Google Tag Manager and setup a GA tag to run through GTM. When we pushed the GTM container live our Real Time was at around 1900 and when we turned off the Drupal module the Real Time was reporting around 1100. After 24 hours the sessions for that day were about 100k lower than what they usually are. Any ideas Why the larger discrepancy? Any places that are obvious to look? *I didn't setup the original Drupal GA module, nor do I know who did. Thanks

Tracking Product Codes
Hey Mozzers, We are improving our B2B site by adding product codes to headings & meta information etc to gain some traction ranking for our own products and those supplied by others when searched for by product code. Almost immediately we are hitting the top half of the first page for most of these and seeing some nice results. We would like to track our placement for these product codes in google but feel this would be a waste of our Moz Keyword limit and we really dont need to check them once a week, just one a month or so. Has anybody got any methods of tracking our ranking for a a big list of keywords say once a month which isn't too labour intensive? Many Thanks

Differences in site search revenue in GA
I just put in a piece of software to replace a really bad built in site search engine on my 3dcart website. Now I am trying to measure the change, but I am having some issues. When I check the ecom data in the conversions section of GA with the built in segment Performed Site Search, I get promising results. Approximately 5% revenue increase over LY. But if we jump to behavior, site search, usage, and then check the visits with site search, I get a decrease by 4%. And the actual revenue is off, by like double (150k compared to 80k) Anyone have any idea why I am getting these results? The site search function is set up. Tracking is enabled, query parameter is keyword and search url is /search.asp?keyword=

Tracking in Google Analytics
My site has just recently (or maybe not so recently...) had a great deal of https URL's indexed (I was really only able to find this out thanks to the recent update to the GWT Index Status). It appears that Googlebot picked up an ssl somewhere (I already know where) on my site and then proceeded to crawl and index pages with https rather than http. Since I understand the issue, it should be an easy fix. My question is, does Google Analytics support (track) both http AND https for one site, or would I need to set up two different tracking codes for http and https? I figured that I might as well grab some data from the https pages that are indexed before I try and remove them. I've done a little research on using Groupings/Groups but I figured I would reach out to the MOZ community to see if anyone else has worked with a similar issue. Thanks!

301 Tracking with Google Analytics hurts SEO?
Hey guys, I have an old-domain.com and a new-domain.com. old-domain.com has reputation and through a 301 redirect it's handling it over to new-domain.com. I want to know how many people still visit old-domain.com and track this with Google Analyitcs. I read the best solution for this would be a Google Campaign URL. My question: Does a URL like "http://www.new-domain.com /?utm_source=&utm_medium=redirect&utm_campaign=" hurt the effectiveness of the 301 redirect?

Cross Domain Goal Tracking
I am trying to set up conversion tracking on a new website. The traffic will be landing on example.com, but the final step of the transaction takes place on app.example.com. This is the first time I have ever done something like this and Google's documentation does not have a lot of details about how to do this in GA. Does the tracking code need to be installed on example.com and app.example.com? when setting up the goal page does it need to be /landing-page/thank-you or app.example.com/landing-page/thank-you is this well documented in google's help finals and i am just calling it the wrong thing?
