Is it worth it to do this to your site if it has a local focus? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Miriam is correct regarding more info making life simpler for all, so please give us a bit more.
That said, I will tell you that I believe in using maps in a site as opposed to images of maps for the geolocation feature they provide. For local, I prefer geo-tagged photos of real locations as opposed to a bunch of branding logos, etc. Having done a lot of real estate sites and tested various methodologies, I remain convinced, that the more you are clear about where you are re a site and local, the better the result will be when it comes to ranking. Given Picasa and given Google Business Photo efforts, I just think the proof is there. (no pun intended).Best,

Is there a way to host my website.com/BLOG URL PATH from a different host than my main website.com host? Is it accomplish-able with DNS settings or are there other considerations that might lead to complications doing this? Moving servers which means moving ip address but using the same URL. Would it harm the website's SEO?
Hello everyone, The server (in-house) which we use to host our website is a bit old. We are using CDN77 for our static content. What if I move all our website to the CDN service? meaning I use their storage capability and just have our url point to the IP address they provide. Would that hurt our rankings?

Is it important to keep your website home index page simple to rank better?
My website http://www.endeavourcottage.co.uk/ markets holiday cottages and it's grown from my own singular cottage into a small letting agency and I used to rank at best number 3 for the short tailed keywords like Whitby holiday cottages with its drop-down to position 10 on Google.co.uk. So this week I was looking for a UK business to help me improve my rankings and the first thing they said was my home page is detrimental with the listing too many conflicting info with it advertising all 12 properties on it. They suggested a door entry page into the site keeping it simple but when I run it through the analysing tool here on Moz for "Whitby holiday cottages" as an example it came out looking okay. I do the usual things of title tags and meta descriptions for my keywords etc any suggestions or advice would be very welcome thank you Alan

I know Google uses a lot of variables when crawling a website. I wasn't sure if disabling the "View Source" option hindered anything.

How do you visualize website structure
How do you visualize a website structure in terms of (categories of) pages and interlinking. I use such visuals for discussing what you are actually doing now and what can be improved. I have made visuals I few times myself (basically making boxes representing categories of pages and lines representing internal links), but I found that I soon ran into a scheme of huge proportions and needed more paper and more time. Appreciate your thoughts!
