Authorship on wrong page
-
I recently installed my authorship tag for my website blog, however i have notice it appears on the homepage of the site, instead of the blog.
Any ideas how to fix it? Its on a wordpress site and the G+ definitely points to the blog link

Hi Adam, is this question still open, or have you resolved your issue? Please give us an update, thanks! (Christy)

Hi Adam, were you able to resolve this issue?
-
How/where did you install the rel=author tag, Adam? For instance, did you use a particular plugin?
-
is the code showing on the source of the homepage ONLY? or for both?
Take a look at that. You could check the plugin as it also has the ability to assign an author profile to the homepage, like yoast SEO.

It's hard to tell exactly what's going on without looking at your site, but the file you want to edit is called single.php. If you add the authorship code there, your snippet should show up for every post in your blog.

How can I change the Facebook Page shown in the SERP
Hi everyone, got a quick question in regard to our Facebook page and its appearance on the Google SERP. We have individual Facebook pages for every country and language. Unfornately the UK site is ranking in the German SERP rather then our Germany Facebook Site. The UK site is way older and has much more likes which most likely explains why this page is (still) outranking our, fairly new site (couple of months). Is there a way, to push my German Facebook Site in front of the UK Site in Germany? Any advice or tipp is much appreciated. Thanks

Facebook Fan Page Name Question
I know this is a silly question. But i cant find good advice on the topic anywhere. I have a company fan page with 3,500 fans. However, there were some serious changes to the company name, and i dont want to start a new fan page, because of the current fans. Any ideas on this topic? Regards!

Google Plus Page vs. Local
We have a google plus page here, set up as a business: https://plus.google.com/b/118361610870255631824/118361610870255631824/posts Then we also have a migrated local page: https://plus.google.com/111600136449742974371/about?gl=uk&hl=en What I would like to see ideally, is to keep the local marker so when people search through Google Maps our name still appears, but on a branded search for 'world of books' I want to see our Google+ page down the right hand side, rather than the local page currently, search for 'world of books' I want it to look the same as if I search for 'music magpie' Help!

Is it worth setting up a Google Plus page for your blog?
Hi All, OK we all know the merit in G+, Authorship etc. I'm a regular user on G+ and I work hard to keep my profile up to date and with fresh content. I have no doubt my increased number of followers has helped my blog rank (which my G+ account is linked to). My question is - is there any merit at all in setting up a separate page for my blog so I can get +1s for it (probably very few). Much like any company page that gets +1s and people to follow that company. Or is this just plain silly and I should concentrate on building my personal profile? Thanks

Best option for Facebook Page/Usernames?
Hey guys My first post here! currently trialling seomoz and impressed so far 🙂 My question relates to a choice of Facebook page/username for a client whose preference is to refer to their online business name by the domain name, where this business name includes his two most important keywords. So as an example: firstsecondthird.co.uk Now in terms of seo that's fine as search engines factor in keywords in the domain name, and even referring to domain name in website copy does not seem to pose too many issues. However on Facebook I've noticed that if we go with page name of: FirstSecondThird (obsiously we can't add .co.uk - I've used camel case for readability) then when using the facebook search the page does NOT get listed for any of the keywords as it appears it only matches on whole strings. So I'm going to recommend that he changes Faceook page name to First Second Third (with spaces) even though client does not really like this option. Do you guys think that makes sense? Also if I do make that change should I also go with fixed Username of First-Second-Third i.e. with hyphens or stick with one long string i.e. FirstSecondThird, which matches the domain name? Any advice appreciated. PS hope this is under right topic- several others seemed applicable Thanks

Why has SEOmoz added G+ code to multiple pages?
Hi, If you look at SEOmoz's Blog pages, you'll see they have added the G+ rel="publisher" code. On http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1708844 Google says: "A rel="publisher" link from the main page of your website to your Google+ page." Is there any benefit to putting this code into the sites template (adding it to every page of the site) when it could be added to just the homepage? Not a criticism, just curious to know how I should implement the code on my own site (concerned that adding it to the site template is a kind-of link out on every page of my site) Cheers FashionLux

What's affect more SEO between number of Facebook "Recommend" of number of fans of the facebook fan page?
I'm wondering what's the most important number in facebook that affect more the SEO of a site: It is the number of "Recommend" that your site have received or It is the number of fans the facebook fan page of the site have? Also does this really affect SEO or not? If you can provide some data, statistics, link to post or whatever it would be very nice. Thanks for your help

Are Facebook page updates indexed in Google search?
I seem to remember an update where Google said it was going to include Facebook page updates into Google search, but perhaps that was a deal that fell through? If updates ARE appearing in Gooogle search, how do I troubleshoot a Facebook page where they are not?
