Panda softening? Any thoughts on the detail?
-
At PubCon 2013 I notice Matt Cutts mentioned Panda softening and I wonder if anyone who was there has any greater insight into what they are thinking? Is Google finally responding to the overwhelming number of webmaster complaints about Panda? What sort of issues might they be responding to?
"We are looking at Panda and seeing if we can find some additional signals, and we think we've got some to help refine things for sites that are kind of in the border zone, the gray area a little bit, And so if we can soften the affect a little bit, for those sites, that we believe have got some additional signals of quality, that will help sites that were previously affected - to some degree."
All I am seeing on the discussion forums so far is more blah blah blah...

Thoughts about using Hubspot for my clients...........
I operate an Internet marketing firm in the Midwest US called Saw Web Marketing. I have contractors that work for me that handle design, writing, development, etc when my clients need it. I love the industry but struggle (like everybody else) with all the normal things (managing time and keeping up with reporting, keeping up with the little daily fires, finding time to improve my site and blog and learn new things, networking, social media and on and on..... I have been considering using Hubspot software to simplify some of the things I spend time on, look more polished and professional would of course be a big bonus. I don't know HOW restrictive or powerful their tools are. (I certainly am NOT leaving Moz - Nobody compares to Moz!) ANY thoughts or opinions would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Matthew

Any Information on Panda Update #21?
A site we've been working on and doing well with (relatively new) got hit pretty hard on November 4th and 5th. Since then, traffic is down considerably and we're trying to diagnose what specific triggers may have caused such a change.

Any resources help at this point. Should i be focusing on re-writing my OLD web content? Should i focus on building more links? Like i said, anything helps at this point. thanks, Paul

Nuked by Panda 3.3?
As I understand it, Panda 3.3 was a relatively minor refinement to the general Panda process. We have a site that was absolutely nuked on or about the same time as the Panda 3.3 update. Does anyone have any particular insight as to what was contained in this update? We're scratching our heads. Thanks.

Huge Hit and Bouncing Rankings Since Panda 3.3 Update?
Has anyone else seen rankings bouncing all over the place since the end of Feb? A client's site is for the term hcg which I know is controversial but we were in 3rd or 4th for the past couple of months until this update. Now for the term "hcg" the rankings are bouncing from the twenties to over 100 multiple times a day. I check them throughout the day with non personalized search, rank checker, etc to just try and keep updated. I have never seen rankings bounce around so much after an update and am wondering if this update is somehow effecting these more controversial search terms. Since The end of Feb our traffic has almost dropped in half due to the drop in just the "hcg" term ranking We have been cleaning up the site, updating lower quality content, blogging frequently and trying to build better links for the past couple months of working on the site. The problem is there have been a few other previous SEO companies that worked on the site and I don't know how much black hat tactics were used. Any insight or suggestions on this would be appreciated, we are all scrambling to try and recover from this.
