Moz / more changes on the way?
-
I love Moz and the community and all the tools here. I admit I haven't rolled around in all the new things rolled out a few months ago.
I thought there were more changes on the way but I wasn't sure if those already happened and I missed them or if I need to be patient?
Affiliate program, client reporting?
Thanks for any response. Have a great weekend!

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for the question. There are a lot of changes and improvements that were already rolled out with Moz Analytics. Some of the more prominent ones include:
- A more robust custom reporting platform
- A new integrated brand & mentions section that allows you to track mentions of branded terms, competitor mentions, and industry conversations.
- More integrated link data with link opportunities called out
- An expanded rankings section
- A new traffic-focused dashboard showing metrics and progress across your different inbound channels
- Matt Brown wrote a field guide to the tool soon after launch which provides some more details: http://moz.com/blog/a-field-guide-to-moz-analytics
- Another addition you might not know about is a new alerts feature as part of Fresh Web Explorer. This allows you to set up email alerts anytime your brand is mentioned in web content that was recently published. It's like Google Alerts, but more robust.
All that said, this is a platform that we are very actively working on. A few things that are up and coming in Moz Analytics:
- Monthly timeframes, which will allow you to see your data broken down by month for higher-level views and comparisons.
- Better interfaces to gain insights now that so much keyword data is Not Provided
- A little further out: A new section focused on measuring the effectiveness of published content and finding ways to make your content marketing more effective.
We are also focused on making improvements to some of our most popular tools, like Open Site Explorer and Fresh Web Explorer.
We went through a period in which our tools were a bit stagnant while we worked to ship the Moz Analytics platform. Not that it's out, we will be shipping new capabilities and features very frequently.
If you have specific features you are looking for, I encourage you to add them to our feature request forum. We try to make sure we respond to each request so you have an idea of where it lies in our current priorities.
I hope that helps. Let me know if I can supply any more details.
Best,
Adam

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for the post and glad to hear you're enjoying Moz Analytics!
Regarding the Affiliate Program, it's been placed on hold for the moment. I'm not sure when it will be renewed, but I'm sure it won't be too long. And I'm not sure what you mean by client reporting, but custom reports for campaigns are now up and running. We're hoping to have the monthly time frame up by the end of Q1 and multi seat out by the end of Q2. Hope this helps!
Best,
Sam

Moz Pro: Redirect Chain warning given to pages that don't have redirects
When I look up crawl errors for a page, I'm always told the page suffers from redirect chaining. However, when I do a redirect check (in this case, using the Redirect Path Chrome extension), it indicates that my page does not use a redirect. Why would Moz detect redirects, while no other redirect checker resource does? For example, this URL gets Moz's redirect chain warning: https://www.aem.org/news/january-2018/5-reasons-iot-projects-fail/ But there is no redirect associated with this URL.

Moz keyword mention on-page counting errors
Hi. Moz is showing 18 mentions of the keyword 'street furniture' on this landing page https://www.broxap.com/street-furniture.html But I can only count 6 in total in the body copy and 13 if you include navigation links. This is the same on other pages too for that keyword. Does anyone know where it's counting these extra keywords from? I don't want to fall foul of keyword stuffing but as far as I can see we're not! Could Moz be miscalculating? Any help appreciated! Thanks Joe

We Launched a new site and Rogerbot is still reporting on links/errors from the old site, is there a way to clear those out?
We are mostly a Branding agency, and have not put a lot of effort into SEO for ourselves... SEO tends to take a backseat to design most of the time, making it a little difficult for me at times when it comes to SEO. We recently launched a new site, http://Roninadv.com/ and the developer and I have done quite a bit of work to make it work well for Google. I was really looking forward to a new crawl report from Roger, but alas, It's like Roger crawled the old site? The new site has been up since last Monday. Is there a way to clear out the old errors? Do I just need to give roger more time?

Moz Crawl Test: Referrer is sitemap.gz?
Hi,
Moz Bar | | Titan552
I'm looking at a crawl test report, and I'm seeing that most of the pages have the sitemamp.gz file listed as the referrer. As I recall in my other reports the referrer is usually the root domain - unless of course there's a redirect. Does having sitemap.gz as the referrer indicate a problem? If so, what problem does it indicate? Thanks!0 -
Why does Moz Analytics drop my Google Analytics connection every time I login?
I get the following message every time I check the Moz Analytics dashboard on any of the sites I manage. It seems like a bug in the system. Does anyone know how to fix it? "We lost connection with your Google Analytics account. Don't worry — you won't lose any data. Please reauthorize now."

Moz Bar | | S.S.N
but.. Moz crawl is showing URL Y with a Rel Canonical Tag of URL X ..any thoughts why this would happen? which should i trust more?0
