Can you recommend any USA web testers
-
Hi
We are a UK based company who sell in the US, DE, FR and AU. We have been selling in the USA for a few years now, mainly through Amazon and few key retailers we have a website for direct sales but we are finding extremely difficult to convert our traffic. we are looking ta conversion rates of 0.19%
We have over 2000 email subscriber list which we are emailing on regular basis, from a first person perspective, telling them the befits of products, competitions etc using soft sell tactics.
We have a large Facebook, pinterest and twitter following
The site functions well there's room for improvement but in the UK the sales are a lot higher.
I'm looking for a way to test our site on an american audience tos ee if we are conveying the right messages. Although we speak pretty much the same language what our customers in UK like could be completely different?
Our american site is www.tidy-books.com
any suggestion on how to continue would be great
thanks

Another decent site for usabilty testing is: http://www.feedbackarmy.com/ (not the best, but good results for a company with a tight budget).

I've never used it but I've seen http://www.usertesting.com/ mentioned a few times around the SEO world and it looks like it should let you target the types of users you're looking for.

Consolidate to one robust web property?
I am new at my company. I was brought on to generate more leads via their websites. Although, they aren't letting me do what I think is best. So I need help convincing them. Can you please help me prove them wrong? We are an online reseller/distributor. We sell our products under one brand. We sell a wide variety of widgets that are manufactured by several different companies. We have 9 unique web properties and 50 landing pages. Each website and landing page is on a unique domain, design, and purpose. I would like to consolidate everything to one robust, e-commerce website that will reside on our primary domain. My bosses are convinced that more websites are better because it will prevent our competitors from ranking above us. We can "block" them from ranking on all the main keywords. They are also convinced that domain name plays a major role in SEO. But I've got that part covered What do you think?

Google displays the wrong store hours. Can anyone help lead me to the fix?
When doing the following search on Google "Ticket King Milwaukee hours" we see the wrong hours displayed at the top of the page. Just to the left of our places page, you will see "Tuesday hours 8:30-1:00 pm." That 1 pm closing comes up for every weekday, even though we are open until 6 pm weekdays, and 3 pm on Saturdays. I have checked the hours listed on our G+ page, our "Places for Business" page, our "about us" page on our website, and can't find where they are getting this incorrect data. I even went out and checked most of the "List your business" sites that I have registered with.

I have submitted this to Google, but have not heard back. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this, or at least find out where this bad data is coming from? I did find a company blog post from 2010 that listed our ours in a somewhat confusing way, but it was still correct. (I have since fixed that old post.)0 -

Drop In Rankings / Traffic... Can you find any technical issues with my site?
I haven't spammed the engines, if anything I haven't done enough link building. So let me start here: I split my old domain www.STbands.com into two separate domains - www.Suddora.com and www.CustomOnIt.com . The main site now goes to Custom On It and each page directly 301 as it was relevant. I knew there was going to be a little blow back... The first month went fairly well but last week we noticed a dip in organic search traffic and sure enough some of our main keywords are now suffering. I am wondering if this is because we haven't been building enough links to the new domains or if our new eCommerce CMS (magento enterprise) has technical SEO issues that is giving Google trouble. Nothing on GWT looks terribly wrong, should i be searching for something specific? Anything helps at this point, we are in dire need of some direction on what could be wrong. Any suggestions?

Can I pick your brains for how to impliment this bit of #RCS?
I'm looking to do a bit of #RCS so I thought we would sponsor an animal from the Woodstock Farm and Animal Sanctuary, which is less than a mile down the road from our business. Here's the sponsorship page. http://woodstocksanctuary.org/join/sponsor-an-animal/ I figure we can post pictures of the animal, blog about it's story and what it's up to that month, and people will find it interesting. The real meat of this will be getting more 'likes' perhaps, or more social shares, maybe? I'm not exactly sure what to do here. Should we do something like: the person who shares/tweets our story the most will get an animal sponsorship in his /her name? Or for every new 250 likes we'll sponsor one additional animal? If we can get to 1000 Facebook likes we'll do "The Sanctuary Seven" where we'll sponsor one of each animal? (you can see that info on the page as well). I just don't feel inspired in the area of how to best implement this. Any ideas? We do already have 516 Facebook likes: https://www.facebook.com/StadriEmblems

Do you have to have a Google+ profile page for a person before you can build a Google+ brand page?
There was some debate at MozCon 2012 about this issue. I have my personal Google+ page which I didn't want attached to the brand of one of the sites I manage. I saw no other way to create a new Google+ page for this brand except to create a new profile under a different gmail account. The problem is, I had to put in my personal name to create the profile (you can't put in a business name, Google won't accept it), so now I have two "Dana Tan" author pages in Google+, the second one is where I built the page for this separate business "Celebrate Communion." Unfortunately, this has muddied the waters because people are following me in both places (it's fragmented my circles). I would like to add customers who are already on Google+ to my business pages circles, but the business page won't do it. Is it possible to build a Google+ business page without all of this brand confusion? If so, can you send me directions? I have found nothing online that says you don't need a profile to do a brand page. Also, once the page is built, what is the best way for me to reach out to customers with google accounts? I don't see a good way to do that on businesses pages either. On my profile page I can load all the emails into my contacts list, but then those contacts can only be added to my profile page and not the brand page. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Dana

Switching to a .travel domain - (recommendations and suggestions)
Hi, I am looking for an expert advise in terms of domain switching. I am in charge of a little colombian travel agency page "www.brandname.com" and i am thinking about switching to a .travel domain we purchased month ago. - "brandname.travel" I would like to share some thoughts and would appreciate any comment, suggestions or recommendations. "brandname.travel" url is shorter and more travel related I also think it is easier to remember than "www.brandname.com" we often use "brandname" in communications rather than "brandname travel" url within our site would be shorter i expect google to give more weight to .travel domains we also 301 redirect "brandname.travel" to "www.brandnametravel.com" Risks: we would loose positioning (for some important keywords we have top positions) less conversion less traffic customer not aware of .travel domains Question? how long does a recovery take? currently we 301 redirect "brandname".travel to www.brandname.com would this help repositioning our page? If we do this, when? Low search periods? -How strong do see a .travel domain compared to a non .travel domain? Any help is greatly appreciated
