Optimize Slideshare Presentation
-
I built out a few slideshare presentations, and they are getting a few views. What's weird is when I search for them it takes me pages and pages of sifting to actually find them. Thats even when I use quotation marks around my account name and the individual presentation title. Any ideas on how I can better optimize my presentations?

There are two main ways to do something like this.
1. The easiest way to organize them would be to build a page on your site that has a list of your presentations, and then each presentation you can link to as either a .PDF or .PPTX file (or both).
2. If you really want to take it to the next level, build out each presentation as a page in HTML. Have each slide displayed as a graphic, where they end user can click for the full page view. Place your comments / what you'd say during the talk below each slide, listed on one long page. This is a lot like the Moz whiteboard video talk, where the transcript from the video is below on the page.
I hope this helps!

Optimized pages ranking lower than homepage with keywords
Ok, I know this question has been out there before, but i don't know how fo search for it specifically enough. I have several keywords that rank higher on my home page. As you know MOZ assigns keywords to whichever page on your site popping up in search first. So even though i have A-grade optimized pages for a particular keyword, that page may not pop up BEFORE the homepage for instance, on searches. In many cases, the homepage is grade "F" for a particular keyword, yet its pulling up first for most of my keywords. I know that my homepage has more rank because it gets the most visits and i'm sure we can't really optimize the homepage for EVERY keyword. What is the best thing to do in this situation? Do i just need to wait for my optimized page to catch up in rank, or is there a trick to optimizing homepage to ALL key words at grade "A" level? Do i need to keep back-linking to my optimized page directly to get the juice up? I created all these great optimized pages for specific keywords, but my homepage which shows "F" grade is the one pulling up 4th or 5th on searches Help??

After reading of Google's so called "over-optimization" penalty, is there a penalty for changing title tags too frequently?
In other words, does title tag change frequency hurt SEO ? After changing my title tags, I have noticed a steep decline in impressions, but an increase in CTR and rankings. I'd like to once again change the title tags to try and regain impressions. Is there any penalty for changing title tags too often? From SEO forums online, there seems to be a bit of confusion on this subject...

Are there different tactics to optimize for Bing vs. Google?
We are ranking very well in Google SERPS, but lackluster for the most part in Bing SERPS. i haven't seen anything that clearly lays out how to optimize for Bing, but my concern is that if we make changes to opt for Bing that we might lose Google ranking. Any insight as to what we might do?

Local Offices Optimization
One of my client has offices in 11 different cities and we have a page on the website for each office. I have optimized each page as well as I could for each city. Every on-page aspect I nailed and I even added a unique 100-150 words text and 3 pictures of the offices to each page to make sure Google wouldn't penalize me for having nearly identical pages. Here's one of the page (the Montreal office): http://pierreroy.com/en/offices/bankruptcy-trustee-montreal/ However, even after doing all that, I can't seem to get as many #1 rankings as I think I should. I get outranked by websites not optimizing their page properly... Is it because of inbound links metrics? How do you build links to each office page without spamming? Any advice? Thanks!!

Please I need some optimism for this (not provided)
Does anyone see this getting any better. It is getting absolutely ridiculous and almost to the point where it looks like soon analytics will be pointless! Can Rand pull some connects and tell Google - Hey Camon! This is ridiculous, we need to see at least a little bit more of these! notprovided.jpg

Do you use a different tactic to optimize for Bing?
Google is king, but it seems as though there is a significant source of traffic and revenue from Bing. What is the preferred strategy? Optimize for Google and hope it filters to Bing? An obvious concern would be that if we change tactics to please Bing, we could stand to lose our rankings with Google. Any opinions/thoughts/feedback/suggestions would be appreciated.

How best to optimize for a law firm that specializes in 3 different areas
I realize the importance of keyword research and finding keywords where there IS demand and not TONS of competition and optimizing your title and descriptions etc AND content on the different pages for those same specific keywords.......... But.... What do you suggest I do to BEST optimize a site for a law firm that handles family law (divorce), bankruptcy AND criminal. It's one firm with 3 attorneys who specialize in different areas. I know SEO is challenging and ever changing and I read and study and have made significant, noticeable, improvements for some sites but I have to admit this is over my head. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you in advance and have a GREAT weekend! Matthew
