Hi,

I'd like to build links to my websites from other relevant sites that are about similar topics. To do that in the best way, I am looking for a tool that generates keywords for a specific site or a page. This tool should basically analyze the website and understand what topics is it about. Then I can compare my website and the website I am looking to do link building in and see if the relevance is high.

I remember SEOMOZ had a similar tool. Does anyone knows the link to that tool or other tools that can help me do the task I am looking to do?

Google Adwords Keyword tool can generate related keywords for a specific website.

Just insert the URL in the second text box titled "Website" and you'll get a list with keywords relevant to that website.

Inbound Links/Spam Score - Disavow

Hi I have been using the Links tool in our Pro account on Moz, using the MOZ spam score/inbound links tool I can identify the linking domains and their spam rating. It shows we currently have around 4.8k linking domains and when I export the data I receive information like below. (Name - Spam Score)

8 point decrease in DA, increase in search traffic- should I disavow links?

Would a decrease in DA reflect the need to disavow junk links? My branded keywords recently bumped down two spots, whereas the keywords which have been bringing me the most traffic have been unaffected. Site: Edwardsturm.com DA decrease of 8 over past 3 months. Keyword "Edward Sturm" recently moved to second spot.

New to Moz, need some probably basic answers about Keywords, Linking, Competitors and General SEO

Hi, So I have quite a lot of data colelcted about my site now, regarding keyword research, page crawling and competitor research ect. But I find myself second guessing myself about what I have done and what to do next. I have done basic research for as many relevant keywords I could think of to my site, including branded and non branded terms. If the main competitive keywords for my niche are very competitive, shall I start doing more research for long tail keywords and only try to rank for them? Does is matter how many keywords I am doing research for? Does is matter how many keywords I try to optimise for each webpage? Are the amount of branded keywords I am researching skewing my results? As they are all ranked #1, but nearly all of the non branded keywords are much further down the list... Once I have decided what keywords are worth trying to ranking for for each page, are the techniques to actually rank more highly for them - Title, H1 Tag, Description, Meta Data, Fresh Content and using the keywords on the page? Or are there more techniques I haven't heard of? Under Keyword Rankings - I noticded that some of my keywords are directing to specific pages, like "Cavity Waxes" is directing to the URL ending in .com/cavity-waxes - How do you assign the keywords im researching to specific URLs? - Or does Moz do it automatically? As most of my keywords seem to be unassigned to any URL, is that because they are not ranking highly enough? How do I best use the data collected through Moz? Good practices? Techniques? Tips and Tricks? What is the best practice for finding potential link partners and asking them for mutual linking? Techniques for finding partners that are likely to link with us, but still provides link juice. I must apologise for this long-winded set of questions, but these are troubling me! Is there a tool on Moz or out on the internet that does bad link checker

I'm still pretty new to this and I was wondering if there is a free software, one of Moz or free out on the the internet that allows you to check bad links. I've done a lot of link building with citations and directories that for my clients industry. I just don't want to add their website and profile to a bad/risky directory and it penalizes my clients. I've seen a few out there, but I need one that is respectable and reliable. Any suggestions? I found one called bad neighborhood http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/text-link-tool.htm. Specific external links

So...we have an A+ rating with the BBB and have for some time. We have a link from their page. We also use sites like pricegrabber and reseller rankings and have links from those. What I can't figure out is why links from the BBB and Pricegrabber don't even show up in open site explorer but the reseller ratings links are everywhere. The BBB one is easily the oldest and the other two are roughly the same age (i.e. at least a couple years old.)

OK I'll try again.... Linking root domains and external links

I'm new to the crawl test tool, I think I know what is meant by external links and linking root domains but I need to check. If there are 500 external links and 50 linking root domains does that suggest the essentially those 500 links are coming from 50 root domains? If yes, then what would 1000 linking root domains and 100 links mean? Or am I completely wrong in my assumptions and if so, can somebody point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Open Site Explorer WAY Off in Terms of Link Profiles?

Hey, One of our websites is www.inspireeducation.net.au. I have noticed although tools like Raventools capture our links well, Open Site Explorer is doing a terrible job... For example the following page >>> http://www.inspireeducation.net.au/courses/training-and-assessment-courses/certificate-iv-in-training-and-assessment/ has many many more than 8 root domains linking, however Open Site Explorer only presents 8? We are finding the same problem for almost any page we review through Open Site. Does anyone have any idea why the numbers would be so out? The new links are NOT fresh links. Many are well-established (been there for years), and even many newer ones have been there for more that 60 days. I find the same thing when reviewing competitor sites.. is Open Site Explorer working properly at all at the moment?

Latest OSE Update - Strange Numbers and Links

Hey everyone. I just checked our website in OSE with the latest update and noticed some strange numbers. The number of linking domains skyrocketed from 300 to 785 which definitely caught me off guard. Like all good SEOers I work hard to get links, but in a typical month I usually get between 40 and 50. To suddenly jump up by over 300 seems odd. Digging deeper, I noticed that some of the incoming link domains could be considered less than trustworthy (pages filled with links), while others I couldn't find at all on the page in question. I also never ever asked for any of these links, nor did anyone on my team. Should I be worried? I've heard of websites who purposely gain bad links to their competitors in order to penalize them. Is there an easy way to find out if this is going on? Could this possibly be a problem with OSE and just reporting non-existant links? Thanks for your feedback!
